We spent 2 nights at the hotel and were very happy with the accomodations. It was convenient to family and there were not many hotels in the area. I thought the price was a little high for Pittsburgh after recently paying less per night at a Staybridge Suite in Naples, FL. Great location across from the South Hills Village Mall, close to restaurants, free parking. We had a standard Queen room which was clean and comfortable, although a little small. When using the desk chair, there is no room to walk between the chair and the bed. Free Wifi and USA today newspaper. Nice bathroom amenties such as a lighted make up mirror, thick towels, shampoo and conditioner, coffee maker and nightlight. Fitness center on site and free coffee all day. Pool and tiki bar. Restaurant on site was good, but a little pricey for coffee and breakfast. There is a Eat n Park across the street at the Mall for a better breakfast value. The 8th floor was a quiet floor with a sign about no children and maid service beginning at 10 am. However, on Friday morning the maid was cleaning rooms before 10 am and took the "quiet" sign off the wall and put it in the floor. Thursday's room cleaning was late in the day and when I tried to enter to room, the maid had it locked from the inside and I couldn't get it with my key -- found that odd. Nice, comfortable lobby area with a lot of seating.

Traveling for about 4 hours from Washington, D.C. to Pittsburgh, my family and I were really tired. When we got to the hotel the staff were courteous and the rooms were ready. The rooms were clean and an accommodating. We really enjoyed the atmosphere.

This hotel was a great value. It is across the street from a mall and close to eateries. The trip to downtown Pittsburgh was not far, but it took a long time since there is no quick route there. Free parking is a plus. The beds were comfortable. Overall very satisfied with the stay.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. Moderately priced for a suite. Suite is spacious and very comfortable. Loved the gas fireplace and Jacuzzi tub (although I have found that the 1 bedroom Jacuzzi suites are really cramped compared to the one room suites without a separate bedroom on the 8th floor.) WiFi was great to have. More than adequate exercise room and also free temporary membership at a local gym were great perks. I will stay here again when I return to Pittsburgh.

There isn't much to compare against in the area, but that being said, this hotel offers up noticeably good service -- friendly, helpful and personal -- well appointed rooms and overall solid value. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again on my next trip to south Pittsburgh.

Overall , it's a great hotel south of Pitts. Plenty of restaurants around, although it has its own restaurant which is great for breakfast (a little bit on the expensive side), next to a mall if you want to walk around after work. Next room had a dog and it made noises all night, not too loud but enough to keep me awake. Not sure if they only have dogs on the same floor... Yes, I would stay there again

When making reservation, had requested lower floor room. When checking in, staff said they had no such request and could not provide me lower floor. Room not as clean as our home. Shower head sprayed over curtain, getting our bath towels all wet.

Lisa is always friendly and anticipates my needs. I am a returning guest and Lisa does her best to keep me and my therapy dog booked into the same room whenever she can accomodate it, which greatly reduces the stress of being a frequent traveler.

We stayed at the hotel Memorial Day weekend for a wedding and were in Room 220, with my Dad in Room 219, which were adjoining (as was 221). We could hear EVERYTHING that the neighbors said as well as my Dad's TV, which was at normal volume. We left the fan on the entire time we were there so we wouldn't be heard by others. Very bad set-up. Also, the disco was in full swing on Sat. night & it was right below us. Thank god we got in late & were exhausted, otherwise, it would have been impossible to sleep. I will say that the bed and pillows and towels were wonderful.

Loved the location across the street from the mall, plenty of parking, shopping and eating opportunities in the area which was wonderful. The room was nice and modernly updated, nice sized bathroom and reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Room was clean and comfortable. Amenities average. We spent thousands on our mattress at home but liked your bed better. Great night sleep. Staff friendly and accommodating but unable to fill a request for a room on a lower floor. Would stay here again.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed/beding, contemporary and pleasant decor with large flat screen tv, nice little touches like the aromatherapy relaxation kit. Free room wifi, parking, and coffee bar in lobby. I was nervous there may be pet odors or pet cleaner scents since it is pet friendly, there absolutely NO signs of animal smells whatsoever. There was a red spot on the duvet, but honestly I don't think I've ever stayed at any hotel (regardless of how many stars) that did not have some form of spot on either their duvet or sheets. The in-room coffee maker's water chamber was dusty so check yours out before pouring water in it. Bathroom and shower were remarkably clean. Overall, though, good value. Literally every other room but ours had a USA Today outside their room in the morning, so I'm guessing this was part of the Priority Club Members program that we did not sign up for? Pool was not opened yet (we were there mid-May), but we would have enjoyed this with their little patio area with tables and chairs during the summer time. Quick and easy check in and out. We would recommend to anyone!

