My room was clean and attractively furnished. The bathroom was lovely. The TV was large enough to watch from the bed. I slept like a baby!

Too expensive to what it offers

Being a Platinum Ambassador ICG member I have stayed in many very good hotels by the group. This specific one in Boston Newton is below their standard. Staff is very nice and accommodating but hotel looks and feels Old, facilities are old, it is noisy as it sit on top of the highway (which actually run below the hotel) so you get cars and trucks noise all the way to the top floors. If it is not a must - then there are many very good alternatives in 10-20min drive from there.

In room AC / air circulator / road noise

The in room AC/ Heater was controlled by the wall thermostat and it worked properly I was able to turn the Ac off and turn heat on however when the ambient temperature was such That it did not call for heat or AC I was unable to turn the unit off completely so we had the continuous sound of a fan blowing. It was a noise I could live without but not bad enough for me to register a complaint. I suspect that this white noise is very effective in covering the noise from I-90 that runs under the hotel. While the road noise can be heard to varying degrees depending on the time of day it is not excessive and the building seems to have been properly engineered to minimize this enough for the average guest.
