Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this place, you can go home again We love this place. We have stayed here several times while visiting relatives in the area. We grew up about ten miles from here, and initially we worried about being too far from family and businesses while staying here. No fear! ez on and off the Thruway to go anywhere you want efficiently and quickly. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Parking is plentiful. Be aware, no bathtubs. Highly styled comfortable modern upscale interiors and public spaces. This stay was three nights. April 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Design Meets Pleasant Nights Sleep This place was really beautiful and we just loved it. We had a great stay and loved the look of every aspect of the building. My only regret is that I will not likely be in the area to stay there again any time soon. April 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value and modern amenities Clean, comfortable rooms that have ultra-modern style. Good value for the Suffern area. March 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Colddddddddddd Everything was fine with stay with exception of the fact that room could not get over 58 degrees. Was told it was due to wind and cold outside. They taped up windows in a friend in room next to me but that only helped by a few degrees in there room. March 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Stay Beautiful hotel,I would recommend staying at this Crowne Plaza.I will return upon traveling NY-87 or NJ-17N.Just go enjoy the spacious hotel, enjoy said. March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Hotel The Crowne Plaza was an exceptional hotel. Newly renovated it was very clean and spotless. I appreciated the fact that everything was modern and brand new. The service was fantastic from the front desk to especially those working in the restaurant. I definitely recommend it! March 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Below average for such an expensive place. Kurig coffee maker in the room, and only 1 regular coffee cup. Couldn't get another one. No Refrigerator, no microwave. half the rooms overlook the very noisy atrium and bar where bar fights happened each night with yelling and screaming until 2am each night. Definitely NOT worth the price. Motel 8 would have been better. March 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pig with lipstick Nice lobby. However, after leaving the lobby area it was a pig with lipstick. We are platinum members, but were probably given the worst room in the hotel (first floor, high traffic area near maintenance office, noisy, longest walk from lobby). February 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service The hotel itself was great but I had a few problems while I was there. 1st was when coming back late from being out on the town my room key did not work not only once but twice so I was up and down from my room to the lobby trying to get it resolved. Also I got a wake up call at 7:00am in the morning that I did not ask for so I was not happy about that after being out late the night before. Also my T.V in my room did not work. All I got was I'm sorry. February 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room too small and way too noisy not sure who designed the layout of this hotel but it looked like all rooms and especially mine were on the same level as the restaurant and bar which is an open concept, so until the bar closed it felt like my bed was in the middle of the bar, so NOISY, not a good choice if you go to bed early. OH and for the 1 keurig k cup of regular coffee they had in the tiny room, they left the no refridgeration needed creamer which when I poured in my coffee, curdled and made my coffee chunky, YUCK....overall not a great experience, and I normally do not write reviews for hotels, but I do travel frequently. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Weird room arrangment I have stayed once or twice a year at this hotel for the past 25 years. It's about the best in the neighborhood and the staff, accommodations, and food are always satisfactory. But what in the world were they thinking with the bathroom design? No tub and no lower faucet so you have to stand in the water stream just to turn it on and - what's worse - to adjust the temp. I can't believe the architect who designed this actually ever used it. In fact, it's easier to believe that (s)he never took a shower before ever! And what's with the "find the toilet paper" game. Hidden out of sight under a cabinet and on a hook that allows the roll to easily become dislodged and land on the floor that may or may not be wet from the curtainless shower? I also wondered what the thing that was meant to be passing for a sofa was all about and could only conclude that was purely decorative, because it sure didn't appear to be intended for comfortable sitting. The bathroom door down by the convention area is my final beef. With so many people conscious about hand washing and general cleanliness, why would the door to the bathroom be designed to open in? Look ... you go into a bathroom however you need to, but you presumably head out with clean, washed hands. The best option is to use your elbow or at least the back of your hand to push down on a handle; but here the only option is to grab the same handle that everyone else has used to PULL the door open? All of this leaves me to think that the overall renovation plan was the product of a first year architecture student. I'll stay here again because it's still reasonably comfortable, but I sure hope that the Crowne Plaza hierarchy doesn't use this facility as a model for anything they might do in the future. