Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ruthiewhu Fantastic hotel, but staff were professional, not friendly
Technically I could fault little in the hotel, Rooms were clean, well equipped ,and beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool was fantastic, and at 6am on a Sunday I had it all to myself. Location to the DLR was superb.
The only negative I had was the staff. Although they were polite and professional, I felt as though they were terrified of making mistakes, and not relaxed enough to make real conversation with us. The head waiter in the breakfast room was holding a staff meeting in the dining room in which he reprimanded a staff member for being late. I felt uncomfortable watching this and all the staff seemed too frightened to talk to us. Perhaps they are used to dealing with a better class of client who demands respect rather than familiarity? The exception was a lady of Afro-Caribbean descent (Grace?) on reception who was really friendly. I was also a bit concerned about having to give my credit card details even though I had prepaid for everything in advance.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sarah1979 Excellent Staff
We stayed for one night and I requested a sea view. I phoned the day before and asked if our room had a sea view and was told it did which I was really pleased with. However, when we arrived in our room our view was the building next door so was very disappointed as it was a special occasion and wanted it to be perfect. When I queried this I was told the sea view rooms would have meant being downgraded to a standard room which would have been fine if I could have saved some money and had the view. However, apart from that issue I can do nothing but praise the hotel. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was fab, and when we came to leave, our car wouldn't start due to a dead battery so the staff rallied round and one drove my husband to a nearby garage to buy some jump leads whilst another member of staff drove their car round to us so we could connect the jump leads to theirs. All in all impressed, but next time I will book a cheaper standard room with a sea view!

The hotel is in a marvellous location - overlooking the cable car, the O2 and Canary Wharf Skyline. I've stayed here a few times now and always find the staff to be extremely friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious and spotless. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Average hotel
Average Hotel in all sense.
Pros: Near to Canary Wharf, Prices are average, Shuttle service between Canary wharf. Decent room size. reception guys are good, transport charges are decent.
Cons: Not proactive in serving the guests, You have to ask for very basic things, not all times the telephones get answered. TV channels are limited, most of movies are paid and expensive (where as its expected to be cheaper), swim wear not supplied,

All of the staff were fantastic and made you feel very welcome. The bedroom and beds were lovely and comfortable. The pool area lacks a little ambiance and needs updating. Otherwise an excellent hotel

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GBNic Location & Service
Great Location and good secure parking, close to the DLR so London connection is easy.
The staff were all very good, courteous and friendly, especially in the restaurant for breakfast. Good selection of food available for inclusive breakfast, buy it with a package otherwise it can be expensive.
It's London so the room rate is a little higher than you'd expect to pay, however it is good value, not exceptional just good.
The only negative I had was not being welcomed as a Platinum Member and upgraded which is usual with Crowne Plaza.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ColinOne An excellent experience in a convenient location
Our stay was for leisure and we found the location to be ideal for many venues. We found the hotel to be clean with up-to-date decor and the room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly throughout, including the Concierge, Restaurant and Check-in / Out staff. The only slight negatives were the bit of a wait at check-in and check-out and the lack of food availability when we arrived back from a show.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicky97 Excellent Hotel!!!!!!!
This was our first visit to a Crowne Plaza Hotel and we will definitely book again!
We had a show booked at the O2, so we were able to get the cable car to the arena and a cab back. Reception organised our tickets so we did not have to queue for the cable car
The Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever had the pleasure to sleep in.
The breakfast was second to none and so fresh. Everything we needed was available and the staff always made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone without any hesitation !!!

Having spent one night on business in Canary Wharf I would stay here again. Nicely appointed room, lovely breakfast and very quiet considering the airport is so close.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jono64 Pleasant Visit
A pleasant stay which was ideally suited for a concert at the O2 and the purpose of our visit. Staff were very good and helpful, the hotel was clean and comfortable, it was what I'd expected. I guess if there was a tiny niggle, it would be that our friends booked through a separate website (we went direct to your own site) and paid £65 less for the same thing, but that's life.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lynney007 Lovely staff and good value
Upon arrival we were a little early. We called ahead just to find where to park and were directed in with concise accurate Directions. Being early we were greeted by a charming male receptionist who said the room was ready so no problem in early check in. Lovely gentleman with good humour and warm manner despite the hotel being incredibly busy.
The room was clean, comfortable, with everything to meet our needs.
In the afternoon we had a snack and a drink in the bar and grill and a nightcap after we had been to the event we were in London for. Each time the staff were exceptionally pleasant, attentive and "on the ball"
Breakfast the next morning was fresh cooked and again served by pleasant friendly staff prepared to go the extra mile with a smile and a joke...I even approached the Maitre-de to express our gratitude to two dark haired waitresses.lovely time!! thankyou

we decided to stop at the hotel, as we was going to a concert at the o2, could not get a more ideal position for the venue, very pleased with the standard and would consider using this hotel again for the east end of london,

