We had a terrible experience!
Couldn't get a meal for the kids at either restaurant, so went back to the villa and ordered Room Service.
The food that turned up was disgusting... the kids would't touch it and we all went to bed hungry
So many posters around saying "we listened and have invested in change", hate to think what it was like before

I attended a conference at the Crown Plaza, Hunter Valley and shared a 3 bedroom villa with 4 other colleagues. The villa over looked the golf course and we found it very tranquil and relaxing while sitting outside sipping of champagne. The villa was very clean and roomy and catered to our needs.
The conference area was fantastic and meals supplied outstanding.
Thank you for a very enjoyable short stay and I would definately recommend the Crown Plaza, Hunter Valley to all my friends and colleagues.

I felt the Facilities at the Crowne Plaza in Hunter Valley were really good for both Adults and Children. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Villa which was perfectly fitted out with everything we needed and an option of room service. There were however a few things that could have been better, such as dinner costs in the main dinning area and service was slow eg. we ordered our desert but left before it even arrived. Upon explaining to reception they very thoughtfully, offered to have it sent to our room, which I would give 5 stars. The customer service and staff were always very helpful no matter what their position which was a breath of fresh air! Unfortunately, I was not able to get much done in the amazing Beauty & Spa located on the premises due to non extended opening hours and popularity.... however, the Swedish massage I received was amazing! Crowne Plaza 8/10.

My husband & I and 4 year old son stayed in a room with 2 double beds deluxe with Balcony. We highly recommend it, perfect for a 2 day stay including buffet breakfast. The room had all the requirements. The bathroom had a shower and bath tub. The service was great, the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, we ate in the restaurant and had room service another night. My husband was very impressed. Thankyou to the Crowne staff it was a memorable stay.

My family had a wonderful time at the Crowne Plaza at the Hunter Valley. Plenty of facilities to occupy any age of children. Very peaceful and relaxing. Rooms were as always neat and clean.
Staff supplied excellent service. Great location as the wineries, Chocolate factory, Cheese store and other attractions are all around us.
We will continually be holidaying at the Crowne Plaza at the Hunter Valley.

We enjoyed our two days, clean and comfortable with a good outlook from the common areas, restaurant was a bit pricy for what was on offer ( I am not a fan of paying for sides as an extra) however the cafe served good food and was a nice casual place to eat. We will stay again and I would recommend to friends.

Unfortunately my 2 year old was sick during our stay at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. I must commend the housekeeping staff because they assisted us with towels, linen and cleaning up every time my child was ill. They were prompt, very helpful and exceptionally understanding about the situation. Jackie who ran the kids train was also lovely...taking us on an amazing tour of the complex. So much to do, so little time.....definitely looking forward to going back soon!

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We stayed in two x 2 bedroom villas, they were clean, modern and very spacious. The beds were very very comfy.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We will return.

Two and three bedroom villas were great accommodation for families or groups ,plenty of space and easy access to the main hotel and its facilities. We would definitely stay here again as it was excellent value .

This was a very disappointing stay and made the special occasion of a weekend quite unpleasant!
At first while organising our large group booking for 20 girls seemed to be trouble free with a specific person who can remain unnamed we booked villas and organised our weekend and we were all very excited and people we travelling many hours and people were flying from other states. However when we got to reception it was discovered that the villas that we had book on the advice from the person at reception were quite a distance away from each other and we not told of this we assume it would be next to each other as we had not been told otherwise. This special event brought people that didn't know each other and it was quite uncomfortable sending them to villa over the other side of the resort grounds .Whilst trying to rectify this on arrival they told us it was not far at all however when we got to the villas it was a great distance and reception was phone and both ladies that I spoke to were rude and abrupt and I was more then disgusted with the lack of help for a large group booking that was paying for 20 people to stay in their hotel for 2 nights on weekend rates!!!in the morning when we went to cancel a villa as it was not practical to have people staying over there another person was approached at reception and was even more rude then the day before and with request for a trundle bed to be put in a room and to have it done as a courtesy due to all the in-convince there was a rude remark given !! To make matters worse i personally slept on the trundle (well tried!!) as one side of the bed was broken and I was sleeping on a slant the whole night!!!!
Also on arrival I was told that with the large amount of money spent that's was able to join the IHG rewards group and on check out I was not joined up as I felt like it took to long and was very annoyed as we spent a large amount of money at this crown plaza and felt like it was all a hassle !
It's was a very unsatisfactory stay at the crown due to the service and is very disappointing as we have all had very pleasant stays at others and this is very upsetting as this occasion was special and i feel our weekend was was very much ruined by it

Even though this place is not what you might consider for a cosy Hunter Valley stay, it had lovely rooms, a great bar and decent food. The room was good value when I compared to other places at booking. The concierge service was very attentive to our needs and helped organise a wine tour easily. Only downside is lack of free wifi, which is standard in many other hotels these days.

I was very disappointed with the service in the restaurant during breakfast. I waited 25 minutes for my egg benedict and other people ordering after me got their food before me. The waiter actually apologised for the presentation of the egg benedict. The eggs were just slapped on the plate with a little sauce . At dinner that evening we were seated under a very bright light, I requested another table since there were quite a lot of tables availible and I was told people reserved them already. I did not feel like a privileged card holder but rather that we were given the raw end of the deal.

