The reason for choosing the hotel was it's proximity to the car hire pick up and we were more than satisfied with that. The check in process was speedy which was much appreciated after the long journey from the UK. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening although we weren't quite as impressed with the buffet breakfast - it might have been better to go for the a la carte breakfast options. The hotel was relatively quiet given its distance from the runways - although we could hear the planes we were able to get the good nights sleep we needed and did set off on our trip refreshed. The hotel was good value for money overall. Valet parking a bit on the expensive side but very efficient and helpful.

I visit this hotel frequently due to business travel. Their service is always commendable. The food is very good whether from the restaurant or pizza from the brick oven. The live entertainment on Thursday nights is very relaxing and enjoyable as well.
The service in the priority club that Toni provides surpasses any of the Crowne Plaza Hotels I've stayed in. The concierges are always available with good information and directions for city sites, shopping, entertainment or restaurants.

The room was great. We had an awful experience with the airport shuttle and driver. I called the hotel as soon as our plane landed. The receptionist said that the shuttles went to the airport every 15 minutes but that because of traffic it would probably take about 20 to 25 minutes. We Waited 50 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. We called 2 more times while the shuttles for all the other hotels came and went 3 to 4 times. There was no traffic. By this time it was 1:00AM Finally we went to get a cab. The. The shuttle showed up. As we got on with other upset guests one of them asked the Driver why she had to wait for an hour, he turned away without saying a word back to her. Rude and defiant! When we got to the hotel after we were checked in we saw the driver chatting away with the bell boy in stead of driving back to the airport to pick up more guests.

I stayed before at crowne plaza in Dorendo Beach. This time Check in was smooth. Picked up from airport with the hotel shuttle which is an added value. Room was very clean. Requested extra toiletries and got them immediately. Staff were very polite and accommodating. My be adding a fridge to room is really a great idea. Got my wake up call on time. I would like to recognize the Front Desk team and guest services (Adel).

Great room..made it very easy to get a good night sleep before our flight and then get to the airport easily in the morning. Also, took advantage of parking there! No problems at all. Got to and from LAX with ease.

This hotel was upgraded to a 4 stars rating due to their upgraded rooms with new furniture and flat screen TVs, etc...finally about time to stay current! Good job. I have came back twice since then and will continue to stay at this hotel if it continues to keep things updated. The parking garage is a bit crowed sharing spaces with 24 hour fitness members and airport parking plus their workers also park there. The spaces are mostly compact and tight but parking fee is less than any other 4 stars hotels so I settled. The Jazz Thursday nights are wonderful with fairly good bands.

Hotel is located mins away from the airport and most car rental places. Hotel offers shuttle bus service to the airport which is very good. Room was clean and hotel staff were amazing and very very helpful at all times.
There was only one complain about this hotel and that is that there is no free wifi. I am surprised, almost shocked, that in this day and age, free wifi is not offered at this hotel when most hotels offer this.
Other than that, amazing place to stay.

I understand being close to the airport that people check out at all hours, but I don't expect to be disturbed at 10:30 at night by the maid cleaning the checked out room and slamming the door to go back to her cart several times, and then vacuuming so late at night.
Other than that, a typical hotel experience.

Unfortunatly due to our age (70's) we do not carry a laptop and therefore any correspondence from our familiy we have to access public internet. In the case of Crowne Plaza (unlike other airport hotels) we had to pay to gain access. This was very unaccepable as we had to purchase "time" which in our case was not needed for such a short stay. Great Coffee though!

This was a fifth night in LA for us after quite a busy last 4 days. the hotel stay was great - shuttle service at LAX airport, pleasant staff behavior at check in, perfectly clean and spacious room, behavior of the service providers in the restaurant / coffee shop in the hotel, the quality of the room, quick checkout, bell desk services...
everything was smooth and perfect!
the stay was very relaxing for us and helped recover from the tiredness of the overall trip.
A strongly recomended place to stay at!

I stayed here on a recent trip out of LAX where I had to deal both with parking and an early morning departure. The hotel is close enough to the airport that you can easily walk to Terminal 1 and the bus runs frequently enough that you can gain access to the other terminals nearly as quickly.
The room was clean, everything worked, amenities were nice. The Hotel offered a "park and stay" package that addressed both my issues. With 8 days of "free" parking, the pricing would have made sense. Staying only two nights lessened the value a bit and I would have preferred a more flexible pricing.
The only real issue I faced was that the proximity to the airport did make the room a bit noisy. Even though my south west facing room was on an upper floor,and glazing appeared designed to mitigate sounds, the jet noise from repeated takeoffs made for a very noisy room late into the night. I don't know if the hotel layout has rooms facing east, but if so, I'd probably request that in the future.

We arrived by rental car and went to the garage. The elevator was broken and we had to walk downstairs with baggage. The girl at the front desk and evening manager immediately apologized and gave us tickets for two cocktails at the bar and comped our parking as we were going to eat and return the rental car prior to our next day's flight. The room was very comfortable and we had a good stay.

Everything was very good except for the house cleaning staff trying to get into my room at 12:30am - which woke me out of a dead sleep and then when they were delivering the bill at 3am, they were making so much noise that it woke me again. Unfortunately, when I went to take my shower, there was no hot water.
The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant downstairs was excellent and especially the live jazz band - wow.
Despite the negatives of having my sleep disturbed twice and no hot water - I would give Crowne Plaza a second chance.

I waited 1 hr. 1 min for pick up at LAX to the Hotel after I had called the Hotel. It only took 53 minutes to fly from SFO to LAX.
The Club Card Floor Room Key did not work in the elevator. When I went to the front desk, I was told that I must not have swiped it correctly or I should try another elevator.
As a Platinum and Ambassador member spending over 120 nights a year in hotels between IHG, Marriott, and Hiltons; I think I know how to swipe a card in the elevator.
The Front Desk person was simply rude and there is no possible reason to wait 1 hr 1 min for a shuttle to go maybe 1.5 miles from Terminal 7 to the Hotel

We stayed on the executive club floor. It was well worth the price. Clean room, nice club room, very good fitness room on the3rd floor. My only gripe, which was bothersome was trying to print my airline ticket. The kiosk i a stand up unit with no place to put paper work It was very UN-user friendly. A class hotel located by LAX, like this hotel, should make it MUCH easier to print airline boarding passes

Spent the first night of a two week Southern California holiday here.. Great property. We arrived early and got checked into our room ahead of schedule. The room was well appointed. The happy hour and free breakfast on the club floor were a nice benefit of being a Priority Club Gold member. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here the next time I come to LA.

With the recent upgrades to this facility, it has a fresh and up to date look. My room is always clean and the staff are always helpful and professional. Tim at the front desk is always a pleasure to deal with. He has checked me in on several occasions. Leonard is another staff member who has always been very courteous and works in the restaurant area.
The location is close to the airport and there is a shuttle that can have you to Manhattan Beach or local shopping areas in 15 minutes if you don't have your own transportation.

Be sure that you call the shuttle for pick up from airport, we waited for 30min before calling the hotel. The other hotels have shuttles, constantly comming to the stop for airport pickup.

Had a long flight and a 5 hour connection to the next flight so decided to overnight here and fly on the next day. Excellent choice. Hotel shuttle from LAX worked perfectly. Excellent hotel staff. I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza at LAX.

We had a night to stay in LA after a long flight , we choose the crown plaza and were very pleased. The room was excellent the showers were grate and the whole experience was very good. Would defiantly recommend it.
