Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by enjoyed stay Had a wonderful time at Crown Plaza. Great location. Great staff. Comfortable room. Bed a little high for a short person. Had to make a running jump to get on it. Bar and restaurant personnel very good. Desk staff very helpful. Helped me check in for my return flight. Breakfast buffet for our group was wonderful. Only one suggestion...........the carpet in the room I stayed in could use a cleaning. Too many "spots" on rug. Would be happy to return in the future. June 16, 2013

We love the rooms. And we especially love the very friendly staff. From the bellmen to the front desk. The attached restaurant is very good as well! June 15, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful I have stayed at the Crown Plaza...3 times in less than 2 years. First 2 were great, but this last time ...checked in the 6th..left the 9th...had 2 rooms. In one of the rooms...the sink would not drain properly and black gunk kept coming back up and the bathroom was dirty. They came and cleaned up...did not fix sink..I called back....dont know if anyone ever came back..and that time they did comp us breakfast....complained 3rd time at the front desk...never heard anything else. I always reccommend this porperty for its great location and usually great rooms, but so disapointed after this last trip I am not sure I will be back there. June 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Favorite Hotel in North America This was my fourth stay at the Crowne Plaza and I gotta tell you, this is my favorite hotel in North America. I always look forward to coming back to Southern Louisiana because, even if I'm out in Slidell, I stay at the Crowne Plaza. The people here are great. The Hotel is perfectly located for all the New Orleans sights and restaurants and attractions. The rooms are comfortable. The facilities are top notch. This hotel is not new. The building and interior are more marble and iron than glass and steel. There is a classy retro feel to the place. But it's the people that make this hotel outstanding. I had nothing but excellent, friendly and prompt service from everyone. This last stay was 11 days. I got stressed during the day and get relaxed at the hotel at night. I highly recommend this hotel. If you're able, get an executive room with lounge access. Use the pool and fitness room. It's all good. June 14, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great location - horrible, unprofessional manager James, one of the the managers 'on duty', is the most unprofessional manager I've ever dealt with in my life. I had an issue with my room that I complained about - He would not listen, and refused to resolve the situation, subsequently hanging up on us multiple times. After the second hangup, when we called back, we found out that he evicted us from the hotel because we were being a "nuisance". James, If a customer has a problem with a room, and demands an explanation and resolution, evicting them for being a nuisance just because you cannot handle stress, is not the right approach. I hope you understand that you dealt with this situation in the complete wrong manner and can learn a lesson from this. We were only to be staying there one night, and you kicked us out at 4am because we wanted to know why our key wouldn't work properly. Pride, arrogance and responding emotionally to customer complaints are terrible manager qualities and should not be allowed at an hotel such as Crowne Plaza. It's three days later, and I'm still disgusted with this place. June 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Diassapointed this time around We chose the Crowne Plaza to spend our 10yr wedding anniversary and was very dissapointed with the service and the room location. We have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience all around. So based on our previous experience we chose the Crowne Plaza over the beautiful hotels New Orleans has to offer. Needless to say, when we checked in and inquried about paying for an upgrade the staff member seemed aggrivated by sighing and rolling her eyes and stated there was nothing availbale, (as she proceeded to continue her personal converstaion with another staff memeber). She then claimed there was something available for the same rate and placed us in room 626. The room was very nice and clean, as always, but I don't know what the 'upgrade' was. The room was much smaller than our previous stay, it had NO view at all except for the side of two buildings and the location of the room was directly behind the elevators. Which we heard the motors of the elevators through the walls all day and night. I am a very easy going and forgiving person and almost NEVER complain or take the time to write a review on anything. The room location or the view would have not bothered me at all but because of the poor customer service at the front desk, I am taking the time to write this review. That being said, I do plan to give this hotel another chance and just hope she was having a bad day. All around, the hotel is in a great location and the cleaniness is supurb. When we have stayed at other locations/cities to celebrate a special occasion the front desk has always made an effort to make it a very pleasant experience by offering a complimentary 'upgrade' of some sort. We weren't expecting anything for free, #especially since we offered to pay#, but if that was her way of giving us a complimentary 'upgrade' then that was a poor way of showing it. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money I chose this hotel because it was an upscale hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed. First, we were given FREE complimentary drinks for our anniversary but the lady failed to tell us we had to go to the forth floor to get them. We got them at the bar in the lobby and was charged almost $20 for them. Then, we get to our room to find the toilet not working. Then, we were awakened in the middle of the night by the heat. The air conditioner would cool for a while then stop for a while. When we complained the next morning, the lady acted as it was no big deal. She did say she was sorry. Well I am sorry too. Sorry we chose this hotel for our special night....... June 7, 2013
