Comfortable bed and great location

April 18, 2015

We recently returned (11 April) from the Crowne Plaza and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was swift and efficient although the receptionist couldn't stop yawning in my face - I was kind of tired too having travelled from London - guess she'd had a busy day. Room was as booked with view over Times Square and two double beds. Very comfortable beds and barely any noise from streets. Lovely shower with nice quality complimentary toiletries. Huge TV was good for catching up with news and golf!! Ate in bar a couple of times and service swift and food good. Drinks quite pricey but when you consider location then you are paying for that. Grab and go shop handy for taking croissants etc and drinks to room for breakfast as unfortunately room service not available and breakfast quite expensive in hotel and big queues of business looking people which put us off going. Room service would have been really great for us as one child really too tired to go out to eat a couple of times after busy days out !!

Internet was for multi use and I also was offered late check out by reception both for free as I am an IHG member. Hotel very well situated and literally over the road from the ambassador theatre where we saw chicago so no worries about getting back afterwards!! Check out very smooth and quick and receptionist extremely courteous. If I were lucky enough to visit New York again I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again if they got room service up and running again .

Great Times Square Hotel with Exceptional Service

April 17, 2015

The exceptional service of the Crowne Plaza Time Square began upon check-in which was early around 10:00 a.m. Victoria at the front desk was able to upgrade my room and saw that I was going to get settled in comfortably and quickly Her great treatment got my New York Easter vacation off to an awesome beginning. Freddy in the restaurant offered the best service possible. Ask for him by name. Richard, Food & Beverage Manager came by to check on things and I offered my thanks for the prompt, courteous and caring staff such as Freddy. Tom in the lounge made sure my evening meal service was great and kept the beverages following with top notch service and a smile, which is always appreciated. The staff make the difference at this New York hotel. It is my hotel destination when visiting. Thanks to all for making my trip exceptional.

Very Nice Hotel

April 17, 2015

We only stayed one night but it worked out perfectly. The staff were a bit of a mix - mostly positive with some exceptional and one mildly irritable after a busy day. The room was clean and comfortable. We opted for an extra high floor to avoid street noise, and it was very quiet.

Negative - (which may be a plus for some) - the neighborhood is SO crowded with pedestrian traffic that it takes a little longer than you expect to get places on foot. This means that Penn Station is a relatively easy walk but slightly harder than you might expect.
