Great view but room in desperate need of updating and repair

August 26, 2014

This is by far the worst Crowne Plaza room I have ever stayed in. It is an old hotel but has issues that could and should be addressed. The bathroom door was warped so bad that it could not be closed. The hinges on the bathroom door and the metal on the shelf in the bathroom were rusted. The flow of cold water in the bathroom sink was almost non-existent. The pillows were worn out and very uncomfortable. On top of this there were many young men attending a convention at the hotel that decided the hallway outside our room was a frat house at 2am. The front desk was aware of the situation, but it still took 45 minutes to quiet them down. We were greeted by beer bottles and glasses all over the hall outside our room the next morning. We had a great view of Niagara falls but were very disappointed with this Crowne Plaza.

Good location but average service

The hotel is centrally located and the room had a great falls view. The housekeeping and the front desk service levels can be better..

Comfortable and convenient

August 25, 2014

My husband and I stayed for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. We booked online, and the photos used to represent our room selection were not completely accurate, but the view was still great. This location was great for accessibilty to Clifton Hills hot spots. The food in the Rainbow Room was great, and the view was great; although we had requested a slightly later reservation and were told they were booked. When we got up to the dining room is was far less than full at the time we preferred. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall, glad we stayed here, it was a lovely hotel!

Unpleasant Surprise

August 25, 2014

Decide to try this hotel because the convenient access to the Waterpark. Big mistake, was way over priced for the value provided compared to other hotels in the area. Staff that served us was not properly trained, provided misinformation and they even screwed up the routine purchase of additional Waterpark passes.
Carpet next to bed and AC was soaking wet and entire room had a old shabby feel too it.
Seems like Free complimentary upgrades were reserved for people/families who did not look like me/mine as we were the only one checking in at that time who were not offer something similar.
