Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by UPS AND DOWNS >My stay was generally satisfactory. >As usual,the Friday Brunch was excellent. >The snacks for the mini bar were not replenished.The official reply was that they were out of stock.How bizarre is that? >In spite of the alleged green policy,apparently,the room boys were not informed.On the first day,all towels were changed although I had followed the instructions and hung them carefully on the towel rails. >On the first night,there were foam filled pillows.I asked for them to be replaced.What happened to the comfortable pillow policy? Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tentative Recommendation This is a tired hotel that is in need of a refurbishing. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and seem to go the extra mile to help out and to make one's stay pleasant. However, the rooms seem to be circa-1970's and are not the most comfortable. Additionally, the pool area is very bland and the Club Lounge is downright terrible - DO NOT waste your money for a Club Room as the amenities as poor. The restaurants are very good and the food is top-notch. The pub is lively and the Friday brunch is something to see - a great time. All-in-all, I would give a tentative recommendation for this hotel; however, if Crowne Plaza continues to neglect the required upkeep, this hotel will slip into an average 3 star rather than an IHG expected 5 star.
