Room and facilities were great (as described) but you can't open the windows.
All in all, staff there was friendly and helpful but at the Check-out the receptionist was very rude (mixed up the bills which was not our fault), so this spoiled our last day unfortunately.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tyrone028 Good clean room
Staff was friendly and accomodated our needs very well. Very noisy neighbours though that kept us awake and also front windows must be made of paper you hear all noises outside! Didn't realise breakfast wasn;t included until asked to sign slip and when I enquired downstairs after they charged us £10.00 for the pleasure of breakfast even for priority club members!! As for watching footie on tv in the bar, forget about it if there is something on the bar staff want to watch as they refused to turn it over until there programme is over!!

Everything was fine and I liked the hotel.
However, it was a bit far from the tube station by walk.
And not many stores/shops/restaurents were around, needed to walk 12-15 min to Liverpool street station to get a starbucks.
Other than that, it was really nice, room is very big in London area. I have not stayed in a bigger room in the central London for the same amount of money. comfortable and relax.
staff was ok, not the best but above average in London.
Oh one more thing, the housekeeping knocked on my door looking for an extra bed, told her not in my room but she wanted to come in to double-check. felt kinda disrespected.

Reception staff very busy, yet very helpful, particularly a young Italian lady who went out of her way to get us booked in early due to our schedule not allowing us to be there for normal booking time. Rooms very clean with all the facilities we have all come to expect. The staff even knew that we had opened (but not used any content from) the mini bar!!! So be aware if you do use it, they WILL know!!!! Overall, very good and there are some good deals available.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Barneytoby5 Peace and quiet, attention to detail
I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza a few times in the past, with indifferent experience. However recently I have stayed with them again for business and I must say the experience has been excellent. The rooms are lovely especially in the renovated area and the staff have also been very good. I want to mention Maxine who recognises me by name every time I check in, for London hotels this is very impressive and she always has a friendly chat. As I stay in hotels a lot it is nice to know that the staff make an effort to welcome you back. Maxine is always pleasant and helpful with regards to any request. The little box which is left on the pillow to help you sleep is a nice touch. The staff in both restaurants are very attentive. Great location for the city businessman. This is my first choice hotel when I'm in London and working in the city. First class.

A very modern hotel, maybe not to everybody's taste. However very clean and comfortable. The newly opened part is even better than the old one. Breakfast with great views on top floor, very good, but pricey.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nessie420 It's all about the location
I mainly booked this hotel due to its location in the heart of East London at Shoreditch Hight Street. The hotel is only a walking distance from Bricklane (Market), almost next door to some of London's best nightlife and in a very comfortable reach of London City Airport and lots of public transport.
The hotel and the location I was familiar with before booking completely fulfilled my expectations.
The hotel itself was pleasant, in a reasonable price range compared to the few other option around there but nothing out of the ordinary.
Service and cleanliness were good as you would expect it from such a place. The style, look and interior of the hotel may be argued and are a bit out of fashion in my personal opinion (i.e. they don't have flat-screen tvs yet – in case you care). It's a business and not a romantic or family hotel.
Wifi (free access code provided at reception) worked well but my devices often lost login data, so that I had to reconnect.
There is not a lot but some other options around in this area but I would go there again.

This was a family trip to visit a family member studying in Shoreditch. The location was great, parking facility was a bonus.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful, rooms were comfortable, we used the bar, the food was very nice and reasonably priced.
We booked 2 rooms but these were on different floors, we would have prefered to be closer.
We will use this hotel again.

Our stay was great value for money. The rooms are very clean with extremely comfy beds and soft cotton sheets. The breakfast was great value for money with a open buffet style English and continental menu of top quality foods. We loved the location as we knew we wanted to be in Shoreditch in the evening to take advantage of the bars and restaurants around there. We loved our stay and will always return from now on.

This hotel is very nicely furnished and is modern. The location is not the best and there is very little in the close area. I used this hotel for a business trip and found it good for a one night stay. No complaints here.

Title says it all. Bed was comfy, bathroom was large, clean and modern and the location was perfect for us to party in Shoreditch. Also they gave us a late check out until 3pm for no extra charge.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Norah Our weekend in a different part of London
First night kept awake by banging and clanging noises. Woken early by the same thing. . Worked out it was the lift. Staff were fantastic and moved us to another room . If we had had been in that room originally I would have awarded the hotel 5 stars for everything. We will definitely go back . The staff were wonderful. Everything clean, modern and welcoming. Wish the hotel had a swimming pool though. Conveniently placed with bus stops right outside and a convenient Tesco Express one minute away.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dano Wireless now working !!!
Hotel is clean and modern, great location and well equipped.
In my last review I mentioned that there were issues with the wireless network connectivity - I am happy to report that this appears to have been resolved, it is slow but now working!
Unforutnatley as a regular visitor ther are a few niggles particularly with their upgrade policy for loyalty club members. Also its pricy but this should not overshadow that this is a great hotel in a a vibrant and interesting area of London with great nightlife and easy access to public transport.