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mlg13 Good location, quieter than other Docklands locations
This hotel is next to the Air Liner cable car and Royal Victoria DLR station. If you can book when there isn't an event at the Excel Center, it is quieter and less expensive than some hotels next to Canary Wharf. The only downside is that you will need to transfer at Canning Town to get to lines into other parts of London, but a minor concern if can get a good rate here. Quiet rooms, but could hear first flight of day from London City Airport from my room, but the queen with river view is worth it.

On a one night stopover but would have loved to have stayed longer will look forward to booking again as never been this side of London . The meal in the restaurant was excellent and just enough to eat - did not have time to use the pool but looked very inviting.

Great room, great service and check in from Mr. Ashraf at Reception. Bathroom was lovely also very nice bar and breakfast area, all staff in hotel were pleasant and helpful
The hotel is has many healthy activities like swimming pool, fitness center and facing the river Times.
Also very close waking distance from cable car which bring you to O2 and the DRL train to central London and Stratford shopping center.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by moman Our Family Stay
We had a great time, the stuff are excellent and treated us very well. The only issue I have is that the number of rewards points required for this stay 45,000 was a lot compared to the InterContinental Park lane hotel where we spend 50,000. I believe 30,000 to 35,000 should be the correct rewards points for this hotel. On the plus side the spa and swimming pool are great and family friendly. I have travelled the world and been using the IHG hotel group but by far this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MissMary39 Great experience!
My friends and I stayed one night before flying out of London City Airport which is conveniently close to the hotel (5 mins) by taxi yet away from the drabness and noise of other airport hotels. We were able to check-in early, rooms were clean and stylish, bed was comfortable, bathroom amazing. The lobby was great, however the cocktails we ordered at the bar were revolting and the barman wasn't a happy chap... however the restaurant staff and chef were amazing and allowed our group of 5 to have an early dinner and were wonderful with our requests! Our meal was divine. Our friends used the swimming pool and gym, and the rest of us went for a lovely walk outside across the river thames and the emirates skycables (i think that's what it's called). Hotel is in a great location with lots to see outside. Staff were great and was really impressed by the quality of the hotel, rooms were quiet and WIFI access was great. Will definitely stay again and definitely recommend!!!! Loved the small extra touches like aromatherapy kit on the bed - the pillows were the best!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by balsawood101 A better alternative than Crowne Plaza shoreditch
An enjoyable stay at Docklands Crowne Plaza, having moved from the Crowne Plaza Shoreditch, due to no on site parking. The Docklands Crowne Plaza has plenty of parking at a reasonable 24hr rate. The receptionist was very friendly at check in, the room was of a good standard with a good view over the docks looking across to the O2. Not bad since we only confirmed our reservation about 45 minutes before arriving. The breakfast was good. It is well located with the DLR a 5 minute walk away and the Emirates Airline cablecar to the O2 outside the hotel.
Overall a nice place to stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SdMortimer Short Up Market London Stay
This hotel is excellent for those looking to explore London but also save money on accomodation while still in a very much up market hotel. We stayed for just one night and the staff made us feel very welcome, from check in, through to helping us plan our day exploring london. Althougth the location is just outside the hustle and bustle of London (and the price reflects this) it is very easy to get into the centre using the DLR and underground; or even as was pointed out to us by the reception staff the new Emirate Air+line (cable car). Back to the hotel, the room was spot less and the finishing or a high quality with the bed providing an excellent nights sleep. Finally the breakfast at the hotel restaurant provides a great start to the day with a wide selection including an full English Breakfast and again the staff are more than happy to help providing tea/coffee and anything else you may need.
All in all very pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to go back.
