Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Redrabbit20 Excellent location and service
We stayed two nights while in town for the Twins games. The location was excellent and made it easy to walk to Target Field or any restaurants near the field or around the Nicollet Mall area. It was also only one block away from a bicycle rental and so easy to ride down to the parks around the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful during check-in and even helped up save some money with parking. It was also very easy to leave our bags with the staff after we checked-out. It was a great and relaxing stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ledame55 Room.
Light through windows interfered with sleep. Whether day or night light shown through wooden slats. Drapes were in fixed position, and no way to block light for better sleep.
Also, housekeeping would not put iron and ironing board away. When asked, they said, "we don't touch personal things. " Both belong to the hotel, so this made no sense.
Printer in Business Center had no ink. Tried several times to print airline ticket. However, the host was very accommodating and printed them for me.
Disappointed no perks for being a priority Club member during this stay.

Staff was awesome. Location is perfect for getting around downtown. I was in Minneapolis for work, but found the location made it great to walk everywhere I wanted to go for leisure as well.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jt51 Several issues need attention
Only parking is in a public ramp. This is a safety issue if arriving later in the evening. Signage in the parking garage is not good so it is difficult to determine which elevator to use. Elevators to the guest rooms are shared wih the public parking - another safety issue, especially for women traveling alone. Restaurant for breakfast is small and service is completely inadequate - waited 45 minutes just to order.
Rooms are recently renovated. Baths are small and have no counter. Only working outlet to charge cell phones and computer was in the bath - and with no counter, had to put my phone either in the sink or on the toilet - yuck!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nicolas75flyertalk Great staff, pleasant renovated executive rooms, central location
Corner Executive Club room on last floor is around 40sqm
Small bathroom with fridge like light and tiny bathtub. TempleSpa amenities (I like them). 2 sinks (one in the bathroom, one next the closet, just before the bathroom).
Panoramic view over the city
Quite elegant renovated corporate design
Large flat television set with large cable channels selection (but no international channels).
No iPhone dock (but mp3 alarm clock)
No minibar (but softdrinks can be picked up at the Club lounge)
Free wifi for Platinums
The Club lounge is not big but pleasant
Evening (basic) cold and warm food
Free softdrinks (alcohol at a charge)
- Central location
- Very friendly staff
- Fast wifi
- Pleasant roof terrace garden
- Rent a bike station less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel (perfect for visiting the city).
- Nothing, except perhaps the restaurant which is quite good (but I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get the plat du jour)
The Walker Art Center definitely worth a visit for excellent exhibits (and very pleasant restaurant).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gambrinus good facility but too expensive
Positive: Clean, tastefully decorated, excellent location for my purposes, quite, good light blocking shades, front desk was helpful.
Negative: Parking was a bit of a hassle and expensive even with discount, expensive internet connection. I expect those things to be included in the price when paying so much for a room.

I always enjoy staying at the Crowne Plaza Northstar when in Minneapolis. Anita at reception is always especially friendly and helpful and remembers me every time I come in - even when it has been months since my last stay. Due to my positive experiences at this location, I've begun staying at Crowne Plazas more often.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SaraSpark Good location
Our stay at the Crown Plaza was good. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. We didn't get our promised sleep program items and felt weird asking for them. Cruddy that you have to pay for parking and it was really hard to use the sky way system. We got lost two times. Better signage would def help, but that's not the CP's fault. We did end up taking a taxi back because it was so confusing. We did have to call for directions on getting to the hotel. We kept circling blocks around downtown and couldn't find it. The friendly desk people helped us out. If we go to another Target Center event, we'd probably stay there again.

Very nice up to date clean Hotel property in downtown Minneapolis. Friendly staff that always treats me great as a Priority Club member with space available upgrades. Walking distance to all downtown theaters, restaurants, shopping, Target Center and the Twins baseball park. My 1st choice when visiting Mineeapolis.

First, I would like to say that the staff at the Crowne were all very nice and helpful and made my stay there better than it would have been without them. I do not do a lot of traveling and did not know I needed to inquire about a fridge or internet ($25/day and $10/day) for my room. I was attending a nutritional workshop in the hotel and felt the accomodations I feel did not work well with our group and feel that we were a little mislead that they would.
I felt one lady working the front desk was particularly aggressive and unresponsive to the concerns I was trying to verbalize to her.
I would say if someone is looking to be in and out of Minneapolis in a night, stay here, I could see nothing wrong with that however, if you are looking for a comfortable stay that is accomodating to all clients' needs, find another place, probably not downtown.

