Superb quiet location next to the Gloucester Road tube station. Transit to and from Heathrow was a breeze. Comfortable, modern rooms--the garden view through the double doors is exceptional. All staff personnel from housekeeping to the front desk to the bar and wait staff were first-class. All requests and special needs were quickly met. We stayed a full week with the children and grandchildren and could not have been more pleased. Highly recommended.

We were very pleased with the accomodations and the convenient location. We did not find anything at all amiss. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. There is a grocery store right across the street, a train station around the corner, restaurants nearby. We also got on buses at the train station. It's close to the Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum (excellent). Kensington Palace and Gardens and Hyde Park are nearby.

Very good location near tube, museums etc. Relaxing athmosphere, helpfull staff. Quiet room facing the garden. I missed an armchair in the room, else very comfortable and clean. Average room size. Very nice Asian restaurant with excellent food, quick and cheerful waiters. The hotel garden is an oasis of calm, I enjoyd some relaxing afternoons in the shadows of the trees (weather extremely hot in London during my vsiit). I would recommend this hotel, and hope to return soon.

Excellent location in one of the nicest parts of London, close to Kensington Gardens, museums and accross the road from Gloucester Rd tube station.Lovely quiet garden at the rear with spacious lawns and large shade trees, a haven to relax and read the newspapers. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the garden with free Wi/Fi. The lounge areas around the bar are beautifully furnished with one section looking onto the garden.
Service was really good and we really enjoyed our meal at the Pan Asian restaurant which offered a 25% discount if you arrived before 7.00pm. Only minus was some confusion with an advertised room rate offer which was resolved to our entire satisfaction.
We have now permanently switched our allegiance for London visits to this delightful hotel.

* Made to feel welcome at all times by friendly staff.
* Location across the road from tube and buses made it an ideal base for travel. Things to see close by.
* Room size was good - in London that can be an issue as they are often very, very small.

My family loved the Kensington area. It is conveniently located across the street from the underground station with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We walked to Harrod's and Kensington Gardens from this location. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The upgrade to Club Room was well worth the charge!

Everything about this hotel was very good. Location to tube, nice safe ease of location. Staff was excellent and very helpful. We stayed as a family wi adjoining rooms. Rooms were clean and very comfy. AC was perfect since we were there during a very hot week. The only suggestion I have is with the furniture in the room. The desk was a bit shabby and worn with chips and overall cheap feel, the chairs to lounge on we're excellent. What it lacked was an armoire or chest of drawers or closet that had a set of shelves. With being there a week it would have helped a great deal to have a place to unpack. That would be my only suggestion. Otherwise excellent all around.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vicki04 Perfect location for London visit with family
We chose this hotel for two reasons - one, it's ideal location right on the Tube, easily accessible directly from Heathrow. Secondly, we were traveling with our two teenage children and wanted a double room - that is two double beds, which is common in the US but not in UK. We were VERY pleased to find this in London and the room was more than adequate for our needs. We would stay there again definitely!

Super hotel. Modern but not over the top. Very very comfortable and clean. Excellent staff. Very pleasant and professional. Joanna and George went above and beyond with their service. I put 4 stars for value only because I think breakfast can be greatly improved. For us the breakfast was complimentary so was grateful but am writing this just to match it with the rest of the stay which was 5 star! The hot breakfast was good but for those like me who prefer some fresh berries, nuts, muesli, it was not there. No smoked salmon either. Also they could add some scones and small cakes as well as some hearty assortment of breads.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dolla55 Fabulous staff, club lounge needs improvement
As a platinum member I've stayed in quite a few Crowne & associated hotels, so was looking forward to spending time in London with my elderly father on our recent visit to Europe.
Location brilliant, 2 minutes from Gloucester Rd tube station. Service staff in restaurant - which, by the way, is terrific - club lounge, bar, reception - all fantastic.
Room rate very reasonable, room smallish especially trying to accommodate 2 large suitcases. Bathroom great, aromatherapy accessories wonderful. Bed itself (we had to share a king which was fine as bed was large king) was very comfortable, pillows good also.
However, the club lounge was a major disappointment and needs improvement. Given that you pay extra for this access I would have expected more. Cocktails in the evening started at 6pm - should start at 5pm - people in lounge almost waiting with their tongues hanging out for bell to ring!
Canapes on the first evening consisted of pineapple, 1/2 cherry tomato & cheese cube on a toothpick (very retro but very unappetising) - and first up only 12 toothpicks on a plate for the entire lounge! This was accompanied by 16 x 1 1/2 in squares of cheese on toast - good grief - I would have expected more from a 10 year old - given quality of their restaurant it was very surprising. Similar for the other nights - selection and quantity very limited and long waits in between each small platter being emptied as single staff member needed to collect more from kitchen - does not compare well with other hotel club lounges. Also only 1 brand of beer available - my father not a fan of Peroni!
Breakfast reasonable - small assortment of hot & cold dishes.

