This was our first stay in a Crowne Plaza. We parked the car at the airport and were on the free shuttle to the hotel within 10 minutes.The driver was polite and courteous. We were dealt with quickly and professionally. The room was clean and spacious. We ate in the restaurant for dinner (very nice fish n chips and sausage n mash). We ordered our evening meal via room service, this arrived promptly and was as enjoyable as our dinner. We both had a good nights sleep and the wake up call arrived at 04.15 as requested. Unfortunately we didnt have time to try the breakfast. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff should be very proud of themselves. Thank You.

Having stayed on the 20th Nov. in an excellent room we had also prebooked to stay the night of our return 28th Nov. We were allocated room 306 a cramped overfurnished room that was probably designed for single occupancy. There was no room to put luggage other than the dressing table or circular table, the purpose made rack in wardrobe there was insuffient space to use it. Although the bed itself was comfortable access to get into it was very restrictive, approximately 200mm between table and bed, as a registered disabled person I found it very difficult but as we arrived very late there was little we could do about the situation. NEVER AGAIN!! Reception although sympathetic to the room standards were unable/unwilling to offer any help
Apart from the above breakfast was as expected for the charges

Check in was poor and I did not see any recognition as a platinum member. All I was greeted with was have you stayed before and if you have a car that will be £12.50 . No asking f you would like a table reservation or breakfeast, so as far as I am concerned you have undersold yourselves and did not do much to inspire me.

We left our car at the hotel for 13 nights whilst abroad on holiday. The package included parking, transfers to and from the airport, double room, bottle of wine, and breakfast.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was well equipped and comfortable and the choice of breakfast items was excellent.
We stay every time we go abroad.

I stayed here prior to going on a cruise from southampton and also on my return.
I found the room clean and comfortable.The little extras provided showed that the Hotel was thinking about the customer.
The staff were more than helpful both at reception and in the restaurant.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wqnting a relaxing start to a holiday

Stopped night before flying, booked BB, dinner and parking for 15 nights. On arrival at hotel checking was quick and easy with friendly staff, had option to hand car key over or keep until following day if we needed to use car for any reason. Room was large for our family of 4, with large bathroom, tea & coffee facilities, tv and a fridge to keep some beers in that we took. Bars and restaurants had a relaxing feel, we had 3 course per booked and I must say. it was the nicest 3 course I have ever had. Kids had 2 course and finished the lot. Breakfast was full English all you can eat and started from 4.30 so worked well as we had an early flight. After breakfast we checked out and jumped straight onto the hotel transfer bus to terminal 1 which only took 2 min. Overall a great way to start our holiday.

First time in this hotel, late booking, but very suprised to the standard in all aspects, cost, service, room, amenities, transport pick-up. Most noticable was the lack of noise in the rooms as is normally the case for airport overnight stay hotels.
Overall very impressed, will be back again

My partner and i stayed in this hotel the night before our holiday, we recieved a great deal for bed, continental breakfast and 8 days parking.
Checkin was quick and easy, we left our car keys at reception as it was to be removed to an offsite carpark. We had been shopping in Manchester earlier that day and didn't want to leave these items in the car for a week, the hotel offers a holding service which allows you to leave belongings in a secure room free of charge.
Room was nice and well equipt and we took advtange of the wake-up call service as we had an early flight. We only had to wait 5 minutes for the complimentary shuttle bus to the terminal.
The only problem was when we returned, we went to the Crowne Plaza pick up point and called the number but it went to an answering machine saying please hold and then the line went dead. We waited 10 minutes and then ended up walking over to the hotel as it is walking distance, and the bus passed us on our way. I think this service can be improved as i wasn't aware if by calling the number it would automatically send a bus or i would need to speak to someone to request it.
On our return, we picked the keys up from reception and my car was waiting on the onsite carpark.
Overall the experience was very efficient and i would recommend satying with Crowne Plaza hotel.

