Best hotel I have ever stayed in for airport transfer. After 22hr flight from Australia the room was most accommodating.
Clean, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Staff very courteous and no "issue" became a "problem".
Buffet Breakfast; Fantastic !!!!!
Put mind & body back in place for the next journey.
Highly Recommend.

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of October 2012, the hotel is first class and the staff are very good and friendly . Pool facility is excellent and you do not have to pay if you are staying at the hotel.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza as part of a Legoland package and was extremely pleased at our choice .
Lovely hotel very comfortable room and fantastic staff.
Food in the hotel was excellent and the children were very well looked after.
It also had the benefit of great leisure facilities and the pool was a welcome addition after a long day!
I am looking forward to our next stay!

Stopped here for one night prior to an early flight from Heathrow. Took advantage of a park and ride offer.
First time at this LHR IHG hotel and will not be my last.
I often stop over the night before (at least 8 times in past couple of years) a flight from LHR to avoid a panic 3 hour drive from my home the morning of the flight.
This hotel was great and got my vacation off to a perfect start. Arrived early evening and check-in was very quick; I sadly forget the lady who checked me in but she was very friendly and helpful. My Platinum status was noted with me getting an upgrade to a club room - which was massive! Also access to the lounge so had time for a few glasses of wine.
Car was parked on-site in their huge car park so no need to hand keys over, which was a real bonus.
We eat at the hotel bar (the Irish bar sounded like fun but was full) and again the food was the price you'd expect to pay, but the quality was better than expected. Breakfast was also very good, decent selection and the eggs to order were nice. Did get a bit crowed, but can't complain as never had to wait too long for anything and it was peak time.
As others have said, shuttle bus take a while to arrive, so took a cab to T3 - not very green. Cost was 11 pounds, so only a couple more for the two of us on the bus.
When I next take an early flight from LHR this hotel will be my only choice

I have just been back to the UK for 5 weeks with my two children who are 3 and 7. We stayed in many hotels including another Heathrow hotel and the Crowne Plaza was OUTSTANDING. The hotel was clean, fresh and bright, great TV for the kids, wonderful pool, room service and food. The best thing were the staff, who were very helpful, kind to the kids and helped at every turn. My son said it all "Now this is a hotel Mum" ! Bless him.

Stayed here last week and was given exactly the room I requested at the end of the corridor and also had lounge access. The lounge access makes the value great as the drinks and snacks are good and there is free WiFi. Same in the morning for breakfast. Shame UK hotels are about the last in the world to charge crazy prices for WiFi...... so this hotel with club access is a win-win.

I've stayed at the Crowne two times in the past six months and have enjoyed my stay both times. It is perfectly located by the airport, has a nice gym and pool, good restaurants and friendly staff. The rooms could use a little update but they were still very clean and accommodating. I also love their breakfast buffet.
The only issue I had was during check in. I am Platinum status with Priority Awards but both times I had to jump through too many hoops to receive some, not all, of my benefits. I don't know if this hotels system doesn't link with Priority Awards' but both times I gave them my number and told them I was platinum and they told me their system didn't say I was platinum. I don't have my card but I was able to pull up my status on my phone and show them.
After some convincing I finally received the recognition however, I did not get the room on the club floor. It wasn't full either because my coworker who was next in line and doesn't even hold status received a room there. To make things worse, both times I was given a room with two twins instead of a king.
I know I'll be staying at this hotel again in the future because I do like the everything about it that I mentioned in the first paragraph; however, I just hope that after a long flight I can check in with no more issues and go to sleep on my king size bed located down the hall from the club room.

I've stayed here more than 60 nights, usually for one night at a time on my way abroad. It's a vibrant place at weekends, with a good choice of eating and an excellent swimming pool and sauna. The Club Lounge is the best I know, with an interesting view out towards the airport. Staff are polite and very friendly.
The only drawback is the lack of a dedicated shuttle - the Hotel Hoppa service can take up to an hour to get you to the hotel if you are unlucky and just miss one - and the airport taxi drivers tend to complain if you are only going to a nearby hotel.

This Crown Plaza was the biggest and best laid out room we stayed in for over 3 weeks in 3 other 5 star hotels. ( Now, if it was just located in the middle of London.) We stayed here to catch an early AM flight to the USA and it worked out great.

