Purposely moved from another hotel in Tyson Square to have a more comfortable stay from IHG hotel Group. Was not impressed and highly disapointed with hotel overall, from the design of the hotel where you have to walk to lift a very long way to the guest lifts, room with white lights which is not welcoming at all. No warmth and relax.... to be out of the hotel early on Saturday check and try another competitor which was much more welcoming.
Going to the room u have to passed this noisy bar...untidy and waiters and bartenders who was not attentive. tables are full of bottles and empty glasse sand the ash tray on the table is full of cigaratte buts . Till I left, after my drinks, tables still not cleared and cleaned. and so disgusting to look at even though I am a smoker.... Even in most of the bar I go, I remember the waiter and waitresses
Compared to the Hamilton Crown Plaza which I stayed on Monday 9 Dec 2014, the service difference were like like heaven and earth... even though both were Crown Plaza.... Staff here were less attentive and at one time I did considered there are so attentive, polite and continue to clean tables that had been left by customer. No bell boy to assist with luggage, everything has to be done your self like No frills hotel and not 5 Star ( or may be 3 star???? or less).
Anyway... Thats how I feel... I expect a lot more From Crown Plaza Tyson because of the Crown Plaza Brand, like how Crown Plaza the Hamilton took care of their staff. Even as Ambassador Member, I was refused of late check out at 4pm (being denied of a promised benefits) hence you know you no longer welcome, made me decided to be back at a competitor hotel who appreciate you more....

Always a pleasure to stay..just wish could get a lower rate.
Amber and Abraham at front desk were so helpful and greeted us so well on Thanksgiving.
Breakfast great.... Scrambled eggs with cheese, green pepper the best this time! Sausage is the best anywhere. Staff very kind.

Our first day/night at your hotel we had ladies at the desk who were great. They knew information about Tysons Corner Center and when we had a problem with the bathroom they were able to get someone to us immediately. We enjoyed their friendliness and outgoing personality and professionalism.
The second night interestingly we had all guys at the desk. They were also friendly, outgoing and professional.
My one disappointment with the stay is that breakfast was not enjoyable. My husband was given coffee that wasn't hot. Not taking my husbands word for it the waiter opened the carafe which did have some steam coming out and my husband explained that no matter if the carafe was hot, the coffee was not hot. He did finally bring another one. I ordered just a plain ham and cheese omelet and I got a western omelet and I don't like onions nor peppers in my omelets. My husband had ordered eggs Benedict so we traded breakfasts and it was okay. My son had the buffet and he said the waffle he was eating was pretty cold and then they had cold syrup to add to it. Not quite enjoyable. The waiter was not friendly and not only to us. Think he got up on the wrong side of the bed.
I had changed our reservation before I arrived to include breakfast for the three of us on the second day, but I asked to have that changed after our experience the first day, but no one would change it. I certainly didn't want to go back. The three of us ate on Friday and it wasn't cheap to be treated poorly. I wonder why they couldn't reduce our rate to remove the inclusion of breakfast. Maybe someone can tell me.'
Other than that, our stay was wonderful and it wouldn't stop us from coming back or recommending the hotel to others, but I would not recommend them eating breakfast at the hotel.
