Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by As you would expect - and then some I stay at hotels on a regular basis. This hotel's staff was very friendly and my room was comfortable and clean. I visited their bar for an hour and enjoyed it. I did not eat at their restaurant, visit their business/office area, swim in the pool, or even notice if they had a work-out area. I'd stay here again if I ever needed to be in the area. The hotel's shuttle to and from the airport was perfect - the driver at the time (Jeff) was pleasant. December 6, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Un-fit Fitness center The hotel needs to invest a little bit of money into it's fitness center. Even purchasing a Bow-Flex machine would be a step up. The equipment worked like it hadn't been tuned up EVER. Very uncomfortable and disappointing. December 5, 2012

The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very professional and helpful. The room I was in needed an outlet a little closer to the table for my laptop. The location is close to many restaurants and stores. I would recommend the Crowne Plaza Springfield to anyone traveling to the Capital City. December 2, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty bathroom I've stayed at this hotel a handful of times over the past 4 years and never had a problem. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous. My complaint is directed to the housekeeping team. I checked in on Friday 11/23, Nikki at the front desk was a delight. As you can see from the pictures I've taken, the bathtub/shower was full of mold. The clock in the room was an hour ahead which leads me to believe the mold in the bathtub/shower had been there for over a month due to the daylight savings being in October and the room not being booked since. Or that no one had changed the clock for a month which makes it worse knowing that housekeeping has missed that mold on their cleaning for the last month. I've also attached a picture of the vent above the shower which was quite a sight to see while washing my hair. The inside was covered in grime and dusty mold. I wish I had taken a better picture as this one doesn't do my claim much justice. The window looking out leads me to believe housekeeping doesn't wash the windows in the room either. I brought the mold issue up to the young man at the front desk the next morning while checking out, even showed him the picture I took. He was quite nonchalant about my complaint, thanked me for bringing it to his attention in a very condescending manner. Overall, I was pleased with the front desk night staff checking in but very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the front desk help checking out the next morning. I had just become a priority member that night which has me second guessing my decision to stay at these select hotels. November 25, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast and refreshments, room I wish there was a continental breakfast and open 24 hour coffee/snack shop. The coffee shop seemed to be closed more than it was open. I wanted hot tea throughout my stay, but there is none in the rooms, none anywhere in the hotel, and when in the conferences, the coffee and hot water for tea was taken away before most of us would have been finished drinking it. The room size was great. I noticed that the coffee pot and glasses & mugs were covered in a haze of dust. I had to clean them before I could use them. November 20, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice room Great value for the bluegrass festival-thank you. Our maidservice was above expectations. There was some difficulty with the escalator, which was being repaired. Since so many people were present & trying to use the elevators, we tried to use the steps. My concern was that we could not get out on certain floors from certain stairs & not out of the building from out end. We had a very enjoyed time. The hotel & room were very accomadating. We would certainly like to stay there again if we were in the area. Also, location is very convenient to many eating choices. November 18, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service The service by the staff was excellent. However, the whole stay was severely under staffed. Elevator service was terrible, and I felt the food was over priced. The quality of the meals however, was very good. Knowing the amount of extra guests that would be at the hotel for the weekend, and the functions, management did not seem to be prepared to handle the event. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kids first hotel stay Took my kids for their first stay in a hotel. We stayed in one of the Jacuzzi Suites, and they loved it. The staff was very friendly. Just wish they offered shuttle service around the city, instead of just to the Amtrak station and back. The Sunday morning breakfast buffet was tasty, just a little pricey. Overall a good experience, and we would probably go back.. November 6, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Exercise facility I was disappointed to see that the Crowne Plaza in Springfield has very limited exercise equipment. In the past few months they have had a treadmill and bicycle out of commission and these have not been replaced. While there is weight training equipment, there is only one cardio machine (a bike) for a hotel with 300 rooms. Otherwise, the hotel is great but this area needs major improvement! October 30, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi problems - Gross Fridge - Workout room?...not! This is the 10th time I have stayed at this hotel. I cannot fathom having a conference for 600 people and not having free wandering wifi. As a result some presenters even had trouble. Leftover food was in my fridge upon arrival...gross. There is a treadmill listed in the 'workout room' on the web - it did not exist. Exercise bikes are both broken and when we asked for them to be repaird they were still broken the next day. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant The room experience was excellent, but I had a disappointing experience with the restaurant. I thought being such a top shelf hotel, the food and service will also be excellent. We invited our daughter and husband to dinner and ate on Friday night because of the seafood buffet. My son in law loves seafood. He was disappointed. We waited an unusually long time for our salads, and within two bites, our meal was served. I was having steak, and my husband didn't have salad, but meatballs and spaghetti, so he took his meal. I complained and they took my meal back to the kitchen to keep it warm. My husband was disappointed with his meal, meatballs very cheesy tasting, and he doesn't like cheese. My son in law felt the salmon was too salty, the cod mediocre and my daughter shared my steak with me, which was just okay. Very disappointed for the first time eating there, and your beer selection was very limited. We will stay again, but avoid the restaurant. October 26, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Experience but Internet Should Be Free Hotel wide I stay at this hotel for business. I am a Priority Club member so I get the Interenet for free in my room and in the Lobby...but the conference I attended would have to pay a huge fee to get the Internet in the conference rooms. I would also have to pay extra to get it in the conference rooms. This seems ridiculous! I have stayed at other hotels where you get free wi-fi throughout! That's my only complaint...nice, clean, comfortable hotel otherwise. October 22, 2012

The Shop looked untidy, selling items like luggage and purses that looked like they had been there awhile. Limited selection of food/snack items and reading materials. Friday, Oct 12 - 1130 hrs - broke for lunch (not provided for meeting attending) Lobby Bar with sandwiches in case visible to lobby . Staff said they were closed. Would think hotel would try to provide as much as possible for the number of meeting attendees in the building. October 17, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by New Management, Property Going Down Hill This used to be a prime location while staying in Springfield. Rooms are outdated and dirty at times. Staff appears frustrated with new management and passes that on to the customer. Front desk staff often refuses to upgrade PC members despite ample rooms available. Room service trays litter the halls on a daily basis for hours at a time. Management was supposed to reach out to address some issues, but failed to do so in a timely manner. October 2, 2012
