Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 In need of some updating This hotel is based in a world-class location, Coogee Beach. Unfortunately, it has not been maintained to meet this standard and the rooms have a very tired and dated feel about them. A number of years ago this hotel was at its peak, however it is evident that there has been a lack of investment here. It's a shame because the bar's, restuarants and location are all fantastic. The staff are great though and should be commended. April 1, 2013

This is an excellent hotel positioned only a short distance from the city and it is located in a resort like enviroment. I would recommend this property to anyone. The staff could not have been more helpful, they really go out of their way to make you feel looked after. Also has great food options on site with a fabulous pool are too. Big bedrooms with late check out available and a room to shower later in the day. Fantastic would highly recommend and definately will be back ! March 22, 2013

Having good Internet access is critical to my success and has a very high priority in the consideration of what hotels to use. Unfortunately, this hotel rations Internet access. Consequently, my online work is often interrupted with a demand for more money or suffer a harsh reduction in speed. Every time my work is interrupted with this demand for money, I must start over -- wasting much of my online effort and time. In my experience, this is the only hotel on Earth that rations Internet bandwidth. If they persist with this policy, I will find it necessary to find other lodging when in the Sydney area. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quiet comfortable room and fabulous food We upgraded to an ocean-view room only to have rain, thunder and unusually cold temperatures for the duration of our stay -3 days. Disappointing not to be able to use the balcony because the views and atmosphere were marvellous. but because of the weather we watched more TV on a huge screen and probably ate in more than we intended to and that proved to be a bonus! Delicious gourmet food in the hotel restaurant from breakfast to the end of the day. Transport was easy with bus stop and taxi rank outside and despite the weather it was only a short walk to cafes and shops including a great fruit shop (we were obviously over-indulging!) and the beach across the road from the hotel. Lots of activity there despite the weather. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to return and will bring an umbrella next time! February 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean and comfortable Good service from front desk very helpful and explaned other features that Crowne Plaza were offering ,nice view from room ,very clean inside .Staff very helpful allround the hotel.The only thing that should be reviewed is the parking as it should be complenentry when staying at the Crowne. Apart from that we had a very good time and enjoyable night . February 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent overall experience We had our daughter's wedding at Crown Plaza Coogee. We stayed in the presidential suite for the wedding party to prepare. The suite was perfect. The bed comfortable. The staff and service exceptional and the wedding was perfect. We had our own private wedding planner who made the experience stress free. All the staff from the front desk, concierge to housekeeping were polite and helpful. Thankyou Crown Plaza for a wonderful experience. We hope to be back soon. February 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Thw first reason why you'd stay at the Crowne Plaza in Coogee is the location: right on Coogee beach. We had a room overlooking the beach which was lovely. I deginitely recommend a stay in Coogee as a nice way of enjoying the Sydney beachside vibe. The front desk and concierge were also helpful for recommendations in the local area. February 3, 2013

Unfortunately the weather didnt last and we checked out earlier rather than taking advantage of our late check out. We arrived early and were checked into our room straight away.What a joy that was. Thank You! Our only critisicim would be it took almost an hour to have our drinks brought to us at the pool and had to locate towels from reciption.It was a busy week end and the hotel was pumping with activity.Maybe more staff were required to help. Would recommend to all my friends and family. February 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unbelievable service...nothing was to much trouble We recently stayed with another couple as a 30th birthday trip away...from the moment we arrived nothing was to much trouble for the any of the staff, our room was lovely and looked over the beach. We had amazing cocktails in the bar with the best view over the water. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. It just happened to be the hottest day ever on record so the air conditioning struggled abit and our friends toilet seat kept falling off, but other than that I would definitely stay again, and would recommend to all my friends. The location is wonderful-beach, restaurants, shops, pool & great coastal walks. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and offered a great view of the beach. The breakfast offered a good variety and was great. We didn't try the restaurant as decided to try some local cultural cuisine -Thai & Italian. The Italian was amazing! We would definitely like to return when time permits us to get away from the farm. Next time instead of walking to Bondi we would like to explore the other side & walk to Maroubra. May visit Bondi Junction and do some city shopping.The options are wonderful from this great location. January 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Magnificent room, but questionable restaurant We had a wonderful room, complete with balcony overlooking Coogee Beach. Reception staff welcomed us back and we felt very much at home. That's what life is like at the Crowne Plaza at Coogee Beach. We'll continue to stay there when we're in the area, BUT......... I'm afraid that, possibly because it was a Sunday night, Blue Salt seemed to be having a rough time. Service staff were excellent, wine selection equally so. But I can't forgive a rare steak arriving well done, nor can I forgive a dessicated seafood grill - tough prawns and dry barramundi. Nowhere near as good as the restaurants at Crowne Plaza in Terrigal (superb) and Canberra (very good). My wife felt that we do much better at home. Why should we eat out? On the other hand Breakfast was excellent! Indeed, the value for money was better than most. I suppose the moral is... great place to stay....great breakfast.... but there are plenty of other options in Coogee for dinner. January 21, 2013

From the restaurant to the reception to the concierge, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The room was very comfortable (a King suite) - we actually spent most of out time there because it was spacious and cool. Despite a pretty full hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again. The only negative, which is not really the hotel's fault, is that we were on the second floor and didn't really have a decent view of the ocean, despite requesting an ocean view. It was more of a view of the hotel courtyard and pool. Food was awesome! I recommend the lamb chops. January 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room and location fine... but The room, staff and the location of the hotel are great and it would be easy to recommend staying at the hotel if you only plan to use it as a base to travel around... I was however very disappointed that there was no free wi-fi in the room... they offer 20 mins per day per device free in the lobby, and there is the use of their own computers in the business centre, but 20 mins isn't long enough to do business and the business centre tended to be used by people checking their facebook and planning trips and wasn't an atmosphere where anyone could actually do any business as you are pretty much sat on top of each other. You would think for the price of the rooms that it would be possible to include wi-fi as part of the costs. I also found the Blue Salt restaurant to be expensive for what was on offer. It wasn't that the food was bad, it was well presented and perfectly edible, it just wasn't premium food like the price tag was which was disappointing. Still had a lovely time during my stay, and like I say, the room, staff, and location were excellent... just let down by the rest January 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Average accomadation expected alot nicer I found that the rooms with no views were expensive with no breakfast included in the price or even parking .Very disappointed in the pool (old) which looks nothing like in the pictures and not very child friendly wouldnt stay here again.But the staff were very friendly.
