Hotel Highlights

For a super fast and fun airport transfer you can't beat the Maglev train. It appears to levitate, as if by magic, above its track as it hurtles the 30km from the airport to downtown Pudong in just 7 minutes. A taxi hop completes the journey to Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai.

Not so well equipped to support non-Chinese speaking guests

November 21, 2014

The hotel is in a good location. The room was comfortable, very clean and well presented.
The bar did not provide an ambient area to relax and unwind after a long days work. The selection of drinks was poor. Most of the bar staff were untrained in bar work. This was very disappointing.
For the most part staff were pleasant (staff member Merry was very welcoming and took time to chat to guests and find out about them, where they are from, etc). Their ability to communicate with English speaking guests was not to the standard one expects for staff in customer facing roles.
There were no English language magazines to browse through in the lobby/bar area. Lots of Chinese ones though.
If you're a non-Chinese speaking guest, looking for a functional hotel in a central location for an overnight stay then this is fine. It's not the best hotel for stays of more than 1 or 2 days.
