Stayed 4th April. Booked for the Club Room and floor paying in advance. On arrival, incredibly, no room at the Inn !!
They had overbooked the rooms. Not very impressive but the Receptionist did their best. Room on floor 3, still access to club lounge BUT not the best way in all honestly, this just should not happen. Only experienced this in Nottingham. The Continental Breakfast in the club lounge was sub standard on this occasion, not fresh delivery, for this reason cannot recommend this time round. Very disappointing.

Asked for a room on low floor as I dislike Lifts was given room on 4th floor and had to use the fire escape stairs.Was told there were no available rooms like the one I had only to find out the the hotel was almost empty.Also could not get an evening meal in the restaurant only the bar as there was a function on so had to go out for dinner.would have liked the person checking me in to have been a little more helpful to my needs.

I have stayed at the Crowne plaza with friends plenty of times and always had a great time . Had a issue with my bedding on my last visit 28 03 13 . The matter was resolved in a very professional manner by Trevor the night porter . Would recommend to anybody

We stayed here a couple of weekends ago in a king size suite on the 8th floor. There was a private bar on this floor, abit small but the drinks where free between 6 and 10pm!!
The room was great, nice and big, spottlessly clean.
We,ve been before last year but in a standard room and enjoyed the stay then.

We've been this hotel at least three times now. It works really well for us being so close to the Theatre Royal and the city centre. Clean and well run as far as we have seen.

Upgraded to a club room. Really nice for a special occasion. Only problem was noise from children in the room next door and using the club room which spoilt the relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely

Room was very tired, especially the tiny bathroom. Toilet was squeezed in behind the door which was very awkward to use. Rooms are small. Plus points are that it was clean and bed was comfy, but I'm guessing that the Express by HI down the road would have been better value for money.

On arriving at the hotel I was told there was no booking for me only then to be told that I had already checked in at lunchtime.
Parties in rooms till early hours.
Night club at rear of hotel which is open late every night and very noisy.
Room not made up on one day and still not remedied 4 hours after being complained about.
Would not recommend this room as it is far too expensive for the quality of stay.

I spent 2 nights here with an old friend from lincolnshire. The hotel was wonderful, really friendly staff and just what we needed for a weekend to catch up over the years. The hotel is really central to Nottinghamcity and the atmosphere was just magic. I would recommend this hotel for that special weekend or just to chill in a really nice place.

We stayed at the hotel last week, we found the staff very welcoming and the room was lovely, we have also stayed at the reading plaza and will be returning there in April ,
However we were disappointed in the car park charges, I think that guests should get a discount as at £12 a night was very expensive

First stay in a Crowne Plaza and I would deffinately recommend the hotel in Nottingham. Parking on site, great Superior twin room with extras. Breakfast is not to be missed!!! Less than 5 mins to shops, Concert hall, restaurants entertainment, etc Next visit is already being planned

This is the second time of staying here. The stafff we excerlant, facilities are wonderful. We took the two dine for £29.99 plus glass of wine. (large glass) very good value. Could not fault anything. It doesn't look much from the outside but once inside it is very wellcoming

The gentleman on the front desk could not have been more pleasant or helpful. I felt he found a connection with us and remembered us which was a really nice personal touch. The room was comfortable, clean and really made us feel relaxed. The hotel was amazing and I would defiantly stay here again

Enjoyed our stay, only a slight hitch with the lighting which fused! but was resolved in minutes
Bathroom was a bit dated but otherwise lovely room
Lovely views from Executive room and very comfortable bed, nice little touch with the lavender sleeping aids
Executive lounge wasnt manned by any staff and didnt have any 'nibbles' as described and tables were not cleared
Overall a nice stay

The room was fine but the bedding was totally inadequate. This has been replaced since my last stay and the duvets are now very skimpy. I recommend you take a blanket!

On arrival we was not at any time given the details regarding the fact we had not paid for a full breakfast as we was on the 8th floor for club only.
This was embarrising when we went down for breakfast the first morning.
The waitress took our details on how unhappy we were but nothing was done.

Stayed here on a friday night. Quick check in, very polite and helpful receptionist. Room had everything in you could need, clean, however had a slightly musty smell. No noise during our stay which was great considering the location of a city center. Didnt sample the resturant as we arrived late and left early.Car park next to the hotel and the £12 for the 24hours in line with other places I have stayed.
Would stay here again

We stayed at this hotel (as we have a number of times before) when attending a show at the Royal Centre. On this occasion, the hotel was quiet (ie: minimal number of guests). As ever, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful. For the first time - apparently because it was a Sunday night stay and therefore fewere guests, the paid-for hot buffet breakfast was not available. That said, a cook-to-order hot breakfast was available and as always the quality was good. WE like this hotel, it is well-located for our needs and always our first choice.

