It was a very pleasant experience with first class service from staff. Nothing was a trouble. The location on a working harbour was quite unique and memorable. I would certainly stay here again.

We only had the one night at the Crown Plaza Newcastle. However, from the moment we arrived until we left the next morning the attention and service were everything one could wish for and more.
The staff could not have been more helpful and attended to our every need.
We shall certainly be visiting again.
Thank you to all the staff for making our visit such an ejoyable experience.

A great stay in Honeysuckle (Newcastle) on the very edge of the harbour. Great food and service. Staff very polite and helpful. Parking arrangements could have been cheaper considering it was Newcastle.

Hotel is Lovely with Fantastic views and in a great location in Newcastle.
Staff were friendly when they were not busy.
My Partner and I wanted to get away for the long weekend and explore Newcastle. The Hotel was overall very nice but lacked that polished finish that you expect from Crowne Hotels and for the money you pay. The small things were missing such as, being greeted everytime you enter the hotel, asked if your stay is going well or if we require anything extra? Or even just how our day is going? These have been things I have experienced in Great Hotels where you pay every dollar happily because your stay was special.
I also had a problem with my final bill which I had to chase the hotel for, which in my opinion is not good enough.
You dont go to a nice hotel for just the room, but for that special experience.

a LOVELY hotel perfect setting,on the water lots of places to eat which was great.check in wasnt pleasant a very (SOUR ) girl at reception so found that a let down !! all other staff very nice .we had the suite on floor 0ne ! really loved the room shall stay again in the future for sure.

The service was excellent from the moment we checked in until our late checkout. Very convenient to eating establishments for dinner. Beautiful view. Great breakfast. Would love to return and stay a little longer.

We had a brilliant time at the Crowneplaza, staff were helpful and polite. Top location for the Newcastle CBD.
My only gripe, (but its not unique to the Crowne) after paying for accomadation, you get hit for a bill to park the car, when most of us have no choice but to drive and there is no other choice of places to park.

I have stayed at the crowne plaza Newcastle many times since it opened but this was my first visit in the last 12 months. I received the usual warm welcome and recognition of my platinum status which included upgrade to a top floor harbour suite, I love the harbour front location and the professional and caring attitude of the staff with the nothing is too much trouble attitude which really confirms a hotels four and a half star rating. what I was particularly impressed with this trip was the quality of food in the restaurant which was exceptional as on previous occasions I dined I considered the food quality to be ordinary. I will be back in Newcastle in a few months and will definitely be staying and eating at the crjowne plaza. I would not consider staying anywhere else whilst in newcastle

Location can't be beaten, right on the vibrant harbour of Newcastle. The lounge is very pleasant for a business meeting or just for a sit down to read the paper. Downside was the strange vegetarian meal I ordered from room service - what was described on the menu as a tofu and asian green stir fry was a big bowl of noodles with fried capsicum and carrots, two lone pieces of coriander was all that could be seen as 'greens' - yechhh!
Shame about the pool - thought I'd have a swim before work - not to be - am is the cleaning time for the pool and it was closed - such a great location, but the pool isn't heated and the gym next door doesn't have a pool.

Situated at ideal location, close to good bars and dining, good gym and waterfront for walking/jogging etc.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, rooms are clean.
Restaurant a little pricey but food is good.
Rooms on street side a little noisy in traffic but waterfront rooms ok.
I have stayed here numerous times and its always high quality.

Located in the Honeysuckle precinct means easy access for waterfront dining and drinking etc.. Also being on the harbour/water front, makes for an interesting and ever changing scenery as the tug boats, freighters and leisure craft cruise past.
The beaches are five minutes away and everything you need is close at hand.
The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the rooms functional but a little dated. The only negative being the bathroom drain odours from time to time...at least I think that's what it was.

I would recommend the Crowne Plaza Newcastle as a great place to stay. It is centrally located to everything, has great views and the restaurant is wonderful. The live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings is excellent giving the bar area the ambience to have a nice quiet beverage.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Crowne Plaza and on both occasions we were overwhelmed by the efficient and extremely professional staff. They bent over backwards to ensure our stay was enjoyable and always greeted us with a smile. The room was very comfortable, with a good view over the wharf area. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety for all tastes. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Newcastle for a wedding, checking in Friday night and checking out monday morning.Whilst the first two nights of our stay I was disappointed, the last last night of our stay was a great improvement. We checked in quite late (1.30am) and the customer service was poor. The employee checking us in didnt check us in correctly, which we didn't find out until check out. There was no assistance with our luggage. Upon enetering our room, there was a strong urine-like smell in the bathroom.
When we failed to receive housekeeping on Saturday, I informed the front desk, who apologised and arranged for housekeeping for the next day.
The last two days of our stay were a great improvement. All of a sudden on Sunday, the staff were friendly and happy to greet people! As opposed to the previous day or brief, uninformative conversations with staff, all of a sudden it was all smiles and very welcoming.
However, upon check out, we discovered we hadn't been checked in correctly. We were on a wedding guest list, with a special deal including breakfast. Meanwhile, throughout our stay we had been charged breakfast to our account. This confusion was cleared up relatively quickly.
There were good points and bad points of my experience at the Crowne Newcastle, and I'm not sure I would stay there again. The negative leaves a bigger impact than the positive.

Even though the room was nice, the internet connetion was slow and required three phones calls to have resolved. I also had a TV whose remote control didn't work and after bringing the fault to the attention of staff at the front desk it required me to ask again and still wasn't resolved. I reported the fault again on my departure.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary and received on arrival Champagne and a nice card from the hotel. Service was fabulous and room was clean and well positioned. Best view! Thanks, will stay again.

Booked a king spa suite after being told there was no honeymoon suite to stay the night before and the night of my wedding, walked into a filthy room with stained walks and doors, bathroom was covered in men's hair and a dirty towel Hung on the back of the bathroom door. The room was very small proving difficult to get a bride and 2 bridesmaids ready for a wedding with a photographer and hair and makeup artist. Handprints all over the window . Took 49 mins to fill up the spa only to find it didn't work and was covered in mould! Very unhappy, mentioned this upon checkout to no reall concern. Won't stay again despite being members.

Interior decor starting to look a bit tired and scruffy. Doors and walls scratched and marked, espercially the outside doors.
Negatives: Charging for internet access, this is an outmoded practice and frankly money grabbing, this should be a free service to patrons.

It was nice to be back at the Crowne Plaza...I have been staying at the Accor accommodation, because of the PLASTIC on you mattresses...YUK! I rang the hotel and was told you no longer have it..so I happily returned..I was WRONG. It makes your beds like hospital beds. If you are concerned re staining..then I strongly suggest you put 3 mattress protectors on the beds....as is requested on my profile. Unfortunately the request was not honoured for my stay...although the manager, who very kindly welcomed me back, apologised...he could see it on my profile. I sadly didn't check my bed, why would I when I'd been told the plastic wasn't there any more....it was when I retired, that immediately I knew..but because my daughter and I had just showered...there was only 1 very thin towel to put under the mattress protector...and 1 pillow slip cover...my daughter was in the fold out bed and using the pillows. Well...I continually kept waking up hot. I really dislike that feeling....and it isn't doesn't result in a good sleep.I didn't call anyone as I was so tired and just wanted to go to sleep and it was late.
I am sorry if I sound like a whinger...but I have many happy memories of your hotel in Newcastle and my criticisms are meant to be constuctive.
