Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by noisy floor would have liked a less noisy floor. Rooms on my floor were filled with Prom Nite students and there was much room visiting, doors slamming and loud greetings in the hallways. May 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location We loved being able to walk to the canal and river trails and found plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. Room was very nice and we enjoyed the whirpool in the evening. Only drawback was the fire alarms caused by a sprinkler problem. May 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Our stay at the Crowne Plaza this trip was for a 10K in Richmond. We used the shuttle van several times and I wanted to specifically mention Mr. Train who dropped us at the start and picked us up promptly at the end. Train was so super friendly and fun to spend a few moments with. He recommended other sites for us to see, took a lot of time with us and we appreciated him very much. That particular evening the fire alarm went off twice. Once it was just getting over when we returned from dinner and then went off again several hours later as we were just falling asleep. This of course necessitated heading down the ten flights of stairs just to find out that it was all clear and head back up. Everyone in our stairwell took it in stride, safety is the most important thing. We were told it was all due to a drop in water pressure that automatically sets the alarm off. The hotel had many high school students and their sponsors in town for some kind of Science Fair at the Convention Center. The next morning our most delicious breakfast was covered by the hotel as a way of compensating everyone for the "extra exercise". Not necessary, but gratefully appreciated. So, on a scale of 1-10 for customer service, I would stretch the scale to 12! May 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location The Crowne is recently updated with all the amenities you would expect. The staff was very friendly and accomodating during my recent 2-week stay. There are a few minor details such as parking ticket validation vs. simply swiping your room key when entering/exiting the parking lot, but the management is aware and actively working towards a solution. Overall, a great stay. May 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by no complaints I went for a weekend getaway. I was a little skeptical and I almost canceled my reservation because of all of the negative reviews that I read. I decided to just give it a chance and go for it. I am glad that i did! I had a wonderful experience! Everything was just as it was online. The staff was wonderful, the bartender was very helpful and friendly. Our room was restocked each day and the breakfast was good. Our room was quit comfortable and the view was gorgeous. When we first arrived there was someone there to take our things to our room and he even hung up my jackets. There wasn't too much noise even with a prom going on. Everything is very close to the hotel and parking is by day so you can enter and exist as you wish. My only complaint is that the water takes some time to get hot but that's minor. I will definitely be coming back to stay here again! May 6, 2013
