Three Wonderful Nights in Natick

I booked this for a mixed business and leisure trip-I had stayed here before earlier this year on the former. The leisure part was channeling Charles Kuralt-"you can drive anywhere in the country on the Interstates and not see a thing." (I am trying to remedy by exploring Massachusetts on the backroads-that was how I found my way here in April.) And, then I managed to fit in some work in Boston.
I checked in at about 12:30AM and was upgraded to the Club Level. I think the Club Level is an underutilized asset at this property. The lounge space is lovely, as is the Keurig machine. But I think there could be more-i.e. snacks or the like, or a continental breakfast-and that would make the club level unbeatable-especially since there's a breakfast buffet offered.
That said, I have much praise for this hotel. The front desk staff were great-after I found that I lacked a sleep kit, I got one on the spot that night. My compliments especially go to Francesca-who acknowledged me as a Gold Member. I had booked on points and a package-Francesca ensured that I would keep my room for the duration of the stay. Francesca answered all my questions with a smile-her endorsement of Zaftig's was most welcome-and gave me a later checkout-and was concerned with my trip home. She is an asset to the property. Breakfast was wonderful-all the staff (especially John) were quite vigilant of me and my needs and kept my coffee cup full and accommodating of me. (I caught "moment of nature" on Sunday Morning-my one routine I do not yield to travel, and somewhat befitting in light of Charles Kuralt.) The Duck Wings were delicious at the Violet Thorn and the bartender kept a good eye on me (I'm sorry I missed her name.)
I even met some interesting fellow guests. :)
This was another tremendously wonderful stay. The only thing keeping me away from staying more often are the fluctuating rates. But this is a great property.

Bad Experience

I have lost a bag that I left behind in the room with 2 presents for my wife, expensive body lotion bought at Macy's at a total cost of U$ 128....

I checked in on Nov 7 and stayed in room 721 until Nov 11, checked out and checked back in on Nov 13, got room 717 and I mentioned that I forgot my bag....

I did not get any proper reply and had to remind the front desk 3 times... Only lame excuses like the person of housekeeping is not in.... In the end I did not hear anything back and left the hotel on Nov 15 for my flight back home to Hong Kong.... No effort was made to do anything for a frequently staying guest in this particular hotel

In the meantime still have NOT heard anything... So much about customer service and the signage in the hotel (Only if we score a TEN, we will be happy) can be removed as far as I am concerned....

My first visit to the Crowne Plaza. This was easily a nicer room and overall experience. Not a big fan of the buffet which was included in the execcutive room but other menu items were available. I was in town for a family visit so we did not use the restaurant or lounge.

Sauberkeit

Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers war gut. Es gibt allerdings einen Verbesserungsvorschlag: Die Teppichböden der Zimmer und auch die Teppichböden der Flure sollten täglich gesaugt werden. Im Zimmer und insesondere in den Fluren konnte man erkennen, dass diese nicht täglich gereinigt / gesaugt wurden. Ein nicht unbedingt positiver erster Eindruck, Ein nicht positiver Eindruck bzgl. der Sauberkeit kann vermieden werden, indem die Zimmer und Flure täglich gesaugt werden.