Room ok, check in good but Club Lounge very poor compared with other Crown Plaza and IC hotels we have stayed in - Middle and Far East far superior.
Very small Club lounge, dirty carpet, poor breakfast options, missing cutlery and dreadful filter coffee. Send your staff to CP and/or IC Singapore and see the difference. There was no point paying extra for this Club Lounge experience.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MitchyMan My hotel of choice for central London!
This was my second time staying at the Crowne Plaza London Kensington. There are several positives for this hotel:
-Great location with easy access to central London and attractions. The hotel is opposite the Gloucester Road tube station where you have 3 lines to choose from including the Piccadilly line which is really useful for Covent Garden and the theatres.
-Modern and comfortable rooms. I've been lucky to get rooms on the back of the hotel overlooking the hotel gardens which are extremely quiet which is a huge plus! The twin room this time was also really spacious.
My only slight complaint would be that breakfast service can be busy and crowded given the space limitations, which does mean you may have to wait to be seated. My advice would be to go early on at the start of breakfast service.
They could also do with replacing the hangers in the wardrobes, the lock mechanisms for trousers etc have all but become useless.
But otherwise this will continue to be my hotel of choice for central London anytime.

Your deep, wonderful bathtub provided the hot soaking I needed for my tired muscles as we navigated around London on our own. I don't know how many miles we walked or stairs we climbed but I knew that tub and luxurious bed was waiting for us. The refrigerator was graciously emptied for us and the surprise of free wifi made this hotel so wonderful. Being located near the grocery stores, a laundromat, the Gloucester Road tube station with so many lines running through it, a post office and wonderful bakeries/restaurants made this hotel the absolute perfect choice for my family. The concierge was so helpful. Thanks for adding to the magic of our 15 day stay in London!

Stayed at the Crown Plaza Kensington as a family of three for two nights at the end of June. The room was great and the staff were very helpful and sorted out the odd niggle we had. We will stay there again as it's close to the V&A and other museums and really close to the tube station. Although in a busy part of the world we were not disturbed by any excessive noise. A great place to stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happywonderer Great Location, comfortable bed
Was very pleased with this hotel, its location was perfect for easy access to buses and the trains which made travelling with kids easy. Quite a few restaurants steps outside the hotel. Grocery store and convenience store across the street right next to tube station. Stores for any shopping are a short bus ride away. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Concierge were very knowledgeable and helpful in answering the many questions we had. Room was smaller than standard US rooms but still comfortable and clean. Pillows were uncomfortable (if you like firm pillows then they would work for you). We had a room facing the back garden so it was quiet at night. Enjoyed our stay at this hotel and when in London again would certainly stay here.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MadScot Perfect in every way - a perfect finale for our vacation
My Wife, two teenage daughters and i stayed for three wonderful days at Crowne Plaza as a finale to our UK trip. The hotel and its attentive, caring staff exceeded our wildest expectations and were, without doubt, a major contributor to our fond memories of our London tourist experience.
The Club lounge is not to be missed and access to this wonderful facility is worth any upgrade you might be asked to pay- be it for the excellent breakfast or the use of a computer or the unending supply of tea, coffee, soft drinks, sparkling water etc or the soiree with complimentary canapés and cocktails (sadly i never got back to the hotel in time to enjoy the soirees - much to my chagrin and my wife's delight !)
We stayed in very spacious suite 610 at the rear of the hotel with an aspect over the magnificent tranquil gardens . The private balcony was an unexpected bonus and augmented the suite's aura of luxury and unabashed pampering.
We ate dinner twice in the Hotels restaurant and found everything enjoyable and, considering its location and convenience and London pricing ,very good value for money - especially between 5 & 7 when hotel guests benefitted from a very generous discount !
Location, location, location - two minutes to the tube, then only ten minutes to Westminster Bridge /the Eye on a direct line with no daunting changes that might terrify visitors with a family in tow magnificent. Ten minutes walk to the Royal Albert Hall (Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull was superb)
I cannot thank the management of the Crowne Plaza and their caring staff especially, for making our stay so full of happy memories

We have traveled to Europe several time and each time have stayed at a Crowne Plaza and this was our favorite so far, not only was it clean and had all amenities we needed but was really great area of London. Easy access to underground, bus stop and even the double-decker tour buses. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating when it came to getting taxis, tickets or reservation whatever we needed. If you like to walk there are many sights to see that you can walk to as well. Highly suggest staying here to enjoy London.

As I needed to suddenly decide on my trip to London I choosed your hotel for the location as It was well located for the purpose I came for it to London.
Reception staff were very good, concierge was excellent but the hotel club lounge service was poor especially during breakfast, tables were left for long time with empty and used dishes on them and hotel guests had to move them away on number of occasions and my wife and my self included.
Also,on the 3rd day I had to mention it to the house keeping Gentelmen who daily arranged the room that bed sheet was not clean from the first day we checked at the hotel.
In conclusion,I recommend you review the breakfast arrangement at the club lounge where a simple visit will show you .
Take Care & Best Regards,

This hotel is smart and well located for the road and tube network. We were attending a concert at the Apollo in Hammersmith and for one night it was OK. What let it down for us was that when I book a Kingsize Bed I expect a room size comparable-in no way could the room we had be described as such. There was barely enough room to get by the bed and certainly not enough room to open the tea/coffee/fridge doors fully. That said, the room was smart, clean and adequate for one night.