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service by front desk I travel for business approximately 4-6 times a year and always book my stays at CP Suffern. Each time I have found the Front Desk Staff to always be professional, accomodating, friendly, and helpful. The hotel overall (lobby, bar area, resturant, and guest rooms) are very clean, modern, and nicely decorated. The only negative comment is that I find the chaise lounge in the rooms very uncomfortable and not a functional piece of furniture; especially if 2 people are in the room. A small couch or love seat would be a better choice. Also, the windows only have a thin shear that can be pulled open or close. The actual drapes are just for appearance and cannot be closed for privacy (major problem being on the first floor facing the back parking lot) and to block out the early morning light. Overall, my experiences at CP Suffern have been excellent. I would highly recommend your hotel to anyone traveling in the area. January 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by relaxing This Hotel was very relaxing from the time you entered until the time you departed. It is also in a great location that is easy to access from the highway. January 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel I have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. I would have rated it even higher if the room heater turned on quieter. This is by far the best hotel in Suffern. Very clean, excellent staff. January 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by didn't get what I paid for The hotel has been renovated and looks like a different place. Very well done, but the only disappointment I had was I paid for a room to include microwave and frig. However, the room didn't have it. There was a spot where these items should have been. The radio didn't work. Not sure if it is battery operated. I paid the extra for the amenities and should have got them. I didn't make a big deal because I was only there for the one night. I stayed in room 277. I would stay here again, but next time my room doesn't have what I paid for I will request another room that does. January 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable. I thought the hotel is looking very nice as a Crowne Plaza. The change in the accomodations and especially the serice was outstanding. I will definatly stay there again. Thanks again. December 11, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by crowne plaza - suffern Beds are amazing, i called in advance and i got upgrade by phone to exec room. room didnt have a fridge and faced a noisy hallway with NO CURTAINS THAT WOULD CLOSE FOR PRIVACY. strange. Front desk agent didnt acknowledge or care that i was platinum. no breakfast, water, drinks, etc, overall ok December 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Hotel I spend about 120 nights in holiday inn properties per year for the past decade and this hotel is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in the chain and most definitely the best crowne plaza hands down. I would compare the hotel to an intercontinental more than I would a crowne. The rooms were extremely spacious with large bathrooms and big showers (very unusual for crowne plaza). It seemed to be either very new or recently renovated. The restaurant on site I ate 3 nights in a row. It was very good every night, good beer selection, friendly service and they hold a reception with free Booz and snacks in the monstrous lobby certain nights. It's my new favorite and will be staying here every time I travel to the area hands down. December 6, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel Our room was clean , nicely decorated and had a great TV and internet service. We were able to bring our small dog in also and she gave it 5 woofs. The restaurant was good and the wait staff was very attentive. We will be back November 7, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My 40th High School Reunion This freshly-renovated, elegant hotel was the site of my 40th High School Reunion. There is not a single detail which wasn't seen to by a very highly-trained staff. Things went so effortlessly that we guests were left to do what guests are supposed to do: enjoy themselves, and then luxuriate in rooms whose modern decor belied the warmth with which the refitting of this hotel was accomplished. The food was magnificent, the occasion was magnificent, and the Crowne Plaza could have not been more of a wonderful experience if they tried. Everything was done so seamlessly that it belied the skill and dedication of each member of the staff. Job well and nobly done! November 2, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best, most accomadating place for my 40th high school reunion From the moment I walked into the Crowne in Suffern everything was perfect. The check in went flawlessly. My room was ready and very spacious, clean and comfortable. The reunion was fabulous partly because your hotel was so warm and comfortable. The food was excellent. The service was impeccable. I grew up in Spring Valley and it was wonderful to be back in Rockland County. Thank you for everything you did to make my 40th high school reunion so wonderful. November 2, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Service My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel as party of a wedding block!! We immediately thought the hotel was beautiful. Once we got home, we realized we forgot a toiletries bag which had our cologne and perfume in it. My husband called and luckily, housekeeping had turned everything in! Instead of keeping the expensive cologne, the staff was honest and did the right thing. Thanks to their honesty and professionalism, we were able to get our things back. Thank you for that! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly, helpful staff In addition to a very well kept facility, the staff at CP Suffern is outstanding. I am a frequent guest and they get to know my preferences and anticipate my needs. Their friendly greetings and fun banter make for an enjoyable stay. October 27, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good I had a very good experience here , the room was large and the bed was immense very clean and neat , the food was very good here and bar tender nice .. The only minor thing i had to say i thought it was still very expensive but since i was at a conference and all the things were worth being there . It evened it self out. I would stay there again if the conference is there next year. October 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Skigirl Having the bar in the open lobby is not a good idea. A group was thrown out and the bar was closed because they were noisy. Bars usually are noisy and there were a few large groups in the hotel that night. Rooms complained about the noise coming from individual rooms, coming from the bar and coming from the lobby. With the open atrium style, there's no place in the hotel to go! Staff at the bar, during the day, was very unaccomodating. Rooms were lovely! October 12, 2012
