Stayed for 1 night with 8 days parking and got a great deal. Ate in the Chinese restaurant, food was amazing but service a bit slow this time. Efficient check in and check out. Quick pick up from airport to collect car. Would definitely use again.

My husband and I stayed at the Crown Plaza Manchester Airport the night before flying to Lanzarote, and on the return night as we had a late flight back, leaving our car with them.
We stayed in one of the Executive Rooms, and enjoyed a ralaxing evening, with a good nights sleep before our flight.
We asked for a quiet room for the night we returned, and had a good nights sleep, with full english breakfast before making our way home.
The staff at the Crown Plaza are excellent, efficiant and very professional.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza because of the snow. We had a flight to Atlanta on Friday morning 18th January and could not guarantee that a taxi would get us to the airport because the weather forecast was predicting snow in the early hours.
We arrived by train and we were able to call from the station using the freephone for the shuttle to collect us.
Check in was done in a swift and pleasant manner. The room was comfortable and met our needs.

We choose to stay at the crown plaza as we had stayed the year before and found it very nice.It was a little dissapointing this year as we had chosen a club room and was expecting a much bigger and nicer room but was dissapointed the room was a little tierd and the bathroom was small and in need of an upgrade.We only had a standard room last year and wish we had chosen one this time as it was much nicer.We choose the crown plaza because of its closeness to manchester airport and the free shuttle which is great but as the room was a little dissapointing maybe we will look around next time.I did mention to reception about the bathroom having chips on the bath and that the room was a little grubby but the answer was, I am very sorry madame about that. Maybe I should have said something when we arrived but having just travelled a long way I just wanted to rest. The level of noise was quite high as well but not sure what they can do about that maybe better sound proofing on the windows.I would like to stay again and give it another go but not in a club room.

It's a great hotel, fairly priced and walkable to the terminal, although a free shuttle is great on those rare occasions in England when it rains...
That said, it is inconceivable in 2013 that a business traveller in Western Europe cannot expect free wi-fi in the room. This 'luxury' is standard in zero-star hotels in deepest Africa or Asia! Sooner or later you'll realize this - although your competitors might do so first.

We cannot fault anything We left our car on the day we flew out of Manchester. Just checked in & Left our keys and were transported to the terminal. When we arrived back which was early hours of morning we just rang the hotel from the courtesy phone and we were picked up and taken to the hotel within minutes. The girl on reception gave us our key and we were straight to our room. The room was really welcoming and the bed so comfortable. Everything was as we would have wished. This wasn't our first time as we had stayed there previously on a reccomendation. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so good

Overall, the room was very comfortable and great service, especially from the shuttle drivers. We were staying for an early flight, and the shuttle was extremely prompt and got us back and forth from the airport very easily.
The restaurant was pretty decent, a bit overpriced but I didn't see many other options for food, unfortunately. We tried out the "Best of British" menu. The pizza was quite good.
My sole complaint, would be having to pay for wireless! It wasn't super pricey, but enough that I would consider a different hotel next time...

I stayed in a club room for 5 nights and found it comfortable and clean. I was on the side of the building facing the airport which was quite noisy during the day but no problem at night. Staff in the club lounge were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection which should suit most tastes. The cooked breakfast section had a good selection. The bar area was a little bland and impersonal. The staff in general were friendly and housekeeping were up to scratch. Some of the common areas need re-carpeting as they look a bit drab and worn. Very convenient for airport and will use again when I'm in the area.

,courtesy bus arrived with in 5 mins of calling .
check in was done very quickly ,
had a drink and sandwich at the bar nothing was too much trouble for staff ,
had breakfast before leaving food was hot fresh and the choice .no one would go hungry

Fantanstic value for money...we booked Bed, breakfast and dinner with 2 wks carparking, staying Christmas Day, family of four. The service was excellent, the shuttle bus very convenient and we really didn't expect too much from the dinner but it was fabulous!! Bargain package price :) Well done Crowne Plaza, we will be staying with you again!!

As per usual, this Hotel, along with the facilities and staff, were more than suffice for my needs. The rooms are clean and spacious, catering abd bar facilities are varied and more than you can choose from, staff are always excellent and helpful.
Highly recommended for anyone arriving or leaving from the airport for a stopover.

