Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Ill-Prepared for Large Area Event Booked hotel for a concert at Alamodome. Room was clean and comfortable. -Lots of crowds due to concert; this was not a fault of the hotel, however they were not prepared. - Rep that checked us in did not know anything about "Showtime Package" I had booked that included free drinks/chips/salsa. -Some of the elevators were not working for 2 days. -I called ahead of reservation to confirm availability of transportation to Alamodome and was assured it woul be there. Upon check-in, the agent said just call 5 minutes before we were ready. About 30 minutes later, I called for taxi and was told it would be at least an hour. After going downstairs, I found there were about 150 people trying to get a taxi. First come, first serve - and with no hotel staff coordination. I missed part of the concert due to miscommunications no the part of the hotel staff. -Upon returning to the hotel and ordering room service at 11:45 p.m., I was told "we are out of food." This seems absurd to me even if the hotel was sold out. And miraculously they were serving breakfast the next morning... -At checkin, I was given a coupon for free coffee in the gift shop. At checkout (approx 10 a.m.) the gift shop was closed and I was told I could not redeem the coffee coupon in the restaurant. June 10, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment I stood at the Crown Plaza Hotel from June 3rd to June 4th. I was very disappointed in the service and my room. The toilet had to be flushed several times in order to be used again, the shower took forever getting hot water and to go order service was awful. In the evening I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad and it took approximently an hour to get the order ready while I was waiting in the lobby. Also, when I received the salad with the dressing on the side, the Balasmic dressing was not put into a container with a lid, iit was poured into one of the compartments of the styrofoam box and eventually leaked out on my new dress and I have brown stains on my dress. I was so upset! What can you do to remedy this situation? Reimburse my credit card? Free night at any of your hotels in the USA? Barb G. June 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrating from the start From arrival we found nothing but frustration. Valet parking was full? What I did not understand was why the self park garage was not utilized by the valet staff. The self park was only a block away, and if the valet staff wanted the tips/fee I would think they could have worked this out. The room was supposed to be an executive level room, but with the peeling wall paper, no condiments with the coffee, and very little to distinguish the room I question the benefit of booking on the executive level. Only 3 of the 5 elevators were working. The interior of the elevators were scratched with names/initials carved into the panels. Yeah you are on the San Antonio river, but really about 5 blocks from the "river walk" proper. June 7, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elevators The only downfall I saw, was that out of 4 elevators, most of the time only two worked. Being in a conference, you have to hurry up and go to different areas and waiting for those elevators was a hassle. May 28, 2013
