Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Overall ok but dinner and the pool facilities were very disappointing The hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly. We booked the 'bed breakfast and dinner deal' for a special evening, our first kid free evening 3 years. We booked this hotel believing they would a provide a professional and high quality atmosphere for our special night. Check in staff were lovely and the room was clean and meet our expectations . Breakfast too was great - could not fault it.. However dinner was a complete let down. The dinner service took way too long . So long in fact we missed our plans that we had set up for after dinner. Staff were friendly, but the service was not professional. The atmosphere was not very nice either - they sat us in the breakfast section, so not even set up for dinner. We felt like a bit if an after hought, despite calling the hotel before our arrival to tell them this was a special occasion for us. The pool facilities were overcrowded and there was no control over kids using the facilities - despite signs all around the pool starring no shouting or 'bombing' into the pool. Staff were indifferent to the volume of noise. Overall ok - but would not recommend booking if you are looking for a high quality experience. February 6, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. Breaklfast always seems to be an issue on Sunday mornings. Last Sunday I together with other guests had to wait for up to 5 minutes for bacon to be brought out. On complaining to staff I was told that the grill was being used for gluten free bread!. A comment I do not understand, surely keeping the buffet stocked is more important. February 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check in poor After a very poor check in and even with my platinum status resulting in no to every request what a joy to bump into Michelle GR Manager who instantly acted on our issues and were now able to enjoy the club lounge and other benefits with our 4 year old also with excellent service from the Italian Host the experience so far improved dramatically.Have rebooked for the end of Feb and will use on future visits which are many times in a year please harmonise reception. The area is full of bars and restaurants so you are never short of places to go. The hotel staff are very helpful and polite which made our stay very enjoyable. They was loose and the sound that you could hear was not very good. when you are trying to sleep. It sounded if the wind was howling, or the air conditioning was making a howling sound. I can honestly say the service we received in every area of the hotel was quite sensational. The staff were wonderful, very approachable and helpful. We had an amazing two days/nights and would definitely recommend the hotels to others. Thank you for making our friends wedding so memorable. I think the only downside was the cost of parking, an extra £20 on top of our room price was quite steep, especially as we were staying in the hotel. January 8, 2014

We always feel completely at ease, with very lively grandchildren the whole experience was totally stress free...no tutting if the children were over excited...would highly recomend hotel to families or couples. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will definitely revisit We were most impressed with the quality of this hotel, the attention to detail in the room and the friendliness of the staff. It was lovely to have lots of pillows rather than having to ask for them plus, of course, the bath robes which is always a bonus. Although there was a delay with breakfast due to the number of people there on New Years Day it was handled beautifully and when we eventually got ours it was all freshly cooked and had not been sitting there for a while as in some hotels. Parma ham on nothing !!!!! And cheap tasteless cold veg spring rolls..... That was the offering !!!!! ......the only good thing was the staff were very courteous.... January 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Modern and thoughtful! Stayed at this hotel for my Birthday, We were very impressed with the look of the hotel and the check in process which was very straightforward. We happened to mention when checking in it was my birthday. After going out shopping we came back to find cake and a card from the hotel. This was a nice touch and the cake was amazing! Staff were very nice and helpful. Always had a smile on their faces and willing to do anything for you. Would definitely return to this hotel! January 2, 2014

All the staff I encountered were helpful, friendly and professional. Most things in liverpool were easiky accessible from here. There is nothing to fault it. Clean, well serviced, pleasant bar area. Good selection at breakfast and very friendly attentive local staff. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good place to to do business The hotel is clean and tidy and great rooms. Its a 20 min walk to the centre so in bad weather this can be an issue. On my arrival the receptionist was really friendly and checked me in quickly. The room was great and I had an early start in the morning so there were not people eating breakfast when I arrived for mine. I was shown to a table and told it was self service. It offered a good selection of food and sat waiting for someone to sort me out a cup of tea - I waited and waited and eventually stopped a female member of staff who said she was busy for a minute but would be back.. Sadly I did not ask when but I finnished my breakfast and left without tea. I have to say the following morning I experienced no such problems and the pot of tea was popped on my table within a minute. This did impact on my visit and was suprised that with a number of staff on hand nobody asked. Overall a good place to stay. November 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic break Had a fantastic weekend break at the crown plaza. The hotel was brilliant. Very clean, comfortable beds. Restarant for breakfast was superb. Choice and food quality excellent. Also had dinner and used room service which again was first class. We used the swimming pool,spa, sauna and steam room. Which were ideal to relax after a days shopping. The location of the crown plaza was perfect. Central to everything, shops, museums, restarants. The staff at the crown plaza were exceptional especially Frank the concierge who was most helpful, sharing his knowledge of the local area, even booking us local restaurants. I have 3 children, 2 teenagers and a 2year old. At no time did we feel that the 2 year old was being frowned upon even when she ran through reception laughing very loudly. All the staff had a smile and a kind word to all of them. Overall we had a fantastic time and are planning to return soon. November 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff Even though we found the room rather expensive it did include a lovely breakfast and evening meal which was delicious . We found the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was an executive room which looked onto the dock unfortunately on low tide was covered with debris which was a shame. Our room was comfortable and a good size the bedding was lovely and squishy with good quality bedding and was quiet so a good nights sleep was had. We had WFI , tea & coffee and complimentary bottled water. There was also dressing gowns ( even though a little fraid around the edges ) and slippers. All in all the hotel was great and we will be returning. November 27, 2013

The room was dingy and cold, the aircon blew cold after a short while even though it was on hot. There was a circle of dust around the legs of the furniture where the hoover missed and this by the eay was a Club Room. Maybe I caught it on a bad week. I also think lately Platinum Elite is now just a gimmick it should all be just the Priority Club because all you do is collect points there is very little distinction now. November 26, 2013

Members of staff make you feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble this said our only negative was the bar tender poured an extra measure then tried to charge us for his mistake needless to say he ended up taking it off the bill.
