Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Staff are very welcoming and accommodating. People who work in the Bar Down stairs and at the breakfast place are really nice and very welcoming. Food is awesome. I wish there is a shuttle to take/pickup guests to/from nearest malls. specially when it is really cold outside. Room Service is very impressive. Over all Service is really impressive. I will for sure stay at this place if i go back to MN. February 6, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our favorite place to stay in the Cities The rooms are cold and no matter how high one turns the thermostat the room temp does not get above 70 degrees. This might be OK for younger people but as we age we need warmer rooms. We turned the thermostat to 80 (the highest the thermostat will go) and it was still cold in the room. January 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Location and affordability of the hotel was great. I had no problems with the room, and the hotel was clean from the lobby, to the halls, to the restaurant. The hotel bar had fantastic food, and great drinks. Our waitress the first night in the bar was not very friendly, and when we returned the next day, she asked us why we were back, and wasnt there another bar we could go to. However, the male bartender was very friendly and polite. Kadie at the check in desk was also extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to help us when a snow storm stranded us there an extra night. I would definitely return to this hotel if I was ever back in Minneapolis. December 14, 2012

My room for the first night was not ideal, so I visited with front desk staff and they happily switched me to another room that met my needs wonderfully! The room was quiet and extremely relaxing. The restaurant's food was amazing, especially the Lobster Mac & Cheese! The location was perfect for me as I was participating in a 3 day training session just blocks away, easily accessible via sidewalk or skyway. November 16, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, bad room We were staying at the hotel for a nearby family wedding. The hotel itself was very nice and affordable in comparison to surrounding hotels. Unfortunately, our room was right next to the elevator and you could hear the elevator everytime it went up and down. Other than the constant noise, the room was pretty nice. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent work! Great people to work with! Went downtown for a concert and ended up staying at the Crowne Plaza NorthStar. I had been there before but this experience was even more exception than any other. It started out by working with a GREAT gal named Kadie at the welcome desk. From there it just couldn't have gotten any better. Our room was fantastic with an exellent view of the city. Can't wait to visit the hotel again. Makes staying away from home a truly comfortable experience. Thank you!!! October 26, 2012

Very helpful in giving us tips for dining, quick closeby tours, and always with sincere smiles and interest for our well being. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Trip We went to the Twin Cities for a weekend getaway. We spent time all over St Paul and Minneapolis and the location of the Northstar couldn't have been better. Easy walking distance to many of the major attractions of Minneapolis. The bar/restaurant downstairs was good, decent ambiance along with great food and service. As far as the hotel goes, nice building fairly recent renovations but not many amenities. My biggest disappointment would have to be the room, overall the room and the bathroom were nice as long as you didn't look up. The ceiling in our room had some previous water damage and there were stains and cracks all over it. Also the screen to our patio door was literally just propped up against the glass. Other than that it was a great stay and I would stay there again. October 14, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Good Hotel Overall experience was not good. We had a group of 4 rooms for a birthday party downtown. Our group had to change rooms multiple times due to rooms not being cleaned, wrong floor (staff said our whole group could be on the same floor but were not when others checked in). No sink counter in bathroom. Room smelled and heat did not work well. It never was able to get over 71 degrees in the room, no matter what it was set to. 2 people in our party were greatly discounted but the manager, Jackie, would not discount the other 2 even though we ALL had significant issues during our stay. This was the cheapest hotel in the downtown area and for a group, we thought this would be best. It would have been well worth the extra $100 to stay at ANY other hotel nearby! Never again will we stay at this hotel. October 12, 2012
