Spent a weekend at the hotel. The bathroom was tiny. My room had a King size bed and a couch and was still roomy. Odd use of space since I had a hall inside my room. I am guessing it was because I had a corner room. The sheet on the bed was less than paper thin. They had a nicer one on the top of the bed spread so I just flipped the sheets over for more comfortable sleep.

We booked this room because it was close to our home and we just needed a hotel room forour wedding night. The room was very nice and clean, I actually wish we had more time to stay. I will definately use this hotel when my husband and I need a quick get away.

The hotel is ok, just ok. I had a few issues with my full experience here starting with the front desk staff, not very friendly. Then the bed pillows (on a king) were all a tiny one foot square in size and were so old, you could tell they have been washed several times. Had there been decent pillows, it would have made up for the old mattress, you could feel the springs inside. Being a business traveler, you want a quiet / dark room, well mine was anything but! They have these spotlights that face the sign and the building... Which in turn face a certain section of guest rooms... And I am talking about HUGE flood lights, so even with the black out curtains, it was as if I was sleeping with my table lamp on, needless to say the first night was very rough! I then addressed this with the GM, I mentioned how I have stayed in numerous hotels in downtown locales that had the same type of lights and they simply dimmed them and /or turned them off after 10pm, which thankfully, that did happen on night 2 and I was finally able to sleep. The restaurant /room service food is truly hit or miss... Truly. The first night I had a gal that took my order, and I came to find out that she also put together the tray for delivery as well as the dinner salad, etc. she did a great job! Plus my steak was great, and she included all the tray necessities, ie:, pepper/salt, a knife to cut my steak, a dinner roll, etc. very nice presentation... Well that all changed on night two's dinner, it was a guy that took my order, who quite honestly you could tell he did not know exactly what he was doing, yelling out to someone in the background to ask the cook a question, which was very loud over the phone, he wasn't sure of this wasn't sure of that... Then when he brought my meal, I even mentioned that the dinner salad looked a whole lot different from the one I had ordered the night before and his response was " yeah, I'm not very creative"... Wow, really?!? It just got worse from there, old lettuce and onion in the salad... No knife to cut my chicken, which was burnt on one side, of course the side that was facing the plate. No salt / pepper shaker, no dinner roll, exactly ZERO care went into putting that tray or my dinner order together... It was ridiculous, it certainly wasn't representation of ANY Crowne Plaza I have stayed at in ALL my years of business travel! I was highly disappointed to say the least! And one last thing, your guest room doors slam SO HARD that its quite disturbing to the other guests, day or night, doesn't matter, no door in a hotel should close that loudly.
FYI: I never write reviews, but this Crowne Plaza needs some serious training and they also need some consistency in their food prep and presentation, it's quite sad.

What could be better than on your farewell business trip you stay at the finest Crowne Plaza you could ask for? I want to thank the staff of your hotel for doing just that. It's hard to express how wonderful it was to enjoy the accomodation and the friendliness of the staff from the cleaning ladies to the front desk to the resturant and bar staff. I am at total awe over what happened. Although I am a Gold member, I still have occassion to stay at other hotels due to conferences and meetings which are scheduled with the hotel at the center of it all. Nothing can compare with what I experienced in Minneapolis. It was a GREAT experience.

I loved staying in the woman's wing. I felt very secure when traveling alone, and I loved the extra ammenities provided in this special area. Great location just off the main routes, easy to get to appointments. Delicious breakfast choices!