Stayed overnight between flights. Perfect location for that. Hoppa-bus to Heathrow every 20 min, fast and convenient. Hotel corridors a bit murky with 70s style colours dark green and brown. Room, big and very bright though, big TV, lots of channels. Cateringwise I only tried the pub on site. Vey nice. Nice full english breakfast in the morning also. Reasonable fast check-in and out. No newspaper for me as Priority Club-member, upgrade to Club Floor Room though. One of the lifts was out of order making waitingtimes for a lift very long. Nice hotel though as most Crowne Plazas.

A good location for business travelers w/close access to Heathrow.
As leisure travelers it was pricey to pay for every amenity we needed. For example, shuttle, internet and parking were considerable extras. Staff and accommodation were excellent. We kept our rental car as restaurant on premise was too pricey.

Always great standard at Crowne Plaza - but no WIFI available which would be appreciated. Brilliant pool - and fantastic meal in the restaurant ... We needed extra towels and bathrobes and the staff couldnt have been nicer ... these arrived in our rooms at warp speed! Thanks for a great stay.

My parents stayed for a 70th birthday treat. Breakfast was fantastic, the room and pool was great but what made it extra special was the friendliness and kindness of all the staff. PS they even managed to bus it into central london (though took a bit of time)

While the hotel's web site states that it has internet access, unless you are staying on the concierge level, you will have to pay 16 pounds per day for internet access which I think is over the top. The staff was friendly as you would expect, the room was quiet and comfortable and we rested well before our early morning flight.

we stayed here before we flew out to Cyprus to celebrate our 40th anniversery we were given complimentary champagne and chocolates, a lovely touch. We had the best time ever the staff are fantastic always there to help with anything you want.We have stayed at this hotel several times before flying out of Heathrow but this last stay exceeds them all.A very big thank you from the Walker family.cannot wait until our next stay.

Decent hotel. Internet service is not included and this was somewhat of a disappointment particularly for business travellers. Wish I had been notified on best way to get to hotel and that there was a shuttle service.

We have used CP many times before, and this is one of the best. Nice friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. I needed to print off our boarding passes for our return flight, the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed all our meals had in the bar and restaurant. We used the leisure facilities which were nice and clean and helped us unwind after a busy day in the city. The shuttle service was very efficient and very easy to use.

Booked for one night. Arrived early evening, smooth check in and were in our room quickly. Ordered room service which was excellent - best quality room service I have experienced. Only two towels in room for four of us but quick call to Housekeeping sorted that out.
Unfortunately, there were some air con units that were quite noisy below our window that did disturb us during the night but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here the night before flying from T5 for our holiday. The holiday was everything we expected. The staff friendly and helpful and the facilities were excellent. We had dinner in the 'pub' which was good quality and reasonably priced. We will definitely use this hotel again.

On arrival at the hotel the computer systems were down which resulted in the wrong type of room being allocated, this was changed upon request.
It was decided to enjoy a relaxing diner at the hotel, sadly this was not to be the case, simple meals consisting of a steak, rocket leaves, bernaise sauce, onion rings, roasted cherry tomatoes served cold on the vine and a basket of chunky fries were chosen, however it took four attempts to deliver meals that were not luke warm, the steak was so tough it was inedible, the restaurant manager was not particularly interested, the meals were dreadful. David who was a trainee waiter was superb and really did try to help.
The saga continued with drinks in the bar which served flat post mix mixers, which upon notification were replaced without question.
On retiring to bed, I was awoken during the early hours as someone tried to enter my room, my colleague was disturbed when a man actually entered her room unexpectedly. My room had a large patio door type window, which was not able to be secured.
On check out, no enquiry was made regarding the satisfaction during the stay, I paid for the first room without comment assuming a check would be made prior to the payment for the next room; no enquiry was made regarding the satisfaction of the stay during the processing of the second room; prior to handing my payment card to the lady on reception I made reference to my experiences at the hotel, I was told to write my email address on the invoice for a manager to contact me. I suggested the offer of a manager to discuss with face to face may be a better solution?
To date 6 days has passed and no contact has been made. I am a regular visitor to Crowne Plazaa and have stayed in this particular hotel in the past without incident, however, the attitude on this occasion was that of a transient hotel where the only thing that mattered was the money in the till, with little regard for anything else.
I do not like review sites and in the past have only used them in a positive light, this particular review is my exception, and as a result of the invitation to comment regarding my stay.
