My husband & I attended a Winter Wine Festival in the hotel. As expected, the hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff were 5-star friendly! Our room was very nice, had a small fridge, a nice large TV screen and a comfy bed with extra pillows. What more could you want? The breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Perfect!

Overall my stay was very nice. However, the bed linens seemed starched and so was noisy and a bit unconfortable. I asked house keeping to change the linens, but there was no change.

I was visiting the area for business and found the hotel very nice. The only draw back was no breakfast included with your stay and it took us three floors to find a vending machine that would accept cash. I would stay again.

My brother and I came to Springfield from out of state to attend a viewing and funeral. I did my research online of Springfield hotels and choose the Crowne Plaza. Our experience was even better than expected.

I have stayed here many times in the past and not had any issues. This time everything went wrong. Toilet overflowed, hairdryer was dead, bed was uncomfortable and not enough staff. What is going on with one of my favorite hotels?

Although the facilities themselves were in good order, my room could have been cleaner. Small things, nothing huge like dirty sheets or anything. Just wasn't as sharp as it could have been. Small things in the bathroom. Other dirty areas in the bed area. Hopefully was just some slight oversight by the staff.

Room was nice - especially larger bathroom. Sheets were a bit too crisp - starchy so not very soft - somewhat itchy. Nice restaurants. Hotel is right off the freeway so a fair amount of traffic noise - especially in the morning. Think that would be true of either side. Housekeeping did not replenish lotion so I had to ask for some at front desk. The worst part is internet access that was so slow I could not use it. Overall it was pleasant but doesn't meet my needs for ongoing stays there.

Unfortunately, I must provide a negative review regarding my stay. I booked four rooms for one night stay on Monday of last week. The cancellation policy was by Sunday night before 6 p.m., which is pretty stringent. I learned Sunday night that I wouldn't need one of the rooms. I called at 7 p.m. and was told there was nothing the hotel could do, and I would be charged for the room. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told the same thing. I could understand enforcing the policy if the hotel was full, but when I checked in, it was quite obvious that the hotel was empty. Additionally, we used three of the rooms.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and like it there. While you may have gotten that extra night from me last week unfairly, you will not receive any money from me in the future. I will definitely look for different lodging on my future trips to Springfield. There are plenty of options right in the same area.

Starting with the Bellman - Jeff - excellent!!! Very polite and willing to help and always meet you in the halls with a smile!
Kelly - WOW! She was WONDERFUL!!! If you needed something she was always there to help.
Nikki at the registration desk was a very pleasant young lady.
Overall...I thought this year's convention went very smoothly!!!
The only issue...the lost of two necklaces that I left when I checked out...so that is my fault! Hopefully they will be found!!!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. This was the first time I was disappointed. My room was dirty, and looked to be in the middle of the cleaning process when I arrived only housekeeping was no where to be seen. I contacted the front desk and they did send housekeeping up to finish. However the tub did not even appear to even be rinsed out after housekeeping had returned. There was still dirt in it. Dust was everywhere, perhaps this room had not been used in some time. I can live with dust, but a dirty tub is not okay. It was the first time I have ever felt uncomfortable in a room, there was just a unclean feeling about it. The furniture was a little beat up and there were stains on the comforter and lamp shade.
I will try again as this is the first bad experience I have had in staying at this hotel. I have been staying there at least twice a year since they built this hotel and it was the first bad experience that I have had. Prior to that we stayed at the Holiday Inn and loved the Holidome!!!! If I have another bad experience there are plenty of other hotels in the area to stay in.

We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza many times over the last 5 years with great satisfaction, but this time, the King bed was like sleeping in a hammock. Our backs hurt so we asked about a firmer bed and was told they were 'all the same.' Humm. Changed from a King to a double. Better, but still mushy.
Front desk was responsive and polite but I may not go back until the beds are flipped more often or they are replaced.
No treadmills were in the gym so we were disappointed about that and the jacuzzi was being refilled while we were at the pool so we couldn't use that either.

