There is something special in at the Crown Plaza in Springfield. It is the location, the cleanliness and space is very comfortable. The real experience is the moment you enter into the Hotel you are greeted with staff that is welcoming and sincerely happy to see you. The front desk staff is exceptional, real geared toward service and wanting to make sure you are happy. And I am always happy to arrive and glad I stayed at the Crown in Springfield. The service matters.

Very good experience from friendly check-in procedure to leaving. Beds were very comfortable. Like the clean look of white linens for bed covers. Bathroom was more than spacious. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Springfield area.

The room was average, but the toilet had something wrong with it as it ran all the time unless wiggled the handle a couple of times. In the morning, then it did not work at all. I did not use room service. Food at the seminar I attended was good and service there was very good.

I had a wonderful time in Springfield on business. I arrived to the hotel to a welcoming staff. I was able to get such a variety of places to eat at.

We came to Springfield to have a "Lincoln Weekend" visiting many of the Abraham Lincoln sites. The hotel was located in a area within easy driving distance to most of these sites. The staff of the hotel were very accommodating with our request for adjoining rooms. The staff was very friendly. The hotel and rooms were very nicely decorated and, more importantly, clean.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. It was included in the price of our rooms and a great value. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to a friend.
Oh! The kids loved the pool on the 14th floor.

A great hotel with a great staff, but the property is getting tired and worn. Broken furniture in the room, old fixtures, feels out of date.
Surprised there was not all day restaurant service or at least cafe service.

I stay at this hotel 3 - 4 times a year. My stay in March was pretty much the same as it has been the past couple of years. But in April there appeared to be a few changes for the better. The sheets were softer and the pillows were substantially better than I remember them. I had two very comfortable nights' sleep. HOWEVER, the major negative that I didn't like is the change to DirectTV. I couldn't find any local news and weather and there is no longer access to Chicago stations such as Comcast Sportsnet and WGN. With the alrge number of Chicagoans that I know frequent this hotel, I would hope that they figure out a fix for this.
