Very disappointed. Never received recognition for being a Platinum member. Profile asks for a high floor away from elevator king and even after making the request directly to the women checking me in she was unable to accommodate my request. She was friendly however she never even checked to see if another room was available. I can't remember any Crowne not offering a water and free breakfast.

I asked, at reservation time, for a room near the pool,
that was granted............however, the pool is on the 2nd floor
my room #1213 was at least the farthest from the pool, the nexzt room would be air space and a long fall
I thought my room was at least worth coffee if not breakfast

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SharRoadWarrrior Always stay here while in Pittsfield!
The hotel is an excellent value for a Crowne Plaza, and is very well located Downtown.
The Front Desk staff is always helpful as well. Joe was particularly accommodating to me as I don't sleep well and like a top floor, end room,
The restaurant is also consistent, and while not "gourmet," has good specials and is very good for those of us who travel alone and don't like to go out at night once comfortable in the hotel!
Overall, a pleasant experience for the Berkshire Business Traveler!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dim Bulb Someone change the light bulbs
As others have stated, this hotel can do with some updating. Specifically the lights in the rooms and hallways are very dim. Bed linens were clean and fresh, room generally clean, carpets and rooms just feel old. Parking structure that you have to park in is under repair and a complete mess.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ms. Tee Staff is Horrible.....Expcted better from a Crowne Plaza
I expected a lot more from a Crowne Plaza Hotel. The parking garage seems that it is going to fall apart any minute. I booked on line and did not get any of the comforts that were chosen (room type, sleep comforts). The hotel staff was horrible. They were not helpful or considerate of my needs. The only good thing about this hotel was the restaurant/bar.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Pittsfield, Ma for one night with my 5 year old and we had a blast. We swam in the pool and had a relaxing nights sleep right off the pool. The room was very clean and up to date. Hotel within walking distance to great places to eat and fun spots. Love this hotel!!!

I stayed in the Crowne Plaza last week while my husband was a patient at Berkshire Medical Center. From the moderate rate, I was surprised to find an excellent hotel. Pool, hot tub, comfortable room, great food and very good service. I was so pleased that when the hospital kept him another day, I booked a second night.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mg23 Great Time Except for the Bar!!
I came to stay here for a wedding and everything was beautiful! The wedding coordinator did a fantastic job planning everything and making sure everything was perfect for this special day! There was a special plan for the wedding party so that after the wedding ended around 11, the bar would be open until 2am (MA state law) everything seemed great and everyone was hanging out at the bar having a good time until the groom went to get a drink around 11:45 and the RUDE bartender threw her hand up in his face and said "WE'RE CLOSED" and walked away. This bartender's name was Jen and I would never recommend anyone to that bar as long as she works there. She was the most rude bartender I have ever come in contact with...especially to a bride and groom!! When we went to tell someone that we were told in writing that the bar would be open until 2am, no one could be bothered helping us at all!! TERRIBLE night crew! If you ever stay here, make sure you don't need anything at night or no one will be willing to do anything to help you. I have mixed feelings on if I would tell anyone to stay here because the room was great and the wedding was beautiful but the service after the coordinator left was AWFUL!! I just could not believe someone would treat a bride and groom so terribly on their special day, I would not recommend this place only because of the horrible service especially at the bar.

Music from a party two floors up was keeping us up! Called down to desk after everyone was in bed and we realized how disturbing the music was. Offered to move our room but it was too late. Kids already in bed and after 9:30 at night. Need to soundproof party rooms!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ACERMAN FRONT DEST & RESTAURANT
Grace, who works the front desk is absolutely incredible! Couldn't have been more helpful. Also one of the best hotel restaurants I have ever eaten in, excellent food and presentation. The biggest weakness for me as a pilot, and I'm sure for many of your other customers is the lack of outlets near the bed. I find this a problem with many hotel chains. The rooms are also kind of dated, beds were so so. I WOULD take a detour from the highway to eat there again for sure!

I didn't realize that a train track is about 2 blocks from the hotel. Thru out the evening every hour on the hour, a train would go thru town and blow its horn.
I am glad I was only there for 2 days.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Visitor in 2014 Disappointing
We have stayed at this hotel before and were very pleased. This time not so much. Our room was on the mezzanine floor, very uninviting and dark. Everything looked old. Obviously the cheap seats, although we paid the advertised charge. We paid for a king size bed, which was not what we got. We questioned the front desk, who after arguing with us, agreed to have the size of the bed confirmed - no follow up at all. Everything in the room was low, but it was not a handicap room. The window blinds were covered with a coating of dust, don't know when they were last cleaned and just glad neither of us has allergies! The mezzanine floor must be near a kitchen as each morning the odor of the cooking food permeated the corridor. And finally no sound proofing whatsoever between the rooms, the occupant of the room next to us rose early and talked on and on, which prevented us from sleeping in and was very annoying! If you must stay there do not stay on the mezzanine floor.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Missyhoy Never again!!!
I would not recommend this place to stay. We showed up on Friday afternoon between 3 and 4. We had a room on the second floor by the pool area. We had to carry our luggage up to the second floor. I have a bad back. We dealt with it. The room seemed to be very nice but a little out dated but once again we dealt with it. We tried to unwind and relax for a little while and watch some tv, which was very hard to do considering that the nose from the pool area was so loud we couldn't hear the tv you would think that they would have had sound proof doors and windows. We heard noise all day and all night.
So Friday night about 7:00 pm we get a call from the front desk, some truck hit my husband truck. That night was now gone having to stand outside for the police and paper work. Oh what a joy that was. Saturday we wanted to relax prior to going into town for dinner and a show (the reason why we were in Pittsfield) All day Saturday we could not enjoy the pool or Jacuzzi because there was on family of 20 people or so who took over the whole area. I do understand that there is no life guard but you would think that management would have walked through there establishment to see what was going on. Mean while we still not have heard from management about what they were going to do about my husbands truck. We go out for the night. Sunday morning we hear kids in the pool screaming and yelling at 7:30 am oh how fun that was, at 9:00 am house keeping was trying to get into our room, check out time is 12:00. What was there excuse on that one. So when we go to leave I ask for a copy of the report made for someone hitting my husbands truck. The girl at the desk said I don't have one and management is not here until 5:00 pm. also they tried to over charge us. You would have thought that management would have came to us to make sure everything was okay. NOT