Iv'e stayed at most of the larger hotels in downtown minneapolis and this hotel has the complete package for guest. There maybe higher rated hotels but all have something lacking or an added expense. ( i.e discounted rate but 30 valet parking. no resturant/ lounge onsite, poor customer service, inconvient location# This hotel does not have valet but has an attached garage with elevator to your floor #11 dollars for every 24 hours), lounge in lobby, great customer service , comfortable room, updated t.v's and furniture.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Yucky1 Escort Services at the Nortstar Downtown
This place had super thin walls that allowed my family and I to hear EVERYTHING that was going on with the woman and her numerous partners next door to us.
We called the front desk (as did several other guests) about the noises and loud music that were going on in this room, but their adventures never stopped. They should have been asked to leave the premises with what was going on in that room.
We also had to use the stairwell as the elevators were so slow. We were so lucky to find several piles of human excrement and used toilet paper that didn't seem to be an impending need to fix at this hotel.
We will NEVER stay here again!

Sorry, but the food was awful. We had room service almost every day for the whole week and not one thing was decent. It was fast, I can say that, but the food was awful. My room mate ordered medium well hamburger and it came bloody, fries were always cold. pizza was terrible. no real variety. Every time we ordered there was something wrong...it was maddening.
Also, I was on crutches and asked for a wheelchair, the lady at the desk said if she couldnt find one she would get us one from another hotel......I got a letter under the door saying I could rent one from one of the following places.....bummer. I couldnt go to the food court on crutches very well, so our eating choices were very slim.
We also had a very hard time getting the cart up and down the curb in the parking ramp to bring in and out our luggage..No one helps and the curb was steep-we struggled. When we asked for help she said "the carts are in the lobby".
We also found candy wrappers behind the bedside table in the room when we checked in, hair on the counter & in the tub, Dark black longer hair...we are both blondes with short hair.
Beds and pillows were astounding...good comfort. Beds made very nicely and tight, clean. That was great.

Thank you for working with me on the type of room for my stay at your hotel. The staff was amazing. Everyone from the front desk, to the staff who delivered the food to our room to the maintenance individual who let me in my room when I locked myself out. 5* hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again!

People who work in the Bar Down stairs and at the breakfast place are really nice and very welcoming. Food is awesome.
I wish there is a shuttle to take/pickup guests to/from nearest malls. specially when it is really cold outside.
Room Service is very impressive.
Over all Service is really impressive. I will for sure stay at this place if i go back to MN.

The rooms are cold and no matter how high one turns the thermostat the room temp does not get above 70 degrees. This might be OK for younger people but as we age we need warmer rooms. We turned the thermostat to 80 (the highest the thermostat will go) and it was still cold in the room.

Location and affordability of the hotel was great. I had no problems with the room, and the hotel was clean from the lobby, to the halls, to the restaurant. The hotel bar had fantastic food, and great drinks. Our waitress the first night in the bar was not very friendly, and when we returned the next day, she asked us why we were back, and wasnt there another bar we could go to. However, the male bartender was very friendly and polite. Kadie at the check in desk was also extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to help us when a snow storm stranded us there an extra night. I would definitely return to this hotel if I was ever back in Minneapolis.

Hotel staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating. My room for the first night was not ideal, so I visited with front desk staff and they happily switched me to another room that met my needs wonderfully! The room was quiet and extremely relaxing. The restaurant's food was amazing, especially the Lobster Mac & Cheese! The location was perfect for me as I was participating in a 3 day training session just blocks away, easily accessible via sidewalk or skyway.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by awoll422 Nice hotel, bad room
We were staying at the hotel for a nearby family wedding. The hotel itself was very nice and affordable in comparison to surrounding hotels. Unfortunately, our room was right next to the elevator and you could hear the elevator everytime it went up and down. Other than the constant noise, the room was pretty nice. I would stay here again, but not near the elevator.
