Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Bellman Chris was very informative and helpful. He had a great personality and charm! February 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Second Visit - Still an Excellent Hotel This was my second visit to New Orleans, and my second stay at the Crowne Plaza. I was welcomed as a Priority Club member by a friendly and cheerful clerk. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The Bourbon House Restaurant was very good. The hotel is convient to many other good restaurants. It is an easy walk to Jackson Square and the waterfront. The street cars stop right outside the hotel, or across the street. February 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service! The staff was amazing! Eric and Chris greeted me at the door and Ruby and Dana checked me in. I had a small issue in my room and Ricky was quick to help me and gave me a free breakfast coupon as well!!! I travel all the time and this has to be one of the best hotels ever! I will be back!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Customer Service - Great Location We had a Mardi Gras Experience at this hotel with a group of eight of us from Texas. The hotel is the perfecto location to watch parades with close access to Bourbon street as well. February 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for Mardi Gras We really enjoyed our stay: comfy rooms, bedding smelled fresh, good housekeeping service, very happy with personnel! Thought maybe the carpets could be cleaner, alittle grugey! February 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mardi Gras Hospitality The location of the hotel is ideal for Mardi Gras. The staff was fantastic during our entire stay. Even with Mardi Gras crowds, the staff remained courteous and very helpful. This is our third Mardi Gras in the Astor Crowne Plaza. February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location, Location, Location My family and I went here for Mardi Gras 2/8-2/13 and had a great time. The location itself is 5 stars especially since the hotel is located in the parade route and steps away from Bourbon Street. My family enjoyed hanging out on the hotel's balcony (3 balconies total) overlooking canal street and Bourbon. We were able to watch parades and throw beads off the balcony. Most of the go to places were walking distance. We stayed on the 14th floor and our rooms were comfortable; furniture and tv were updated. Great restaurants close by. We'll definitely stay here again. February 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One of New Orleans' best, but wireless internet a disappointment We have visited New Orleans dozens of times and make it a point of sampling different hotels, but this was our first Mardi Gras and first stay at the Astor Crowne Plaza. The staff effectively managed our expectations during the craziness on Canal Street and we appreciated the nightly voicemail message from the general manager with specifics on what disruptions would occur the next day. The staff, amenities, and decor were first rate and the hotel was surprisingly quiet despite its close proximity to Bourbon Street. The only drawback was that we had difficulty signing on to the additional-charge internet and once we did, we got kicked-off every few minutes. I complained to the front desk and they removed the charge promptly. February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A+ for The Astor Crowne Plaza My wife & I stayed there for 6 nights during Mardi Gras and once again, we loved it. This was the 2nd time I've stayed at the hotel and it is my number one choice every time I travel to NOLA! February 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by French Quarter Mardi Gras Fun The Astor Crowne Plaza offers a great, safe location to experience Mardi Gras in the heart of the French Quarter. Located on the intersection of Canal St. and Bourbon St., it affords a centrally-located haven from which to delve into the raucous mirth at one's pleasure and caprice. February 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Hotel , enjoyed my stay. The location of the hotel could not be better; you are in the middle of everything to do in downtown New Orleans. Located on the corner of Bourbon St and Canal St, you can walk out of the hotel into the French Quarter. The hotel was very clean and well kept; The rooms were good sized and updated. The hotel staff was wonderful and friendly. The location of the hotel could not be better, you are in the middle of everything to do in downtown New Orleans. The only negatives I had were: 1) All the rooms should have a refrigerator and microwave. 2) No Free Wi-Fi February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new favorite hotel in New Orleans! Room was comfortable, clean, with an incredible view. The A/C was not working properly, but fixed immediately upon complaint. Staff was very cordial from front desk to housekeeping during peak Mardi Gras season- very unusual. Everyone asked if there was anything they could do to make my stay more enjoyable. Food in restaurant was great! Historic building in prime location. The only downside was the noise level since the room overlooked Canal street, but they provided ear plugs. February 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel awsome staff From the General Manager to the check in staff we could not have been treated better. Comfortable and located in the best spot in the quarter. Room rate was affordable and the Executive level staff was great. I would not stay anywhere else in NO. Our thanks to everyone on staff February 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK The room was in the Historic wing of the hotel, which kept it quiet most nights. The room was cramped and hardly any space to relax other than on the bed. Small bathroom with good water pressure. YESSS! No view of anything. I couldn't get the heater to work right so I just turned it off. Maybe a room in the main tower would have been better. February 10, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TV Channel selection very poor Very disappointed with service from restaurant I do understand that it is independent of hotel but still very poor service Hotel provided internet did not work during my stay, did attempt to share with font desk staff the issues we had we were told "this is the first we have heard of this." They were told by many of us daily that we were experiencing problems they did little to correct it. They did remove the charges at the end of the stay, I would not have paid for such poor internet service. February 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by New Orleans This hotel has a lot of potential but sadly because of the staff it misses on many fronts. The ability to get constant pre-recorded messages from the manager was annoying which was underlined when my Priority Federal Express package sat in the Business Office and I was not informed I had a delivery. Yet they managed to charge me $5 for the package to sit around and gather dust. Security personnel were surely and unhelpful with attitudes that could only be matched by second rate TSA agents. Front desk staff were always straight faced and curt, whilst the staff at the bar out and out ignored people. This was all topped by the fact that the valet never answered the phone and the car was never ready when asked for. Very poor and not what I would expect from a Crowne Plaza hotel. Then after my experience last year in Indianapolis it seems to be a recurring pattern. February 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Not