We were scheduled for three night stay, only stayed one night! Our room was an "upgrade", on the freeway, the noise level made it impossible to sleep! We we're not informed of that problem. The staff were very nice and did try to compensate. The room was dated and tacky with broken lamp shades, etc. We were told by other guests that nicer rooms were available!!! After one night we checked out and went to a hotel downtown where we have stayed , for years. Live and learn, stay with tried and true. The surrounding area is industrial and doesn't appear to be very safe.. Would not go back!

Excellent staff with comfortable room and good location. Bar staff and room service go out of their way to see that guests needs are met. Short walk from the Portland convention center.

This was our first stay at this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful - even when our toilet clogged at 1am. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Room service was tasty and quite affordable, as was the hotel restaurant. Pretty much every need we had was met with flying colors :)

We have never been to Portland before and was just trying to get a place close to the Convention Center. We were very surprised at how great our experience was from the time we arrived to the time we left. The hotel was clean and neat. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We were comfortable and truly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely stay here again and we do recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at this location as it was close to the Rose Center where we were attending a concert. The van not only picked us up and returned us to the train station they also took us to the concert and also to a restaurant we had on our bucket list and picked us up after dinner.

This was my second stay at the hotel. All the staff (door, housekeeping, desk, restaurant and bar) were friendly and the desk staff were helpful removing a charge from my bill. WiFi was flawless. The room was clean, quiet and fresh-smelling as was the entire facility. I enjoyed the bar and breakfast. The coffee was actually good. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in downtown Portland.

When we visit Portland it's pleasure-we are retired. So the Crowne Plaza is centrally located, convienent and nice! Staff is ALWAYS on hand to help, and are always courteous. We have stayed there several times and prefer this hotel over the others that are in the area.

Room was always clean and never forgot to refill anything. Bed and pillows were awesome! The extra clip for drapes was a nice touch. Slept better than I have in weeks!
Resturant food and service were outstanding!

I really enjoyed my two night stay at this property. The bed was extremely comfortable. I felt very safe here, with the elevator requiring a room key to activate. I was there for a two day seminar; the bathrooms, refeshments and the multiple rooms used were confortable and in close proximity to one another.

I would like to thank the amazing staff at this particular hotel location. I stayed over the weekend just before new years eve to attend a convention and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained with all the amenities I could hope for. I have been to many anime conventions over the years and finding a hotel that can not only accomadate us but even enhance the experience with such great service that went above and beyond is rare. Everyone was very courteous and didn't hesitate to help us at every turn and I will be the first to admit we can be a dificult crowd at times. So once again thank you for the great weekend.

Booked for 2 nights then had to cut back to one night because of my daughter's school schedule. They refused to refund the last night, so I paid twice what I should have for a lousy regular old motel room.
Also, I talked to at least a half dozen different people at the Portland property and the headquarters. Each one said the same thing: I don't have the authority to grant you a refund, but let me tell you who does. The next person said the same thing. Or the next person never answered the phone and never returned the call for a live conversation.
After several hours of this over several days, I'm vowing to never stay at any of the Holiday Inn properties again.

This hotel has been at the top of my list for a long time, but with the ridiculous $15 self park fee and the overall inflated prices(compared to othe CP properties) I will be staying elsewhere. Also the sheets did not fit the bed and half of the TV Chanel's were un-viewable.

My fiance and I spent over a week here visiting family and the staff met every accommodation we had. The staff was very friendly and our room was great. We didn't have a single disappointment the entire stay.

This hotel is an excellent value!!! The atmostphere, complete with fruited water in the lobby, is very inviting. They have an extremely accomodating staff. They gave us a free shuttle ride to the concert we were attending at the Wonder Ballroom. When we arrived back to the restaurant/bar in the lobby late after the concert the waiter graciously allowed us to order an extremely large amount of food and it was all delicious. Despite the late hour he was accomodating and patient. The front desk person was able to give me concise directions to an easy walk to Lloyd Center. The view of the Rose Garden from our room was great and even more faulous was the extra touch of the drape clip which allowed us to not be kept awake/woken up early........bright outside lights seem to plague usat hotels and this was such a simple solution! The keurig coffee machine in our room even had Sleeptime Tea for bedtime! They had all the details covered.

The staff was so nice from the time I checked in till I checked out. My room was very nice and clean. Thanks for having a very comfortable bed, I slept as if I was at home. The location was great for my visit to Portland.

Great service as always. I had a problem with my room when I first showed up and got it taken care of very quickly. Front desk staff was very helpful and parking attendants were extremely friendly and helpful.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a real feeling of "glad your here"! The atmosphere of welcome turned our tired shrugs into happy smiles. The staff encouraged locations within shuttle distance to enhance our visiting Portland trip. It certainly made us want to return to the area but more specifically, to Crowne Plaza. Thank you!!

Comfortable beds, nicely appointed bathroom. Loved the individual coffee and tea maker. Staff attentive to our needs. Breakfast spendy but well stocked and varied for a buffet. Good service too. A little off the beaten path but still handy to the convention center if you have a car.

Everyone from drivers, front desk people, restaurant servers...couldn't have asked for anything better. We felt very taken care of and so enjoyed our time. Thank you. We are even considering coming from WA to Portland for the next Women of Faith Conference just because of the way were treated at your hotel. Also, I want to take my husband down there with me for a get-away. My sister who never sleeps in at home beyond about 7 am slept so soundly she didn't wake up until 10 am. She really enjoyed her rest.

I had 2 rooms for one night over the weekend of October 5, 2012. Our problems were with the first room. When I made the reservations for this room, I was told it was a 1 bedroom suite with a kitchenette and a fold out couch in a living area. To me this says it has a bedroom, and a small kitchen. It had neither. The couch and bed were all in the same room. The kitchenette was a mini fridge and a microwave. I was so disappointed. I called down immediately to say I thought we had the wrong room. It took about 45 minutes of standing in the hall by that room before someone finally came up to take us to another room. That room looked just the same. I was told that these rooms were the one bedroom suites. There were three of us and a baby. We really were counting on a bedroom where we could have the baby nap during the day. Also, as a priority club member, or because we had booked a King Executive room, we were promise bottled water and robes. Neither were in the room. On top of this, I was overcharged for this room. I had the paperwork at home, so I called the next day. I was told the computer automatically charged me the going rate, and not the rate when I booked the room. This is unacceptable! All in all we had a very poor experience! (And, I usually love the Crowne Plaza!)
