I reserved 3 rooms and when we checked in at 5 p.m. none of the rooms were ready. The rooms have not been upgraded , torn curtains on the windows, etc. The one and only good thing about the hotel is location.

broken air conditioner, NO toilet paper, slow valet service

I stayed in a king/queen two bedroom, two bathroom suite on Saturday May 23, 2015. When I first got to the room, I went to turn on the air conditioners in the living room and both bedrooms because it was so hot. Neither air conditioner worked in either bedroom! The room also had two bathrooms, and there was no toilet paper stocked in either! When we come to St. Louis, we always get this suite.

I also parked valet, which I do everytime. I left something in my car and went down to the valet desk to get it and stood there for FIFTEEN minutes before someone came to help me. Leaving Sunday morning was just as bad.. I had all of my luggage and was standing there for another ten minutes before being helped.. And then I stood around another ten waiting for my car.. They only had two valet drivers staffed on a Sunday morning.. Doesn't seem right.

Oh, and they no longer have a shuttle service.

It seems as if lately, the Crowne plaza downtown is becoming more and more run down.. I was not pleased at all with my stay here this
time. We are traveling back to St. Louis the weekend of June 12 and were looking for different accomodations ..

Overall good experience except Staff and Service

Staff didn't let me know while checking in that I need to get a sticker from them on parking tag before I take out my car from public garage there next door. Because of that I ended up paying $5 unnecessarily. When I complained with all explanation to front desk staff, they didn't refund that $5. This became additional charges on top of what I had already paid $10 for parking as part of total bill.

Otherwise, room was great, value for money and in convenient place in downtown.
