We use this property as an overflow for our primary when overnighting at SDF. I would like to see us make this our #1. I love the Staff at the lounge, food is always simply and terrific. Local flavours at the tap really make the stay unique.
My only issue is one largely industry wide and that is simply this... I find I need to avoid booking king beds anymore due to the fact that the mattresses have all gone south relative to where the TV and clock are located. The sloping is so pronounced (and it was for me even on the double beds I booked this go-round) that I felt as though I was sleeping on a hillside. This is one of those nagging issues that is often disguised by the fluffy and desirable thick bedding. Management needs to tour the rooms "hands-on", perhaps even "body-on" to better appreciate what I am referencing. Aside form that, the rooms were a tad dated, but quiet with good functioning HVAC.

I really love Crowne Plaza and I always look to see if there is one in the area we are visiting. We found the food in the restaurant to be really quite good. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room quite clean and orderly. Our dirty glasses were not removed and replaced, but that was just an inconvenience.
Two concerns we had were in the fitness room. Out of the 3 treadmills, only 1 was operating properly which defeated our working out together. Also, the TV's in that room were on but we couldn't control the stations or the volume. This was really frustrating. Watching something one enjoys and is able to hear makes the workout go much more quickly. When we reported this to the front desk, we were told they knew about the remotes. I know most folks bring their own headsets, etc. but we were only gone from home for about 48 hours and tried to pack minimally.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by huggins88 Great Location for the Expo Center!
The check in process was super fast, efficient and friendly. We received an upgrade in our room, without even asking. The Expo Center is within walking distance, even for a 50 year old! LOL The room was very nicely decorated. I especially liked the window treaments. The bed was so comfortable. We had a TV in the living room and one in the bedroom. The food in the restaurant was a bit pricey so we did not ever eat there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happytraveler11 Comfortable bed and spacious, clean room.
We had the King Bed Suite and it was wonderful. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the furniture was modern. I would recommend this hotel for families. It is right next to the Exposition Center and convenient to many restaurants and activities.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cpayne Nice facility Staff Not so much
Excellent facility and very convenient for the event we were attending. Front desk staff however was not what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Upon check in they tried to charge us $45 more than what we were quoted at time of reservations and also promised us a $20.00 breakfast coupon that ended up being a $10 meal voucher even though it said $13 on the voucher. After arguing with front desk they agreed to room charge that we were originally quoted. We will be attending an annual event in this area for the next several years but probably wont be staying there again.

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Louisville. Friendly staff and nice rooms.

when I booked the room I was told it included a complimentary breakfast. At the price, that seemed reasonable. When we went to the lobby we were told there was no such thing. No one checked a computer or seemed interested. When we went to the restaurant and inquired, we were met with a negative response and a shrug. Again, no interest or checking. Rather disappointing.
The group we were with had planned a pizza party by the pool at the end of the childrens' competition. I do not know first hand, but the coach says he cleared it with front desk.
When pizza arrived, the pool lifeguard said no food allowed by the pool #although it was not on any sign# and held fast, even after checking with the front desk. It was raining; she said we could sit on the outer deck, in the rain. Really? Finally they gave us a room for the pizza distribution and the kids sat on the floor in the hall outside the lobby to eat their pizza, with nicely dressed people coming through for an event stepping around them. Did not seem to be a "good" solution.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Archery12 Don't stay in room 206
Very disappointed with our stay. I booked in advance a room with 2 queen beds. Upon check in I was told they don't quarantee the room type so we had to take a room with a King bed and a sofa bed, sofa beds are never comfortable. Room 206 is has an ice machine on the other side of the wall and we heard it making/dropping ice all night long. Also there must be a drain pipe in the wall so we heard water draining all night long, we were exhaused the next day due to lack of sleep and my son had to compete in a tournament. The room had ants in it,the ants were crawling all over the sofa bed and the bedspread on the King bed. Again very disappointing after our great experience last year when we stayed at the Crowne Plaza at Univeral Studios in FL. Room 206 should be turned into a broom closet.
