Clean and comfortable room. very helpful English speaking staffs. Superb location. nice atmosphere and ambiance.
I traveled with my 2.5year old son, and he liked the place a lot. Only negative thing i can say about is the room size was bit small for a family, rest was really good for us.

One of the best all-round stays we have had in ages. Receptionists were friendly and helpful- nothing was a bother. The porter was extremely helpful. It being our anniversary, our room was upgraded to a junior suite, which was very nice, and the free wi-fi was important to us.
Breakfast was very good. We dined twice in the Pitter Keller and on both occasions, the food and service was good. The bar was pleasant to relax in and, for my wife, the fact that she could smoke there, and not have to stand out in the snow, was a bonus.
I had a sauna and swim in the small pool and enjoyed both.
The 20 minute walk to the town centre was as long as we would want, but buses stopped very close to the hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DG2013 Great service
We had a lovely stay in Salzburg and Crown Plaza Hotel, even tho the weather could have been better. The room was lovely and the staff was very friendly. We even got to stay in our room for 2 extra hours on our departure day without paying extra (which we would have). There is a very good restaurant and a very nice bar (just a shame you are allowed to smoke in the bar).
Breakfast was very nice. Only minus was that the toilet was seperate from the bathroom (strange).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Schuey 3 Night stay in January 2013. Superior Room
We stayed in mid January 2013 and enjoyed it. The room was spacious, decor and tv dated but comfortable. We did struggle to get the heating working decently but once we did it was fine. Bathroom was refurbished and extremely nice. Right up with an Intercontinental suite. Room was quiet but we were sure someone was smoking outside the room at various times even though it was a non smoking floor. Wireless worked well.
Breakfast was very comprehensive, hot and cold and good variety. Bed was comfortable and room was a good size. Reception and housekeeping were very helpful. Location was excellent. Mid way between the old town and the railway station and central shops. Easy walking distance and close to buses. 5 minutes by taxi to the railway station or you could walk.
One thing to remember is to ask where your taxi might pick you up. There's limited areas for taxis.
The biggest gripe would be that they allow smoking inside and the front bar/restaurant reeks of smoke. A definite health hazard from passive smoking and why I didn't rate atmosphere higher. Amazing in this age that it's still allowed. Definitely a European thing. Other than that, no complaints.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by StEw80 Gute Rezeption, Gute Lage, Zimmer unzureichend

Me and my wife Ana Paula, we are grateful for the kindness, smiles, professionalism of the staff at the Crown Hotel. Definitely a great experience in the 5 days we were up to you, from 28 December 2012 to 02 January 2013. All right good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MaxIakov Good hotel, but bit outdated.
Spent with my wife and son 10 years old in this hotel two nights during the last Advent 2012. Good hotel with very reasonable for Salzburg prices, situated close to all - Mirabell Garden, Old Town, Central Train station. Clean rooms, but a bit outdated interiors.
Staff is very helpful, as a Platinum member of Priority Club I was upgraded to Junior Suite and received the voucher for free wi-fi internet access for all days of my stay (a good present, because internet in hotel is pricey).
Hotel has a well-maintained spa (sauna and steam room and a small pool - all free for the hotel guests, open from early morning till late evening) which was very pleasant addition to all-day walks and excursions.
I frequent visit Salzburg during the summer festival. I think I'll stay at Crowne Plaza Pitter next August.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Skisuzie Great Hotel
We stayed here for one night following our skiing holiday in the Alps. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable with lots of extras, bathrobes, coffee making facilities, toiletries, pillow spray etc. It is in an excellent location, approx 10 mins walk to the old town area. Would also recommend the pitter restaurant, casual dining, authentic atmosphere, good value. Have stayed in other more expensive hotels in Salzburg which do not match this one for quality and service. Highly recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marti95 Safe harbor in a storm
Upon arriving in Salzburg, in the dark, with the snow coming down, the Pitter was a warm and welcoming refuge. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was large and inviting. The location provides a short walk to the main part of Salzburg without the crowds. I highly recommend this to travelers in this area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrDon Great hotel and helpfull staff
My wife and I stayed in this Hotel in November 2012. The hotel is in a good location, the staff were excellend, and the ambiance was relaxed and chilled.
We had an excellend time there and would stay there again. We also joined the executive club. This is free to do and gets you free wifi among other things.
I'd also recommend eating in the cocktail bar as my wife and I stopped in there for a drink and a snack one night and it was excellent.
All in all it was a great place to stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by johnf Perfect location, great service
Upon checking in Martina greeted us with a smile and recognition of being a Platinum member. She started our stay on a very positive note. Helped us throughout our stay and answered any questions we had. When we asked for softer pillows we had them within the hour. Although we were upgraded to a suite our traveling companions room which was a superior room was all you needed. Our suite much roomier was not in a suite category as it was kind of plain and not decorated as a suite. But our beds were very comfy and room/bathroom spotless. The location was practically city center so it was really easy to get around. Close to many restaurants and walking distance to the center of town. Dinner at the hotel dining room the Peter Keller was very good. I would recommend this hotel on the staff and location. It really made our time in Salzburg much nicer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Schlumpfberger Overnight in rainy Salzburg at Crown Plaza - The Pitter
Due to business reasons I had to consider one stay overnight in Salzburg 2 weeks ahead. As Priority Club Member I chose Crown Plaze - The Pitter, by luck very close to my meeting.
Taking into consideration the bad situation to park the car on street, the special parking lane - beside the hotel, to load/unload your baggage is an exellent idea, the garage, appx. 5 minutes walk is acceptable, at fair rates.
Receptionist very friendly, quick check-in, nice room, nice sauna area - especially very welcome on cold and rainy autumn days.
Breakfast buffet was nice, with good variety to choose.
Checkout fast and correct.
Overall - Recommendation!!! Will chose CP-The Pitter for my next stay in Salzburg as well

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by johnf Very nice stay, friendly staff...
This was our first time in Salzburg so we wanted to stay towards the city center. The Pitter a was perfect location. Upon checking in we were seen by Martina, she was excellent. Very nice, friendly, polite always smiling and helpful. Its always helps when you check in and your first impressions are excellent. Hopefully the management will read this. The lobby was ok with a sitting room off to the right and a bar opposite the entrance way. We did not eat at the hotel as breakfast was not included and we elected to eat a small meal early in the morning across the street at a very nice restaurant (Cup&Cino-recommended). Our room was upgraded to a suite as I am Platinum. Although it was large it was not really decorated as I think a suite would be. Kind of bare. Would rather have had breakfast instead of the upgrade as the couple we were with got a Superior room which was more than adequate. Large room with a sitting area, nice bathroom. The rooms were very clean throughout as was the hotel and the beds VERY comfortable. We asked Martina for different pillows as ours were kind of firm and they were in the room within minutes. Overall we had a great stay in Salzburg and would recommend the Pitter absolutely.
