No elevator is a definite turnoff. Only for bring luggage in and out of hotel. Internet was poor. January 26, 2013

Was surprised to get a little guest goodie bag upon arrival for belonging to the priority club. Bone fish grille right next door. Amazing food. Only one thing I was curious about. I never saw such a low toilet. Looked like it was made for a child. Had to bend down to reach the handle to flush. Just a little odd. All in all, a very nice stay. January 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort and Convenience and Kindness Of the four Major New Jersey hotels that I've stayed at since april of 2012, CROWNE PLAZA was the BEST, in terms of value, location, comfort, service and having a bathroom that was well appointed for anyone with physical disabilities, (such as myself). My room was very clean, and quiet. As were the hotel corridors. The thermostat and the coffeemaker worked perfectly.(The latter features being very important to me). Employees smile, greet you, and offer you assistance if needed. I arrived 2 days before Xmas, and in addition to my luggage, I had a big bag of gifts, / wrapping paper etc. with me. The desk clerk noticed this, and after checking me in, told me that if I needed tape or scissors, to let her know. She did everything but offer to wrap the presents for me.. I enjoyed having a chair and ottoman in the room, the daily newspaper, the RESTFUL SLEEP KIT,and the chocolates that are placed on the bed each nite. I was comfortable and always felt safe throughout my stay. January 23, 2013

High Quality service While the hotel itself is very ordinary the staff is not and it more than makes up for anything it is lacking, Front desk is great, housekeeping does a great job. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Walls Paper Thin The hotel and staff of this hotel are fine, but the walls of the rooms are paper thin. I could easily hear the television on the common wall as well as the conversations of the guests in the next room, even though they were at a normal conversational level. This was not typical of other hotels of this caliber or even other Crowne Plazas I have stayed at. I will still use Crowne Plaza, but I will not stay at this hotel again. November 1, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sleeping rooms need complete rennovation I have been staying in the area for aount 27 years. I am aware that not too long ago there was a rennovation to this property. Some key issues were overlooked. There is no elevator at this property...when there are a lot of bags this is impossible. The heating and airconditioning unit are too old and worn out...loud and ineffective. bath rooms still have old tile and tubs...very obvious. No real update here. Breakfast area is adequate. It is a two level building that COULD be similar to a low-budget motel without an elevator; HOWEVER, the impeccable service rockets it to the hotel status it deserves. I was reliant on the hotel for all of my needs, and they certainly exceeded my expectations. Every single request or concern I had was immediately addressed and resolved by the very pleasant and professional staff who were very happy to meet my needs. My room was comfortable and clean. The shower was always hot and refreshing. The hotel shuttle was always punctual, professional, helpful, and available. The food service both at The Bonefish Grill and the breakfast cafe was fantastic and accommodating. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning up after me, and replenishing the amenities. Anything I wanted or needed (within reason of course) was just a call to the front desk away. And I saw all of the staff provide the same impeccable service to all of their guests. I would certainly recommend the Paramus Crown Plaza Hotel to anyone staying in the area. October 20, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most Convenient, Most Value Hotel in New Jersey My Family and I had an opportunity to stay in Crowne Plaza last week for 4 days... the experience was fabulous... I love the breakfast bar. Usually hotel food is not that great... but I will highly recommend the hot breakfast in this hotel. The rooms are so clean, the staff are so professoinal and it is so convenient to stay in if you want to go to New York, without paying the New York City hotels price. YOu can get in the city in 20 minutes... also, very near to places like Trader's Joes, Macy's, etc... September 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Stay The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very clean rooms and bathroom. The king size bed with the pillows are very very comfortable. Upgraded to the King Bed Executive at an extra price which was to include a free bottle of water, (every day) bathrobe and slippers and a sleep kit with an eye mask and earplugs. Only received the bottle water but not every day. There were no bathrobes, slippers and the sleep kit and when I mentioned it to the front desk, they knew nothing about it. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad front desk service I arrived at the hotel at about 2:20 pm after driving 4.5 hours, to get ready for a wedding that was at 5 pm. (The wedding party had reserved a block of rooms for guests.) The first words out of the front desk clerk's mouth were "We don't have any rooms available...check in time is not until 3 pm." My response, was "wow, the wedding is in a couple hours, and this is where most of us are staying, can you check to see if you have any room ready?" Without saying a word, the clerk clearly found that he had rooms available, and proceeded to set me up with a room key. I thought it was odd that he didn't check before blurting out that he had nothing available, and I politely told him I thought that in terms of customer service, that was probably a good idea. After attempting a feeble protest, he seemed to agree. After this negative first impression, I hear from my fellow wedding guests that they were given a bag of chocolate chip cookies that were supposed to be given to all guests AND an invitation to a breakfast for everyone the next morning. I received neither. The next morning, when I went to check out, he told me I was all set. I then mentioned to him his failure to provide either of these items to me, and in response, he offered me a care package that apparently was supposed to be given to guests as well, and I still don't know understand why he did not automatically give it to me upon check out. I was left with a very negative impression of this hotel experience. This employee clearly needs better training. September 14, 2012

On the night before, we went to great lengths to ensure and verify with the front desk staff that the hotel shuttle could take us to the train station in the morning (Monday of Labor Day.) In deed the staff confirmed yes. At the appointed time the next day the shuttle did not appear. We did take a taxi. We are OK with the shuttle not being available or not working, just give a guest some heads up. September 9, 2012

Good business center with print-from-your-laptop connection. Only improvement I'd make is to include MSNBC in tv lineup. Stayed here twice in the past month and will definitely return. Wished there was an elevator & at least 1 exercise mat in the gym. Overall hotel was clean and comfortable. Wallpaper in bathroom all stained and gross (room 211, I think). Breakfast was good. In the past years we did not have to go down to the lobby to get our morning tea. We hope you will return the tea to the rooms by the time we come back again. July 22, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Negative Stars (Front Desk) If you are in a service oriented industry and you have to be on the phone, at least let the customer waiting in front of you know that you would be right with them. It's common courtesy, and it alleviates the wait. (Housekeeping) The following is not acceptable: Hairs on your pillow which do not belong to you, unlaundered recycled bed linen, empty tissue boxes. Spent one night because my air-conditioning unit broke down but I would have been much more comfortable if I were boiling at home. July 15, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location/Value Unfortunately was in Paramus attending Uncle's Funeral. However, nothing but good things to say about location, staff and cleanliness of the rooms. When you are traveling with 90 year and 77 year old Mom and Aunt location and in hotel restaurant are very nice add-on features. Great value for all that was offered. I have stayed once before and would stay again if family needs brought me back. July 10, 2012
