my stay at Crowne Plaza

Check-in was efficient, though I had to wait some time to get an elevator, due to a quilting conference at the hotel. The room was clean, including the bathroom, with all the
essentials provided. I slept well, though there was some construction type noise outside the hotel. The hotel appearance outside and inside was impressive, with lots of room and polished wood in the hotel lobby and registration areas. In particular, I enjoyed the friendly staff who were attentive to my needs and requests. My order for room service was brought to my room timely and the food was good restaurant quality. I would have liked more instructions on how to operate the TV in order to get stations or movies.

It was there when I needed a place to stay!

The Crowne Plaza made my attending a conference easy, I live about 45 minutes away and my first class started at 8 AM, so I stayed at the hotel so that I could enjoy a good nights sleep and a leisurely breakfast.
I also
met friends and sat at dinner the night before and the wait staff let us sit and talk a long while without any hassle. Mission accomplished!

Do NOT stay here

We checked in to an unclean room. When I say unclean, I mean it still had trash, beer cans, the last guest room key, the last guest shampoo in our shower, used soap on the sink along with someones toothpaste and this just names a few of the unclean things.
I tried to call front desk and there was no answer (which I understood because when I checked in there was one person to check in) so I went to the front desk.
She was very polite and friendly and I understood it was not her fault but when I asked if I could expect a room in 1 hour I was amazed to hear maybe, we can try.
So I went to the restaurant in the Crown - do NOT eat here.
Overpriced, terrible service and the food was so bland.
Our table is still trying to figure out what the sauce that was served with our calamari was.
Bottom line - for the price you will pay you can find somewhere else that will be much better. I will never stay here again!

I apologize you were checked into a room that was not ready yet. I will address your review with the Front Desk. We try to get our guests early arrivals as often as possible, but there are times when it is simply not possible. I hope you will consider us for a future visit to Springfield.