Four of us stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. All villas are located on the golf course so have lovely outlook. They are modern, clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are a good size. Two items missing were a dishwasher and CD player/radio for those who wish to hear music rather than watch TV.

I stayed for a few nights during the school holidays with my young daughter to visit Snow in the Gardens at Hunter Valley Gardens (which was magical for my daughter and fun for me). Our room provided everything that I love about hotels - clean, new, comfortable, luxurious but relaxed. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the kids meal was healthier and much better than most. My daughter really enjoyed the kids club and the spa pool, and we were able to hang out with friends who stayed in one of the villas. A staff member at the kids club went out of her way in order to accommodate our evening babysitting needs. She seemed genuinely concerned that we have a good time on holiday. We were very grateful. I am looking forward to coming back.

We have had breakfast at Red Salt on many occasions over the last few years but our last experience was more than disappointing. We were told there would be a 10 - 15 minute wait to be seated - it was in fact closer to 30 minutes. Coffee took an eternity to arrive as did egg orders. Quality of food was poor and service appalling. Value for money extremely poor. If you are looking for a top quality breakfast, with excellent service and value for money avoid Red Salt!

A great place to stay. One improvement would be some undercover parking.

After a long drawn out drive, I was made to feel comfortable from the very second I arrived at the resort. The reception desk were very helpful, as well as the concierge, both couldn't have been more helpful. All the staff throughout the resort were fantastic. The staff in the dining areas did wonderful job of looking after my evey needs. My room(359) was great and the service was too. Special mention to Kim and Cindy who were terrific in servicing my room and did so in the most proffesional way, which made my stay even more enjoyable, they are a credit to the resort and to themselves. It was an absolute pleasure staying at your resort and would highly recommend your resort to anyone.

The Hunter Valley Crown Plaza made the Country Comfort in Cessnock look like look like a luxury 5 star retreat.
When I arrived it was pouring with rain and accessing reception from the carpark was almost impossible. All the stairs from the carpark up to the entrance are uneven and as a result of the weather filled with pools of water. The floor in he bathroom of my apartment was uneven and when I showered all the water ran straight out onto the bathroom floor.
The food was undoubtedly the worst dining experinece I've ever encountered. The food at dinner was dull and lacked inspiration and creativity. The beef at lunch which was served cold look lovely when it came to the table but the taste left much to be desired. Infact I'm confident that the slices of roast beef were covered with bottled BBQ sauce from Woolworths.
It was disappointing when at the end of the night we had to plee with staff to re-open the bar. It was approximately 10:30 - 11:00pm and almost 25 conference people wanting to have another drink. I couldn't believe the staff's initial refusal to re-open the bar. Apart from this the staff were lovely and in my opinion were doing a fantastic job most of the time.
I wouldn't ever recommend this place, especially given some of the other fantastic experineces I've had at other resorts in the Hunter Valley.

Comfy bed, very relaxing massage & delicious food, this in itself is 5 stars.
The only letdown however minor, was the staff in the restaurant were very slow at responding to patrons, and for ourselves and the table next to us at the time, we felt almost ignored at times.
Would still recommend it to everyone, definitely worth another trip there in the future.

Stayed in a 3 bed villa in the north wing and it was perfect for 3 couples. The king bed I had upstairs was super comfortable.
Had a great stay! Very modern and clean with beautiful grounds. Great value for money.

We spent two nights in one of the two bedroom villas and found our stay to be very pleasant and comfortable. Our son was married in the vineyards and nearly all the wedding quests stayed for this event at the Crown Plaza and enjoyed their stay. The only downside was the main bathroom was a little hard to cope with as it was for disabled quests and that is what it should be for, but for the everyday quests it became a burden as the water covered the floor and found it hard to dry and dress after a shower. Perhaps a glass screen or change the drainage in the floor. Apart from that their was no problems. If we are staying anywhere in the vineyards in the future, we will definitely stay here.

My wife and 2 young kids had a very pleasant stay. Mainly due to the spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort of the bed. The heaters worked well and was easy to use. The atmosphere was relaxing since it was with a golf course. Many greenery around. Only thing that was lacking was free wifi services. The business centre had internet. But the browser was outdated and too slow for a seemingly exclusive and if i may say, luxurious hotel.
Nevertheless, we are looking forward to our next chance at visiting Hunter Valley and I will definitely stay here again.

This was my third time staying at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. It's been a great place to stay, relax and easiest access to surrounding wineries. What's more impressive is level of service that I've been receiving at all three time. Great people there!!!

Stayed on the last night of the QB weekend and got a good rate incl breakfast. Asked for a balcony room overlooking the pool and was very happy to have my request met. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Great buffet breakfast in the morning with staff doing a great job by always checking if more coffees were required. My wife and I also used the Tee Tree Spa for a hot stone massage. Very relaxing and again attentive staff. Hope to back there soon.

Enjoyed the accommodation and all the food options - which were all beautifully cooked, service was heat without being intrusive. Great location being close to wineries, activities and restaurants. Only prob was a smell in the room, took a while to figure out must have been spilt milk but that was the only thing we could find to fault. Would recommend and return :)
