Light through windows interfered with sleep. Whether day or night light shown through wooden slats. Drapes were in fixed position, and no way to block light for better sleep.
Also, housekeeping would not put iron and ironing board away. When asked, they said, "we don't touch personal things. " Both belong to the hotel, so this made no sense.
Printer in Business Center had no ink. Tried several times to print airline ticket. However, the host was very accommodating and printed them for me.
Disappointed no perks for being a priority Club member during this stay.

Staff was very welcoming upon our arrival and when we had trouble with the parking garage they took care of immediately and
went over and talked to the parking garage.

Staff was awesome. Location is perfect for getting around downtown. I was in Minneapolis for work, but found the location made it great to walk everywhere I wanted to go for leisure as well.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jt51 Several issues need attention
Only parking is in a public ramp. This is a safety issue if arriving later in the evening. Signage in the parking garage is not good so it is difficult to determine which elevator to use. Elevators to the guest rooms are shared wih the public parking - another safety issue, especially for women traveling alone. Restaurant for breakfast is small and service is completely inadequate - waited 45 minutes just to order.
Rooms are recently renovated. Baths are small and have no counter. Only working outlet to charge cell phones and computer was in the bath - and with no counter, had to put my phone either in the sink or on the toilet - yuck!

Good
- Central location
- Very friendly staff
- Fast wifi
- Pleasant roof terrace garden
- Rent a bike station less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel (perfect for visiting the city).
Bad
- Nothing, except perhaps the restaurant which is quite good (but I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get the plat du jour)
The Walker Art Center definitely worth a visit for excellent exhibits (and very pleasant restaurant).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gambrinus good facility but too expensive
Positive: Clean, tastefully decorated, excellent location for my purposes, quite, good light blocking shades, front desk was helpful.
Negative: Parking was a bit of a hassle and expensive even with discount, expensive internet connection. I expect those things to be included in the price when paying so much for a room.

I always enjoy staying at the Crowne Plaza Northstar when in Minneapolis. Anita at reception is always especially friendly and helpful and remembers me every time I come in - even when it has been months since my last stay. Due to my positive experiences at this location, I've begun staying at Crowne Plazas more often.

Our stay at the Crown Plaza was good. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. We didn't get our promised sleep program items and felt weird asking for them. Cruddy that you have to pay for parking and it was really hard to use the sky way system. We got lost two times. Better signage would def help, but that's not the CP's fault. We did end up taking a taxi back because it was so confusing. We did have to call for directions on getting to the hotel. We kept circling blocks around downtown and couldn't find it. The friendly desk people helped us out. If we go to another Target Center event, we'd probably stay there again.
