Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Overall it was average hotel. I had an issue at the restaurant with our bartender, I thought the issue was handle very poorly. I asked to speak with their manager to resolve the issue and when the manager came out to talk he had his "bouncer" following him out there, I'm not sure why. The issue was resolved very quickly. The bed and pillows are not very comfortable, the room was clean, as were the grounds. Its within walking distance of a couple other restaurants. September 15, 2014

The Bride and Groom had a group of rooms reserved and we chose to arrive the day before the wedding. We found the room and floors to clean and comfortable an the staff was friendly and helpful. I think it is great they offer water aerobics classes in their pool, overall it is a beautiful classy hotel. September 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment I had high expectations for this hotel stay. I was very disappointed. I was expecting a special experience for my guest and I. We waited in line at check-in for 10 minutes only to be greeted by a very unpleasant woman. We got room 204, ask for a different room if this is what you get. When we walked into the room it looked ok until we opened the curtains. We opened the curtains to get a view of the hotels air conditioning unit. I was watching tv in the evening when bright lights shone into our room. I looked out and saw that 2 bright spotlights had turned on at 7pm shining right in the window. This hotel is not worth the price. It doesn't include anything!!! Not even breakfast! You would think they could at least throw that in. And luxurious bedding??? No, my bedding a September 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad experience Received a wedding invitatiion with the Crowne Royal Plaza as the brides choice hotel. (discount provided). Was happy it was a IHG property, as I am a member of the program. Went online to book and found the rate to be comparable to what I could book as a priority member. Two months before the wedding, I booked a king suite with a pull out sofa bed. My IHG mastercard was charged at that time. Upon check-in, we were assigned to room 340. It was located in a horrid location and it was not what I had reserved. This room did not have a king bed, nor did it have a pull-out sofa. There was a dingy small room with a small sofa (found a cigaret lighter in the couch when we looked to see if it was a pull-out), This room was also a handicap room with a discusting shower, where the water would go all over the floor because there are no sides. Went back to the front desk and were told we had two options. A room with two double beds on the seventh floor, or a room with a queen bed and a twin bed (there were four of us) We choose the double room on the 7th floor, directly accross from the elevator. I then questioned the rate difference and was told there was a $30.00 difference in the rate between the suite and the double room. I asked if I was receiving a "book early" rate. I was told yes and my account would be credited $30.00. The next morning, I receive the bill under my door stating that I have a balance of $30.00 plus dollars due. Again, it's back to the front desk to straighten out the bill. On the good side of this stay, the staff was very nice. however, It just was not a good experience, and at one point thought about just booking something accross the street. The Royal Plaza should think about an update for #340. It is grim. September 1, 2014
