Friendly staff and great breakfast

I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza downtown Richmond over a couple of very cold February nights. From check in to check out I was always given great customer service from a very friendly staff. The room was comfortable and felt masculine with browns and beiges and hints of Richmond's history told through artwork. The breakfast buffet each morning was fantastic. I found the fitness room and pool to be on the small side but was able to workout, nonetheless. Although several others would enter and turn away after seeing all machines being used. The remote control in my room seemed antiquated and could be upgraded. The location of the hotel seemed odd to me and it was sometimes confusing coming and going. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Convenient location

Close to Love Rox race start/finish. Quality of food in hotel restaurant was very good, but double check your bill before you pay it. Other guests were very loud which impacted sleep before a race.