Room was very comfortable, meeting room was comfortable, staff for meeting room were very nice and lunch was great. I stayed 5 days and had supper every night at the hotel, price was reasonable and food wonderful.
I would like to thank the hotel staff for a great stay and a special thanks to Courtney, as she checked with me everyday on our company meetings and my stay.
Would recommend this hotel if you are in the Pittsburgh area.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza was a pleasant surprise ! the service was outstanding.. from the front desk staff to the friendly female bartender in the Lounge. The coffee was really good..the food in the lounge was delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers..or for a family like mine...

My husband and I simply wanted a place to stay for one evening locally where we could relax and spend some quality time together (away from work, kids, responsibilities)! Our check-in was extremely quick and easy. All employees greeted us with enthusiasm and kindness (even though it was later at night). We walked into our room to find it clean, accommodating and had everything we needed to make it enjoyable. We had booked the Rivers Casino package - which included a King room with jacuzzi tub and fireplace + $15 of slot money at the casino. I had no trouble at all redeeming the slot money at the casino. The whole experience was enjoyable and I will certainly stay there again in the future!

First time at this property. It was located nearby to where I needed to be the following morning. Super easy to find. Check in smooth and easy. Room was perfect. Clean and comfortable. I had a corner room with a ton of windows, which I love. The room was adjacent to the ice machine/pop machine. I didn't hear either one.
Parking free. Wi-Fi was complimentary (not sure to due status or not).
I highly recommend this property!

Was in Pittsburgh attending NCAA Hockey tournament. Hotel was sold out! Arrived Thursday and many people wanted to check in early. Hotel was short on cleaning staff and no rooms were ready early. Despite some disgruntled guests, the front desk staff was extremely patient and did their best to help arriving guests understand the situation. Still unable to check in early. Arrived back at hotel late Thursday night and checked in. When I opened the door to my assigned room, there was already someone sleeping in the room. Went back down to the front desk and the attendant on duty advised there were only single rooms available and myself and my traveling companion could be put in separate rooms for the night. I was then assigned a handicapped room which turned out had two beds in it but the clerk was not aware of that. I called down to the front desk and advised the clerk that there were two beds so he then sent my friend up to the room. This gentleman had no idea what was happening. The following morning there was a message from the front desk advising that they were again moving myself and my friend to another room. I could either come down to the lobby or someone would bring up the keys for the third room that had been assigned. When I left the hotel for the day, I mentioned the previous nights incident about someone already being in the room and the gentleman at the desk said "well unfortunately, that sometimes happens." I was a little taken aback by that statement. If it happens that often, someone needs to be retrained. Upon arriving back at the hotel on Friday night, our keys for our third assigned room did not work. I had the good fortune to speak with Lisa, the hotel manager and explained everything that had happened to us so far during our stay. She was very very apologetic and resolved our problems to our satisfaction. I would say that the overall treatment by the staff was great with the exception of the two gentlemen who were not very knowledgable. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Parking was great and the location to public transportation was great. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Pittsburgh and are looking forward to a return trip. I am a Priority Club member but was never acknowledged on that. Special thanks to Laura, Laura and Lisa. They made the trip worth while. Will have to think twice about returning to this hotel.

Was there for a convention in April and everything went terrific. My room was great, quiet, and the ammenities were good. I really have no complaints. Would stay there again.

Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Bath soaps were nice, and the bathroom had a magnifying mirror. Buffet breakfast in the dining room had a nice variety of food and was good.

The Crowne is in a excellent location, service always good. The rooms could be more comfy, but always clean. For the price, I think the rooms could have more amenities. Plus, the overall price is high, I mainly stay their for location, and clean. The service is always great, but once again, pricey. So far, I don't feel anymore special as a Priority Club member.
