Excellent Stay

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Stamford was excellent overall. The hotel lobby is beautiful and welcoming, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff helped make me feel at home. I look forward to my next stay!

"Under Construction"

I arrived at the hotel after a long day of travel. Nobody was at the front desk for check-in. After a period of time someone showed up. They were laying new tile in the lobby which made the public areas undesirable to use. Requested Welcome Bonus Points vs. snack bag. Points have yet to be credited to my account even after contacting the hotel via eMail address listed on webpage. There are other options in the area.

Poor service. Inattentive desk personnel. Had issues with room key. Took a long time to resolve. Stay at the Holiday Inn next door. Much better service. Rooms are just as nice.

Better than my first visit

The new ownership/management has definitely made great strides since I last stayed at this hotel. The lobby bar is finally open, there is actual room service for breakfast, and I liked the little amenities in the room. However, there are still some major issues that need fixing - the towels feel like I'm rubbing sandpaper on myself and the front desk staff are totally incompetent. No in-room fridges or microwaves either (extra charge).