We had another wonderful experience at Crowne Plaza. We have gone there in the past and have never had a bad experience! The place was immaculate, the staff was very attentive and friendly (and very helpful)!
We had a small snafu that was out of the control of the staff and yet they reimbursed us so sufficiently-we appreciated that!
The suites are great and very roomy and the entire place was very quiet!

I stay at hotels on a regular basis. This hotel's staff was very friendly and my room was comfortable and clean. I visited their bar for an hour and enjoyed it. I did not eat at their restaurant, visit their business/office area, swim in the pool, or even notice if they had a work-out area. I'd stay here again if I ever needed to be in the area. The hotel's shuttle to and from the airport was perfect - the driver at the time (Jeff) was pleasant.

The hotel needs to invest a little bit of money into it's fitness center. Even purchasing a Bow-Flex machine would be a step up. The equipment worked like it hadn't been tuned up EVER. Very uncomfortable and disappointing.

I travel to Springfield a few times a year and always stay at this Crowne Plaza hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very professional and helpful.
The room I was in needed an outlet a little closer to the table for my laptop.
The location is close to many restaurants and stores.
I would recommend the Crowne Plaza Springfield to anyone traveling to the Capital City.

I've stayed at this hotel a handful of times over the past 4 years and never had a problem. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous. My complaint is directed to the housekeeping team. I checked in on Friday 11/23, Nikki at the front desk was a delight.
As you can see from the pictures I've taken, the bathtub/shower was full of mold. The clock in the room was an hour ahead which leads me to believe the mold in the bathtub/shower had been there for over a month due to the daylight savings being in October and the room not being booked since. Or that no one had changed the clock for a month which makes it worse knowing that housekeeping has missed that mold on their cleaning for the last month.
I've also attached a picture of the vent above the shower which was quite a sight to see while washing my hair. The inside was covered in grime and dusty mold. I wish I had taken a better picture as this one doesn't do my claim much justice. The window looking out leads me to believe housekeeping doesn't wash the windows in the room either.
I brought the mold issue up to the young man at the front desk the next morning while checking out, even showed him the picture I took. He was quite nonchalant about my complaint, thanked me for bringing it to his attention in a very condescending manner.
Overall, I was pleased with the front desk night staff checking in but very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the front desk help checking out the next morning.
I had just become a priority member that night which has me second guessing my decision to stay at these select hotels.

I wish there was a continental breakfast and open 24 hour coffee/snack shop. The coffee shop seemed to be closed more than it was open. I wanted hot tea throughout my stay, but there is none in the rooms, none anywhere in the hotel, and when in the conferences, the coffee and hot water for tea was taken away before most of us would have been finished drinking it.
The room size was great. I noticed that the coffee pot and glasses & mugs were covered in a haze of dust. I had to clean them before I could use them.

One of the best in the country.... I travel consistently all over the country...and I always try to stay at this location when I can. More importantly, my wife asks to stay there when we can...she likes it that much.

Great value for the bluegrass festival-thank you.
Our maidservice was above expectations.
There was some difficulty with the escalator, which was being repaired. Since so many people were present & trying to use the elevators, we tried to use the steps. My concern was that we could not get out on certain floors from certain stairs & not out of the building from out end.
We had a very enjoyed time. The hotel & room were very accomadating. We would certainly like to stay there again if we were in the area.
Also, location is very convenient to many eating choices.

The service by the staff was excellent. However, the whole stay was severely under staffed. Elevator service was terrible, and I felt the food was over priced. The quality of the meals however, was very good.
Knowing the amount of extra guests that would be at the hotel for the weekend, and the functions, management did not seem to be prepared to handle the event.
We will return, but expect changes if possible.

The Crowne Plaza in Springfield allowed me to relax in the evening and be fresh for the meetings in the morning. Very comfortable room, quiet, and clean. A nice touch to be rewarded with a coupon when I did not use the maid service everyday.
