Crown Plaza Redondo Beach

The room was always clean and ready for me at the end of the day. The aromatherapy kit was helpful in my adjustment to the time zones change. The grounds and facilities were clean and litter free. If I am to return to the LAX area for business or pleasure, I will strongly consider staying at this hotel again.

Great location and amazing views

Overall a wonderful experience. The blow dryer kept overheating so it took me about 20 minutes longer to get ready in the morning. I missed my opportunity for breakfast. When I asked the concierge where the gym in the hotel was...I was ignored for about 2 minutes. I repeated my question twice. The two men finally said it is behind the potted plant right there and it isn't really a gym. He was right. It was a couple of machines. The interior was a little rough. There wasn't a thermostat to control the temperature and it was boiling hot inside. Not a pleasant experience in my books, but it was only one night, so I skipped my workout.

Great Stay!

The Front Office Asst Mgr Virginia was GREAT! She is absolutely an asset to this property and IHG. She was the consummate professional by being knowledgeable and informative. Having worked the Front Office myself, her being personable in her warm and caring nature was an absolutely pleasant surprise and refreshing in such a hectic role. It gave us a great start to our stay.

Poor Service

Not sure why but for some reason the nicer the change in the IHG, the poorer the service. Would expect if you spend more for a room and the amenities, the better the service, but not so with this Crowne Plaza or the Intercontinental Hotels.

The staff acted like they has something better to do then taking care of my family and me being there was a burden.

For some reason the IHG system shows my comments as four star, this hotel at best we 2.5 stars.
