Only parking is in a public ramp. This is a safety issue if arriving later in the evening. Signage in the parking garage is not good so it is difficult to determine which elevator to use. Elevators to the guest rooms are shared wih the public parking - another safety issue, especially for women traveling alone. Restaurant for breakfast is small and service is completely inadequate - waited 45 minutes just to order.
Rooms are recently renovated. Baths are small and have no counter. Only working outlet to charge cell phones and computer was in the bath - and with no counter, had to put my phone either in the sink or on the toilet - yuck!

Good
- Central location
- Very friendly staff
- Fast wifi
- Pleasant roof terrace garden
- Rent a bike station less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel (perfect for visiting the city).
Bad
- Nothing, except perhaps the restaurant which is quite good (but I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get the plat du jour)
The Walker Art Center definitely worth a visit for excellent exhibits (and very pleasant restaurant).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gambrinus good facility but too expensive
Positive: Clean, tastefully decorated, excellent location for my purposes, quite, good light blocking shades, front desk was helpful.
Negative: Parking was a bit of a hassle and expensive even with discount, expensive internet connection. I expect those things to be included in the price when paying so much for a room.

I always enjoy staying at the Crowne Plaza Northstar when in Minneapolis. Anita at reception is always especially friendly and helpful and remembers me every time I come in - even when it has been months since my last stay. Due to my positive experiences at this location, I've begun staying at Crowne Plazas more often.

Our stay at the Crown Plaza was good. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. We didn't get our promised sleep program items and felt weird asking for them. Cruddy that you have to pay for parking and it was really hard to use the sky way system. We got lost two times. Better signage would def help, but that's not the CP's fault. We did end up taking a taxi back because it was so confusing. We did have to call for directions on getting to the hotel. We kept circling blocks around downtown and couldn't find it. The friendly desk people helped us out. If we go to another Target Center event, we'd probably stay there again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff935 Great Hotel Propoerty in Downtown Minneapolis
Very nice up to date clean Hotel property in downtown Minneapolis. Friendly staff that always treats me great as a Priority Club member with space available upgrades. Walking distance to all downtown theaters, restaurants, shopping, Target Center and the Twins baseball park. My 1st choice when visiting Mineeapolis.

First, I would like to say that the staff at the Crowne were all very nice and helpful and made my stay there better than it would have been without them. I do not do a lot of traveling and did not know I needed to inquire about a fridge or internet ($25/day and $10/day) for my room. I was attending a nutritional workshop in the hotel and felt the accomodations I feel did not work well with our group and feel that we were a little mislead that they would.
I felt one lady working the front desk was particularly aggressive and unresponsive to the concerns I was trying to verbalize to her.
I would say if someone is looking to be in and out of Minneapolis in a night, stay here, I could see nothing wrong with that however, if you are looking for a comfortable stay that is accomodating to all clients' needs, find another place, probably not downtown.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Way1212 Great Hotel
Iv'e stayed at most of the larger hotels in downtown minneapolis and this hotel has the complete package for guest. There maybe higher rated hotels but all have something lacking or an added expense. ( i.e discounted rate but 30 valet parking. no resturant/ lounge onsite, poor customer service, inconvient location# This hotel does not have valet but has an attached garage with elevator to your floor #11 dollars for every 24 hours), lounge in lobby, great customer service , comfortable room, updated t.v's and furniture.
