We have stayed at this Crowne Plaza many times in RIchmond and are usually very happy with the facility and the staff. Our room was not ready for check in when we arrived, and we were assigned to a room on a lower floor. We were not greeted as priority club Platinum members and our keys had to be re-keyed twice for the concierge level. The first night we realized the pillows were way too firm for us to sleep. We contacted the front desk the next morning since no one answered in housekeeping. We requested two standard size pillows and were told that they had to speak to a manager. Well, we never heard a word back. We found a housekeeping staff member in the hallway and asked her to assist us (Miss Pat) and she went to get the pillows and brought them to our room. Very disappointed with the staff and service on this stay.

On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the rooms were modern and clean.

The downside was the front desk staff. There were either unwilling or unable to process some basic mandatory functions regarding check in and billing. Dealing with the front desk seemed slow and clunky. The front desk staff were friendly but that was about all I can say for them.

I would like to apologize that you would have to experience any area of our building that was not comfortable much less multiple areas. I have called our contractor onto the property to conduct a complete review of these areas and to correct today. Again thank you for your feedback.