Stayed in an executive room for my wife's birthday, room was great,we used the club room for a drink several times during our stay- nice touch. Reception lady was very helpfull and pleasant.Nice ambience about the hotel.The hotel is perfectly placed for the attractions being two minutes from the bars and 5 minutes from the main shopping area. My only gripe is the breakfast plates are small which I am told is being addressed, and no I am not a greedy person!. We will be returning for definite in the near future.

Located close to centre of city, modern style and reception area. Rooms fairly basic but perfectly acceptable.
Staff very helpful and customer service very good.
Heating was having problems due to cold weather but they were very helpful in making sure the room was satisfactory.
Would stay again.

Upon arrival at the hotel I was amazed by its stunning lobby and how well the staff presented themselves, along with the very pleasant welcome I received.
Check in was really easy and smiles all round. The front desk staff were helpful and informative. In addition, very knowledgeable.
My room spacious and kept to a high standards in both presentation and maintenance. Furniture was stylish and comfortable, good selection of channels on the television. Plus complimentary tea's with biscuits and bottled water.
Only thing I could find wrong with my room was the condensation that had ran down the windows and gathered on the windows ledge beneath.
My breakfast in the club lounge was excellent. I couldn't say anything else, but it was very much for 'executive room' residents/

Fairly easy to find the hotel and it has a good size car park. For some reason there's no lighting in the car park, so be careful if arriving at night.
Quick check in, with no recognition of Ambassador status.
Lobby/ communal areas of hotel are very nice and modern. Breakfast was quick and efficient and plentiful - staff member was very nice and helpful.
Main problem is the rooms and bathrooms, which are very tired and dated. I booked a Superior room, which so far as i could see had no extras from a standard room except a bottle of water.
Everything about the hotel makes it feel very much like a Holiday Inn, not a Crowne Plaza.
It's important to receive the little extras that Ambassadors should get, when you're in hotels 4 days a week, it's what makes you go back to a certain hotel. Unfortunatley i won't be returning to this one.

Arriving by car, this hotel was very difficult to find, being tucked away off a side street, in a one-way system. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, the use of space in this vast hotel leaves much to be desired. The room was tiny - not at all what I'd expect of a Crowne Plaza, and I've stayed in plenty of them before. It was almost as if a standard room had been divided to make two smaller ones. There was nowhere to put luggage that didn't require me to keep moving it around in order to open the wardrobe, or sit at the desk. The bathroom was very cramped, with the toilet placed so close to one wall that I had to sit on it sideways. The hand-wash basin was so close to another wall that it was difficult to grasp the lever which operated the plug. The breakfast was great, but again, everyone was seated in a relatively small area of a huge dining room, and the table at which I was seated (on the curve behind the servery area) was a very busy thoroughfare which people were constantly walking through, making it feel as if I was sitting on the concourse of a busy rail or bus station. Most irritating considering there were dozens of unused tables in a very open area that just wasn't being used.

The hotel was in a great location next to Nottingham City Centre shops and restaurants, with attractive interiors. However, the entrance from the car park is unwelcoming and many of the staff were efficient but unfriendly. Our hotel room was small but clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were very quiet due to the time of year, so lacked atmosphere, and breakfast was poor quality and disappointing.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and always been very pleased with the rooms and service on offer, however, on this occasion I was left very wanting, in particular with the service and attendance in the club lounge. we where there 2 nights and each night stocks for the beverages where run out and the canapés where not kept toped up during the served hours. Breakfast on the second morning was nothing short of a joke, when we arrived in the club room at 0915 the food was completely gone, there where no cups for coffee no cutlery at all not even a spoon, we called down and someone came up after 30 mins only to disappear again and come back with 3 eggs and 4 slices of cheese. I then had to re ring down to further explain that there was not only not the food there should be but nothing to eat or drink it off, it took until 1030 for anything to be brought up. NOT GOOD ENOUGH at all, not only this but the room was constantly left dirty both evenings and mornings. If you are going to offer this service then maintain it properly. VERY dissatisfied regular customer who is now considering using another hotel.

Friendly helpful staff at a very busy time, but check-in took far too long. One lift out of action for about 18 hours not great either....BUT a nice hotel with a great breakfast buffet, rooms clean and well equipped if a bit small. No hesitation in recommending a stay here, slap bang in the centre of Nottingham for its theatres and shopping all within easy walking distance.

The tittle says it all, don't expect to get any sleep unless its just one person in the "double" bed. The location of the hotel is ideal for downtown Notts though.

We stayed for one night and generally had a great experience. The hotel has great facilities but we found the staff lacking. They gave incorrect information and advice across the board, with little communication between teams e.g. we booked in for breakfast on arrival but were not given breakfast vouchers to redeem, my credit card was swiped for 'extras' but room service could not be processed without it being taken again... plus the computers were down at checkout which caused chaos!
Would visit again, but please someone train the staff better!
