The best way to rate a company is how problems are dealt with. I had multiple issues at check in and with my bill. I spoke to the manager, Russ, and he was more than willing to help fix my problems and make things right. I appreciated his help.

To be fair I did have 2 reservations for the same room type. One was with reward nights and the other through a convention rate.
I knew this would be a hassle and called to check and confirm the two reservations multiple times to ensure everything was ok.

The good:
The room was excellent. The bed was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself was very clean and had a great presentation.
We stayed in a room on the 31st floor and had access to the executive lounge. The breakfast items contained muffins, bagels, juices, coffee, pancakes, cereal, and fruit. At night they had pizza, hot snacks, cookies, and pop. The breakfast worked out very well and was a good start each morning.

The Bad:
The check-in process was a mess.
We arrived on a Monday night around 7:00pm. There were 6 people waiting to check in with 1 person running the desk. After 4 people had been helped a second person arrived to help with the check-in process. I had a problem getting the room type I had reserved and requested.
There were multiple issues with my rooms keys and it took 4 visits to the front desk before I got keys that worked. The entire process took an hour.

I then had a problem with my billing. It appears that my online reservation didn’t get sent to the hotel correctly. I am glad I could show my original reservation/confirmation page to the manager. Otherwise I could have been billed. I was also told this charge should have been explained to me at check in time which it wasn’t.

The manager Russ was excellent in assisting with this issue. He was more than fair and helped us get our room issues and billing issues resolved. My wife appreciated his help and it made up for the issues we had been experiencing.

We arranged transportation to the airport through the concierge’s desk. Our transportation didn’t show up. The bell desk was able to contact the company and get a new ride with only a slight delay. I would plan extra time if you try and use one of the hotels transportation companies.

Overall the hotel was very nice. The rooms were excellent. Some of my dealings with the staff didn’t go well but the manager did take ownership of my problem and helped me out. Russ was excellent to deal with and seemed troubled by my experience.

Friendly and accommodating staff

The staff is exceptional. I was accommodated early and they helped answer questions regarding Seattle and my stay. I was provided with firmer pillows because I always feel the pillows in hotels are too soft.

Great room

We had a great room in the 32nd floor with views of the water and the mountains, the people at the bar and restaurant are very friendly and attentive. The reception area people are also friendly and responsive. It was a fun and enjoyable.