the 5 or 4 star I was looking forward to, but decent enough. The room and bathroom were dated. No issue with any noises from Bourbon street (we were on the 7th floor of the Bourbon st side of the hotel). Our room was so cold and maintenance came up twice (over a 4 day period) to help figure it out. Was not greeted as a Priority Club member nor given an upgrade for Platinum. The good? LOCATION. And the bed was sooo comfortable. Both, very important after a night on Bourbon. February 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service Whenever I stay at the Astor, the service is excellent. I've never had any issue that wasn't taken care of immediately. February 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing staff! Amazing City! WOW! is all I can say. From the location to the great comfy beds to the staff everything was just top notch! I did not mind the shuttle on Sunday morning as I can easily see how busy the traffic is in the area. Of course some people will find something to complain about.... Bell man Eric and Bull were so helpful every time I passed by them. The front desk girls were always smiling. Melissa and Dana especially was helpful. My room was very clean and spacious. Restauraunt served excellent food. i really cant say enough! We will be back soon! February 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hotel this hotel was awesome and would definitely come back February 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Taogirl Front desk staff was very unfriendly. Bellman took us to our room in the building attached to the main hotel and we were really upset. We ordered a King bed and the room we were given was so small there was about 2 feet from the end of the bed to the wall. Our wonderful bellman went to the front desk and had them change our room to the main part of the hotel. The new room was twice the size of the first room and more centrally located. I wondered why the crabby front desk clerk didn't give us the better room in the first place. Not a good start. The new room was spacious and nice. Exercise room was nice. Really comfortable bed and the room was cleaned well everyday. Location was great - right on Canal Street. The hotel manager graciously extended our check out time to accomodate our later flight. Refridgerator would be a nice touch. February 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in the city January 31, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dont stay in Room 1240 I stayed at the Crown Plaza New Orleans French Quarter hotel because I attended a conference there. I arrived late on a Tuesday night and the front desk clerk was very nice and quick getting me checked in, however no one offered to help me with my bags. When I got to my room it was very clean, but there wasn’t a mini-refrigerator or any water bottles in the room. The next morning I noticed something was wrong with the shower when I couldn't get the water to come out of the shower head. After several tries I finally got it to work but there was hardly any water pressure. I was in the middle of showering with soap from head to toe when the water just stopped coming out of the shower head. I turned it off and tried turning it back on but there was no water coming out of the faucet at all. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone up to fix it. After waiting almost 45 minutes with soap still in my hair I called the front desk again. That is when they alerted me that the water stopped working throughout the entire hotel. So I went into the bathroom and turned on the water and it was working, but I still couldn't get it to come out of the shower head. So I called the front desk again to inform them I had water but the shower still would not work. Again they said they would send someone up. At this point I was running late for the conference and had to rinse out my hair in the sink. As I was running out the door is when a maintenance man came to look at it. He handed me a coupon for a complimentary breakfast and said he would fix it. I went back to my room several times throughout that day to see if the problem had been fixed, but to my surprise it had not. I complained to the front desk again about it and they kept saying they would get it fixed. Not once did they offer me another room or seemed concerned about the inconvenience this was causing me. I could have cared less about the free breakfast; all I wanted was to have a working shower. The next morning I was able to get it to work after several tries, but once again there was hardly any water pressure. If I ever visit New Orleans again whether it is for business or personal reasons I will never stay in that hotel again. January 31, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Be Careful! Overall, I had an okay stay at the Crone Plaza. My room was nice and the staff was friendly. I booked a double bed suite and stayed from Jan 18 until Jan 21. However, the first problem I had was that an additional $200 was being held on my debit card! The second problem occurred when I was attempting to go to the front desk to inquire about the additional charges on my debit card. I got off the elevator on the ground floor and slipped in a puddle of vomit in the FRONT LOBBY near a sofa! Still horrified, I managed to make my way to the front desk to report what I just encountered was that stepped out of the elevator. I was then told that a $50 damage fee was held for each day of my stay. This would have been nice to know when I paid for my entire stay on the first night. January 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Good Experience I came to Astor Crowne Plaza as a member of a group conference. Briefly, all services and properties were at or above expectations except banquet lunch food which was slightly below expectations ("rubber chicken and veggies"). Food and service in Bourbon House restaurant were above expectations, though bar was expensive and closed early with customers still ordering drinks in the bar lounge. I would try this hotel again. January 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Definitely would go back! This hotel is in the perfect location. We went for the first weekend of Mardi Gras - was right in the action, but far enough where it wasn't too loud at night. The staff and atmosphere were great. January 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room serviced all of our needs!! We always love a refrige, micro wave!! This was our 2nd stay at your hotel and the over all experience was a 5 star stay.. The staff are very upbeat and happy and really hope you have a great day!! Thanks for a great vacation!! Where you stay is very important, and I'd recommend this hotel to all!! January 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great visit I highly enjoyed the visit. The rooms are fantastic, the staff is very professional and helpful. They check you in quickly so you can go enjoy one of the more unique cities in North America. Wonderful stay, and I'll stay much more regularly. I've tried so many hotels in NOLA, and now I feel like I have a great location to use time and time again. January 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Location, Parking Could Have Been Better I came for a friend's wedding and it was my first time in NOLA. I had a great time and the hotel was fantastic. Location is great and the staff tried really hard to make my stay fantastic. Only weird thing was the parking. Expensive (that's given due to location) and hard to get a valet's attention. But great overall. January 26, 2013
