Great for Cardinal Fans to stay

A very enjoyable stay. Felt very safe and Mrs Pork the morning manager certainly made us feel like she valued us staying at Crowne Plaza. It was just a short walk from Busch Stadium. We will for sure book again. The room size was perfect, very spacious. We enjoyed a great breakfast and restaurant staff couldn't have been nicer.

Though nothing about our stay was "bad" per se, I didn't leave without some negative thoughts about the hotel overall. The room was comfortable and large, but had noticeable stains that suggested furniture hadn't been changed out in quite some time, etc.

While we LOVED the wait staff at breakfast each day (they were really fantastic), the front desk staff tended to be short with us and not overly friendly as we've come to expect from hotel front line crews (this was noted by several members of my group with separate interactions...we were staying there for a wedding).

Finally, our room was not cleaned in the 2 days we were there. Once on Saturday evening a crew came by around 5pm, but as we were preparing for a wedding we asked if they could return in about 30 minutes. No one ever came, and we had to repeatedly ask for new towels. In on instance, my family member in another room told us the housekeeping crew simply unlocked the door and walked in without knocking, while my family was still in the room (their room was never cleaned, either).

If I had to choose based on this experience, I wouldn't go out of my way to book another stay there.

Was impressed with the room. I LOVED the bed! I liked that I wasnt all the way at the top floor also. The balcony was awesome, I liked the view of the Arch from my windows. I wish I had stayed an extra night! Ill be back!

Good stay - great location

First, I expected a lot worse from reading the reviews so I was prepared. Yes, the hotel needs a major renovation which I understand that they are going to do, hopefully sooner than later. We had a great suite with full view of the Arch and that made it all worth it!
The carpets in the hallways were worn and the room carpets and ac unit needs major replacements. Walls needs to be washed or repainted, stains on them. They really need to retrain their housekeeping staff, they do such a horrible job in cleaning or lack thereof. They never vacuumed while we stayed for 5 nights nor did they clean the shower or wipe down any counters. When I came back to my room one day, I had to tell the housekeeping to replenish coffee and towels and kleenex. The whole entire time while she was in my room cleaning or lack thereof, she was on her cell phone. This is unacceptable. One day we came back to the room and they didn't give us coffee or wash clothes or toilet paper so I had to call to get those items. This hotel would be so much better if it was kept up and thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom. Most of the staff were friendly, we noticed that the night counter staff were not very friendly, however, all the day staff were friendly.
The bar area is a great place to hang out in the evening. We went every night and had a great bartender name Mio (sp?). He was fantastic and a great asset! He is the perfect person for the bar area and making everyone comfortable.
We appreciate all the assistance the group reservations manager did for us, she was great to deal with, very professional. I applaud her and the events planning manager for all their assistance. They are a very important part of that establishment and the hotel needs to clone them, we thank them for all what they did for us.
I would stay again IF they renovate the hotel and have staff who can clean rooms.