I stayed on the 2nd January for my early morning flight. I wish I had not done so. I rarely right anything non complimentary as I appreciate there is usually an opportunity to speak to someone. On this occasion I did not have that chance. Check in was relatively slow at around 1600 hrs with only 2 staff at reception. I was handed a key card which stated a quiet location with aromatherapy to help you sleep which I did not receive. I never slept as I was in room 203 straight outside the main lift with people talking each time the lift door opened and either the room or fire doors would make a loud shuddering noise. I was tempted to change rooms but thought it might quieten down. It did not. Too late to change rooms as I had prepared everything for the morning. In addition I ate in the main bar area. I asked 3 times to 3 different staff before I received water. The food was expensive around £14 for a crab salad which was mostly lettuce leaves with a sprinkling of crab meat on top.When I asked for the bill I was told I had to go to the computer at the bar, where I waited until I was eventually handed my bill. Not for me in future and I would rather pay extra ans stay elsewhere next time even though I am a platinum member with this hotel group.

room was dirty and needs changing.Charge for internet is very high.
Last two hotels on this trip no charge for internet.Heat in bedroom did not work but a oil heater was brought to the room--was ok..
liked the price so may stay again on next trip from USA..

We wrongly booked smoking rooms, and on entering could not bear the smell (our mistake) - the reception staff were able to shift our rooms with no hassle and were exceptionally helpful.
Fantastic value for money considering the facilities in the rooms that are available.
Dinner in the restaurant was also of fantastic quality.
Highly recommended!!

We stayed the night before our flight and also following our return flight. Both stays were brilliant. Comfortable room and beds, good food and a super ambiance for hotel lounge/bar areas. The service was good from reception with efficient and friendly check in and out, restaurant and bars too were of the same high standard. The hotel was busy but the staff were absolutely charming!
Minor issue was queuing for shuttle bus to the airport in the morning - about 15 minutes. We were picked up swiftly on our return though. Our car was ready and waiting for us too.
If you're flying from Manchester, this is the hotel to choose!

We were catching an early flight, so needed something to eat and a few hours sleep. The meal in the Malaysian restaurant was lovely and the service was excellent - I would be prepared to drive to Manchester airport just to eat there again. It was a long walk to our room from the lift, but that didn't really matter. The room was clean, reasonably large compared with other similar hotels, and offered tea/coffee making facilities as well as other extras. The hotel sent up toothbrushes on request since we live in two countries and had forgotten about the one night away from home. But the main positive surprise was how quiet the hotel was away from the main area. Having stayed in other airport hotels, I expected to be disturbed by airplane noise and other guests coming and going, but not here - excellent! The hotel courtesy bus also helped to make our arrival (from the train station) and departure (T1) smooth and trouble free.

This hotel is ideally located and the facilities were ok. However, having now done this, I wouldn't actually do this again. The issue is their shuttle bus facility and I didn't like the idea that persons unknown take your car on a 25mile round trip to a secure carpark somewhere! I would stay in a hotel away from the airport and take your own car to a car park location.
The hotel only have two 8 seater minibuses to take guests to the terminal so you could be in the queue for a while and if you have an elderly relative with you, the hotel can provide a mobile step to help get you on the bus which really is not ideal. On the way back they forgot to provide the step so we ended up having to lift an elderly relative onto the bus. So as long as your elderly relative can stand for up to 16minutes in a queue you will be fine.
There was quite a bit of pushing and shoving with people getting a little angry which is not a great start to your holiday.

Thank you to all the lovely staff at the CArown Plazza, from the reception to the bar and resturant.
I stayed in room 435 the room was lovely and big the bed was a kingsize, with lovely furniture.
I arrived back from Canada at 6.00am so was really tried I booked in with out any fuss had a good sleep then went down for a lovely meal in the resturant.
The breakfast was really good with pleanty to choose from.
I have used this hotel before flying out to my vacations and leave the car there as well. It is cheaper to leave the car and stay over than it is to book a car park and take early morning flights.

Very good customer service. Called the hotel to enquire about breakfast and was offered a discounted deal which I did not know about. Although price was relatively high, however the buffet breakfast was very good which a selection of hot and cold food. Although collection from the airport and return to airport on the next day included a short wait, however it was efficient for our needs.
Recommend this hotel to anyone.