The second time in two weeks the WIFI failed to work. Could not get logged on last night, its really frustrating.
Pity but they seem to have a real problem here.
Apart from that Hotel and Staff is great and a great location.
Why I can t access to the priority club lounge as a platinum member always amazes me.When I stay at other Hotels in the Group I normally get that privalage?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nateNYC A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
Just completed a four night stay at this fine facility. The location is great, and the area is completely eclectic and very interesting. There are several wonderful street markets in the area, and one of the best collections of Indian restaurants (at bargain prices) on Brick Lane. Do not miss a visit to the Brick Lane area. Walking around the area near the hotel is a great experience, plus you are close, by foot to most of London's best sites too.
Old Spitalfields Market, one of London’s finest Victorian market halls is a few streets away and is a must visit area!. Set in an historic location in the heart of the City it is one of the crown jewels of East London.
The hotel staff is great....rooms pleasant, large and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent in the roof-top restaurant with wonderful views. Not only do they have a full English breakfast, but you can also have your eggs done anyway you wish. Lots of great breakfast items...an A+++ breakfast! The staff is first rate and most accommodating. We also had dinner there one night. Do not miss the Dover Sole....fantastico!
We stayed in a club room, and the lounge is terrific with great canapes in the evening, plus a very nice selection of wine, beers and bar drinks too. The club rooms are very nice with really good bathrooms, and nicely furnished.
The concierge service was outstanding. Omar is wonderful and so helpful!
Front desk personnel were also fantastic.
Overall, it was a really good experience, and we will be back!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nainai1 A high quality hotel with professional staff and in a good location
I am a Priority Club member and used one of my reward nights to stay during the Olympics. Although I was in London on business, my daughter's flat where I normally stay was already full. Having spent the previous evening sleeping in a tent on my daughter's patio, the hotel was fabulous! A comfortable bed, good quality toiletries and coffee facilities, and pleasant & helpful staff. I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DaveDee Excellent Room
Stayed in a Club Room in the recently opened extension. Excellently appointed room - great bathroom, 2 flat-screen TVs (1 wall-mounted at foot of bed), 2 large wardrobes with interior lighting and a well-sized desk / lounge area. Downsides - slightly uncomfortable sofa and lack of draw space. Breakfast in the 7th floor restaurant (with fabulous views) was good and the general enthusiasm & attentiveness of all the staff was noteworthy. Club lounge on ground floor is poky and not particularly comfortable - hardly what one expects for a Club facility at a Crowne Plaza. Good access to public transport and the surrounding area is definitely on an "up" with numerous bars, pubs & restauarants within easy walking distance. Would both stay again and recommend to friends & colleagues

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ianocean1 Noisy!
Have stayed here before and was looking for somewhere familiar to stay while spectating at the Olympics!
It was slightly expensive but because of the short notice(1day) I expected it to be a bit more than usual!
On arrival was met by an efficient receptionist and the concierge although wasn't dealing with me directly was very friendly.
I am a priority club member although not sure what privileges this brings produced my card anyway?
I was told that I was in the new wing which sounded good. On entering the room it was clean and pleasant and overlooked shore ditch high street. We unpacked and headed off to the Olympic park,
We returned very late around 12:30am and the high street was in full swing we got to our room and the noise from the high street was terrible even with windows tightly closed I was unhappy as no one had prepared us for this so I phone reception to ask about another room and was told nothing was available! The noise continued until around 4am whereupon I fell asleep only to be woken by my alarm at 7:30 for my departure at 8:30!
I understand that the hotel was busy because of the Olympics etc however I think I should have been warned about the room we were given being noisy and what time things calmed down.
Therefore i was disappointed that we were offered nothing as compensation and what on earth does the so called priority club give you if it can't even help you get a decent room? Goodness help non members!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Keef Excellent value Reward Night
Stayed here for the second time (no status recognition and unpleasant check-in staff last time), this time much better than before. PCR Plat Ambassador on a reward night, no room upgrade but comped Club Lounge access. As we only encountered one other couple in the lounge one has to wonder why they didn't give a room upgrade as well at no opportunity cost to them, they must have had loads empty. The standard room was fine, apart from an old 4:3 CRT TV, not great when most of the sources are widescreen.
Club Lounge pleasant, evening canapes disappointing but they cook breakfast to order if you want it and that was faultless.
Location-wise, plenty to do within walking distance.
