The room and comfort was great. However I was a little disappointed with staff . I stayed at this hotel Because it said they offered Fulll amenities. I wanted to utilize the shuttle service But was told that it was not available as they only had maintenance employees available to drive the shuttle. I was very disappointed Since this was the main reason I stayed at this location.

My overall experience with this hotel was excellent! I was felt welcome and was assisted at registration to resolve some personal problems. The rooms were clean, and comfortable. The restaurant staff was very courteous and welcoming. The food was delicious, fast and prices were reasonable.

I really enjoyed my short stay. The train runs close but I could not hear inside my room. I had drinks at the bar but I did not eat at the restaurant because it was a bit quieter than what I was looking for.
The staff was very pleasant and even recommended an excellent local establishment.

The staff here at the Pensacola Grand made the fact that I was there on business all the more bearable. Upon check-in, even though I got there early, they acknowledged my platinum status, upgraded my room and allowed me to go into my room.
The staff was quite friendly and the upgraded rooms on the 15th floor were amazing (spiral staircase and all).

Our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel design is very clever; the modern tower provides the spacious and comfprtable room accomadation of a modern urban hotel and is connected to the elegant landmark building for the public spaces. We used the dining room principally for breakfasts which were excellent and served in a space with a very pleasant ambiance which was conducive to our group of six couples having leisurely conversations. The dining room staff were outstanding- hospitable, competent and patient. By the end of our stay they were like old friends.

As a Holiday Inn property, I have to say my expectations were pretty low, but this place is pretty good. We were there for a military reunion and the hotel did a wonderful job accommodating about 250 60 somethings for five days.
The staff was outstanding, especially the one hostess in the restaurant every morning who always greeted us with a smile and worked her buns off to be sure we got a great start to the day--sorry I didn't get her name.
The one constructive criticism I have is about the free Wi-Fi. During the day and evening, it is r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w. But it's free, unlike some of the upscale chains who still charge for what's become a business necessity.
Also, this isn't the most centrally located hotel, so if that's what you want, look at other properties.
FYI, if you stay there, you owe it to yourself to walk about two blocks to McGuire's Irish Pub. It's a landmark and I'm told has gotten awards for the food for many years. I had the steak and mushroom pie and would go back in a heartbeat for it again.

Decent place except it is literally within a few feet from an active train track. Train came through early every morning we were there, sounding like it was running right through our 7th floor room plus the top-off of about a dozen whistle blasts crossing through the intersection beside the hotel. Worsening this problem the hotel seems to have poor soundproofing. Laying in bed it's easy to hear conversation in another room, sounds like it's coming from room above. Might be ok if you are an extremely sound sleeper or enjoy eavesdropping...and trains.

My fiance (well husband now) and I stayed at the hotel the night before our wedding because our wedding was being held at the hotel. They put us on opposite ends of the hallway so that we could avoid seeing each other. The rooms were very comfy and spacious! The staff at the front desk is always thoughtful and a pleasure to speak with. They even provided me with extra keys so that my bridesmaids could come up in the morning. The only thing that was not taken care of or a lack of communication was the transferrence of our items into our honeymoon suite, but we eventually got it worked out.

I expected to be a;ble to use my Ipad in your hotel. I was not able to get a connection which caused me some issue.
The breakfast buffet was cold. I elected to only use the resturand one time and ate outside the hotel due to the poor quality of the buffet breakfast.
I would not recommend the hotel as i feel the quality did not match the expense.

The whole issue with the trains coming through and blowing the horn three different times after midnight has convinced me to not stay here again. Beautiful room and staff at front desk was great but, no way will I sacrifice restful sleep for the location.
For some reason, they scheduled four (4) bartenders for the night we stayed there due to the concert at the Bay Center...sounded like they thought the crowd was going to be big. I was unimpressed with the service to say the least. In addition, they have little pamphlets advertising speciality drinks...two of the specifically made with mint. So, I ordered one of those drinks to be told by one of the bartenders that, "the fresh mint didn't look so fresh"...huh? How is it you are not prepared?????

Overall my experience was great. The Staff was very accomodating. I received a free upgrade to a 14th Floor Suite overlooking Pensacola Bay. The weather was good, too.

Very satisfied with the room and and overall accomodations. The staff was great and the free beer for Priority CLub Members made it even better.
Our only complaint was the hot water in the shower. It never rose to level of "luke warm." My lady friend took a cold shower but I couldn't handle it. This deficiency was mentioned to the hotel staff at checkout.

A nice hotel, including the restored train station for lobby, restaurant and meeting rooms. The guest tower is nice, but note that the train s still run and the whistles blows occasionally. The air-conditioning system needs some work and better maintenance, as the air filter in my room was almost clogged dirty. The staff is excellent and gracious. A good experience, and with some mechanical upgrades, could be excellent.

The room was very nice and clean. However, throughout the whole night, and into the morning, we could hear the guests staying in the room next to ours very well. It seemed like they were in the same room as us. Their conversation started around 3:30am and didn't finish until maybe 5am. Then they woke up around 9am and continued their conversation like no time had passed.
Also, there was another guest that was listening to opera music. It sounded like it was being played in our room. It seemed like maybe it was coming from a room below us, but I am not positive.
For the price of the room, it would've been nice to have a decent night of sleep.

My 3 day stay during the Jimmy Buffet concert was made simply perfect by chosing the Crowne Plaza. This lovely, charming hotel has so much interesting history and is situated close to everything within walking distance of downtown Pensacola. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel check-in is performed by gracious, accommodating personnel.
The Crowne Plaza has been my choice of stay since 2008 when I became a parent of an undergraduate student at the University of West Florida - it has never disappointed my family and I encourage everyone to visit and take advantage of relaxing in their great, glorious lounge!

I live about 40 miles away, so staying at the Crowne Plaza next to the Pensacola concert hall is great. The room was perfect with a great view of the water, the old part of town and the concert hall across the street. Parking was a breeze and it was an easy walk to and from the concert. While everyone else was fighting traffic we were enjoying a pre-concert beer in the bar, and while everyone else was fighting traffic, we were lounging in our room. Our only problems were that there was no refrigerator in the room and that our safe was broken and couldn't be fixed.

My husband and I were in town to see his former student sing the lead role in a Pensacola Opera production. The location was perfect for the performance at the Saenger Theatre as well as within walking distance of numerous sights. The staff provided incredible service (always with a big smile!). Our room was extremely quiet which is, more often than not, the case. We especially enjoyed the welcoming ambience of the bar since we arrived slightly before midnight after a long trip across the U.S. We were also pleased with the historic significance of the site.

The hotel was a great experience: decor in keeping with the art deco period; staff very friendly; the lounge and food served there was excellent; and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for the concert that we attended (BB King). Plus had the pleasure of visiting with some of his band members in the lounge. Having a late check out time was very nice and fit our travel plans perfectly!