I usualy go for Holiday Inn, as u get great service and reasonable services. HI was not available so thought I would try CP, not nearly so good. Honestly in this day and age I expect free wifi wherever I stay. neither offer it as standard.
We ordered room service at CP and it took ages, food was good but the Late was cold by the time it arrived.
We ended up with two single beds but the duvet were not big enought.
Stafff were very courtleous.
Overall stick with Holiday Inn is my advice.

excellent value for a club room package, plenty of choice of drinks, snacks ok, would be better with a little bit more, when the lounge is full not much to go around, especially as my wife is vegetarian, if all the vegitarian go quickly nothing left for her

The room was excellent; two large beds with great in-room facilities.
The staff were very good.
We opted for the room plus parking for the week which was excellent value and would certainly book the same package next time we fly from Manchester.
One minor disappointment was not being able to take advantage of the 3-course menu offer as the restaurant was fully booked until later, however the bar menu was fine.

I still can't understand that when the internet is such a ubiquitous tool that hotels such as the Crowne Plaza still charges 15 pounds ($23 US) per day for its guests to use it. They keep the poor argument going that "its a third party price'....I am sorry, that just doesn't wash anymore. Charge 5 pounds more per day for everyone and proclaim free wi fi like your competitor next door..
Also, seems as though the non reception employees need better customer service training. Poorly informed. The none customer facing reception helpers also appeared to have a less than "what else can I do for you" attitude...a little surly.
I wanted to utilise the (24 hour)room service at 1.00am and it appeared as though it was an issue with it... Food arrived...but after I called there was another phone message to say it would be delayed due to staff issues...what ? I don't care.....

Stayed for one night, my wife me and parents, were going into Manchester the following day and chose the Plaza rather than a hotel in the City. Stayed club exec as usual, meal in Sampans was fantastic after a spell in the club lounge.
We always try to stay Plaza wnenever we go away, nowhere else compares, one small thing however, i was given a 1 hour complimentary wi fi access and found it had been added to my bill.
That aside, usual exceptional standards.

This was an emergency overnight stay in a family room (double bed and pull out sofa-bed). The room was fine but the air-con was set at '0' when we arrived and the room was stone cold - perhaps a ploy to get us to the bar and restaurant!
For the cost of the room, which excluding breakfast, we were surprised that WiFi had to be paid for and is very expensive (in Lanzarote, where we had just spent 2 weeks, this was freely available all over the island). The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had stayed here before when the health club had a pool and spa - part of why we went again but these are no longer there apart from the health club itself.
The room was clean and full of things like drink making facilities/soaps etc and sofa-bed put up for us beforehand. The sleep aid spray seemed to work - so much so we brought it home!
The airport is so close but not intrusive making this an ideal hotel for traveller's. The courtesy bus driver was extremely helpful and friendly

Stayed over for 1 night in a family room, the room was quite small not much room to move about, the food at the bar was nt very nice, we ordered food for our 4 yr old pasta without cheese not hard to get it right, and no cheese on the garlic bread,again not hard it came with cheese, sent it back waited 15 mins for a new meal, it wasn't even busy. The pasta with tomato sauce, well that had tomato soup instead of a Napoli sauce absolutely foul!!.the staff stood around talking a lot, not paying much attention to the customers. The only thing that was nice was the sandwiches we ordered from room service because we were starving, and the guy who delivered them was very pleasant.
Was disappointed in the hotel and expected more from the crown plaza and I don't think we will use again.

Stopped at the Crowne Plaza on outward and inbound flights for a holiday.
Sampans - absolutely lovely food and terrific staff. Gave a very long day a great finish.
Return flight was late but gentleman still dug out an extension lead at 01.00 hours so I could use my Sleep Apnoea machine. Brilliant service - thank you.

Our stay was ideal preparation for our holiday in Switzerland. The hotel was very well situated, the shuttle service to and from the airport was high quality, the parking was secure and reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helful and the room was excellent. I would have no hesitation about staying here again.

Excellent hotel, and concierge lounge. Room very relaxing, with extremely comfortable bed. Had a problem with telephone service in placing outside calls from my room, but this was quickly resolved. All staff very friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very comfortable and our room very quiet. Our alarm call came on time and the express checkout system was most useful. We were very impressed by the flight/ parking system which we thought was excellent value for money. When we returned from warm weather and came back to cold and rain at night we were delighted to find that we only had time, after calling the freephone service, to walk to the pick up point 30 yards away and the bus was waiting for us. We were back at the hotel with our car ready for us, in a few minutes.Particular praise goes to the lovely bus driver who handled our baggage and was so cheerful and helpful.Hotel staff were also impressive for their attitude and knowledge.