Very pleasantly surprised by the Crowne Plaza. It is centrally located and the staff was efficient while the mattress and pillows gave us a great night's sleep.
Special kudos to the breakfast waitress staff, they worked really hard.

Scheduled a brief ski trip to the Berkshires with my young girls. We arrived at the hotel around 8:30 pm and after checking in had to find location of a cvs to buy children's Motrin. Front desk was helpful and we headed across the street. We were informed to park in the garage attached to hotel upon return. We parked on the lowest level, it was poorly lit and poorly marked to find steps to main lobby. No ticket was needed for entry which makes no sense as the ability was there to monitor access. Sometime during the night out car was broken into. Shame on me for leaving things covered in the car but thought it would be safe. In morning we started loading up and to much surprise my daughter starts crying that her gifts from Santa had been stolen. I immediately walked into front desk mad to my disbelief we filled out an incident report but there was zero compassion, though I was told the GM is a caring man he is yet to contact us yet. After further review of car we realized that my ski jacket, pants, car chargers, dunkin donuts gift books and all loose change was taken. While everything can be replaced for around $1000 it confuses me that the management of hotel could care less. Now we are visiting Pittsfield Police department to finalize report with zero assistance from hotel. Entire situation is very questionable and I would recommend not staying at this hotel if you care about your belongings.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CatIV Heated pool - Nice weekend getaway with the kids
My family was traveling to visit a dog breeder and decide to make weekend out of it. Since I have three young kids the heated pool was an attractive. Of course, heated pools mean different things to different people (does not have floating ice vs. like a lukewarm bath). Fortunately for us the pool was actually warm and the family enjoyed it. Facility was comfortable and clean and the staff was helpful.

It was a freezing windy night in the Berkshires and I was glad to have a short walk to a great dinner with friends at Patrick's Pub across the street. Our neighbors were a bit rude with much door slamming late night. All in all the stay was fine with comfy beds and a neat room. The parking was free but the garage is still under repair.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bluejay63 Everything good except bar and restaurant staffing levels and free wifi
The service people in the restaurant and bar were great, but there were way to few of them, making for many unpleasant experiences.
The manager in charge of staffing levels totally screwed up since it was no secret the hotel was going to be full for our convention.
The "free" wi-fi was the most annoying perk I have ever encountered at a hotel. Whenever the computer was inactive (sleep) for a few minutes, the guest had to log-on with a hard to read and remember lengthy password. Then endure some lengthy and boring ads each time. Next time I'll stay somewhere I can pay for wi-fi.
Most other aspects of this property were very good or excellent, but I won't be back.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bluejay63 worst service possible in bar and restaurant because of understaffing
Hotel would have been great except for two glaring weaknesses:
Bar and restaurant were grossly understaffed on every time I visited, at least 6 times. It shouldn't been a surprise that the hotel was full, and mostly because of our convention- the model Expo. The staff that were on duty, the bartender and the one or two servers, did a great job trying to keep up, there were just too many customers. The ones in our group that had cars went elsewhere. At least one more bartender and a minimum of 2 or 3 more servers should have been on duty from 5pm to closing each of the 3 nights. Again, the sales dept was advised we would have a large number of socializers each evening.
The most annoying perk of all was your free wifi. I will never stay at another Crowne Plaza because of it. Every time my computer would sleep (after a few minutes pause), I was required to log-in again using a long and hard-to-read password, and then endure a series of boring and annoying pop-up ads.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dojan53 Too little for too much
My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza was somewhat disappointing considering the price I paid for the room. When checking in the desk staff was efficient but not overly welcoming and lacked any form of friendly smile. Once checked in I was directed to the parking lot but no mention of the construction being done in the garage or alternate parking spots in the event the somewhat limited space garage was full. I finally got a spot after several circles around the garage when someone finally left. Thank goodness there was no fee for that.
The room had two double beds with little room for anything else. No fridge, microwave, just a little coffee pot. I was on the 4th floor and had to go down to the "M" floor for ice. That was the only spot to get ice, even if you were on the 12th floor as far as I could see.
The one and only meal I had in the hotel restaurant was a beer and a clubhouse. The beer was warm and club house was borderline cold. For the price, a very disappointing meal. We went elsewhere for the rest of our meals. For the price you would think there might be complimentary coffee for guests somewhere in the hotel, at least from 8-10 am. For $2.50 you can got a juice glass size paper cup of not so good coffee to go from the restaurant. Even the cheapest chain motels provide their guests free coffee in the morning.
So, would I stay there again, no. There are plenty of other very nice motels in the area that are much less expensive and provide as good if not better service and amenities.
