Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by El peor hotel Holiday inn Un desastre de hotel. El recepcionista incompetente. Nos dio las llaves en el tarjetero de otro cliente con un voucher. En el bar no nos daban dos bebidas porque sólo teníamos un voucher. La piscina en obras y no la pudimos utilizar porque habían montado un party familiar a las seis de la tarde. El que nos informo no nos informó, porque no nos miraba a la cara ya que escribía en un ordenador. La señorita que vino después, vino comiendo y con la boca llena. La habitación ruidosa y para terminar al día siguiente me empezaron a utilizar la tarjeta de crédito en compras por internet y que tuve que denunciar en la policía. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent hotel in heart of city Pros: * Centrally located in Panama city * Easy taxi ride to anywhere * Nice, friendly staff--very attentive when requests are made * Nice welcome amenity (drinks) for loyalty travellers * Comfortable rooms * Breakfast buffet is decent (not outstanding, however) * Excellent prices can be found Cons: * Nearby church tolls bell at 6AM * Pool and gym are below average * Walls are not strong enough to keep out noise of "honeymooners" * Noisy A/C in some rooms (okay in others) January 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff is the best I have stayed in four or five hotels in Panama City, some quite a bit more expensive, and the Crowne Plaza remains my favorite. The biggest plus is the warm, friendly staff. They may not be able to resolve all your problems, but if you tell them about something, they at least try (some of the most expensive hotels had the most surly staff). The pool is small and the gym very modest, so if those are important to you, you might want to look elsewhere, but otherwise it has everything you need and is very accessible. The only 4 I gave it was for sleep quality. The beds and bedding are fine, but sometimes parties at a neighboring hotel pool make it hard to get to sleep at night, or the church bells across the street wake some people up early. If you are a sensitive sleeper, might want some ear plugs. December 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, poor internet service. Have stayed here several times passing through Panama City as the company I work for uses it. Friendly staff and good service. The room is decent. Bad experience with the internet every time though. Slow to non existent in the rooms. In this day and age and with the many complaints I am sure they receive I would think that could be fixed. Also there is a hefty charge($120) if a friend comes back to your room to spend the night. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel - absolutely no Internet I found the breakfast to be above average (in my opinion) and the staff very friendly and helpful. Nice part of town, close to shops, restaurants and casinos. Very safe. The Internet is terrible terrible terrible - I opened the cmd panel in my computer and had a perpetual ping to google over hours and days and I would say that 50% of the time the Internet was down. They claim it's because of street work - building the metro, but this didn't help me. The pool is too small to swim, the treadmill has a torn padding, so it's like walking on a carpet, and you hear your neighbors air conditioning all the time (when yours is off). Also the lounge is closed for renovations. In all, the staff are friendly and the breakfasts are good, but I can't recommend the hotel. This after staying in Crowne Plaza San Jose, Costa Rica and Caracas, Venezuela. December 2, 2013
