Excellent and Quality Service

I determine a good hotel experience by how they handle out of the ordinary occurances. I had two during my say at the Crowne Plaza. They both were handled professionally, with the utmost in quality service. Thank you to the staff and management. I will be visiting again on my next stay in LA. I recommend Crowne Plaza to anyone visiting the LA area whether its for a day or week. Five Stars !!!!

Staff brilliant, no problems at all , Cynthia in the restaurant was ever so helpful, and so had a perfect meal. Great beer selection.
This was my choice to stop over here from Seoul en route to panama to get some zeds.... unfortunately the aircraft noise was excessive, so relay didn't get the rest intended.
Triple glazing is required, plus baffles for the air con.
Was my choice and should have guessed about the noise.
ear plugs were provided, but still was noisy.

More Empowered Front Desk Staff

I stay at this location every couple months.
On more than one occasion I have had problems checking in.

I use a travel agency and we have corporate pricing. The front desk staff never gets it right. I end up taking 20-30 minutes to figure it out. There seems to be no empowerment at the front desk level especially at nights when checking in and a bunch of well meaning "clerks" who are not empowered to fix anything and let people check in. Very frustrating for someone who has been on the road for 12 hours.

On the good side. Their café is great. Great sandwiches, great pizza, coffee, etc, and very reasonable given an LA Hotel food operation.

Also when you get to the management, they are very helpful and accommodating and promise to fix the problem. However, I have had no less than 4 problems with the front desk in the past 18 months.

If they fix that....it's a great place to stay!
