I recently had a long stay in Crowne Plaza Coogee. I had stayed there in the past and at that time had thought the whole place needed a bit of a spruce up to bring it up to date, well to my surprise that has happened. Firstly the rooms are fresh and well laid out. I stayed in 3 different rooms on my recent visit. The romms on Level 3 were my prefered layout. The rooms overlooking the ocean directly were delightful. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well each night.
House keeping standards are high.
Front desk staff are excellent, very attentive and very easy to communicate with. It's clear this group pay a lot of attention to staff development.
The restaurant and room service were very good, some excellent value meals and very good speed of service. breakfast is a little expensive but there is a huge choice, I guess I look for a quick simple breakfast.
The usual mini bar and snacks are on the expensive side but no different to any other hotel group.
I would happily stay here again and look forward to my next stay.

We spent 5 days at the Coogee Plaza over NYE 2012. The hotel is in a brilliant location opposite the beach and has a lovely pool with views towards the ocean.
The rooms were OK, smaller than some hotels we had stayed in, but very clean and comfortable.
There was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and we particularly liked the children's games near the pool and the free tea/coffee.
The only thing that marred our visit was when we checked in we were given our room key and when we went to the room somebody was already in it and we disturbed them in bed!! We were shouted at and it did not get our visit off to a good start. The staff were very apologetic and we were immediately given another room and some biscuits and 4 chocolates to apologise - but given it was a 4 star hotel we expected better service.

Who could resist a perfect post christmas wind down with an ocean view of the exquisite Coogee Beach, surrounded by a well maintained hotel & enthusiastic, happy & helpful staff directing you to fabulous eateries, bars & local attractions of the area!

Atmosphere was great!, beach views are beautiful but paid the price, dinner prices are high, charging for internet is a negative for me! they give you free 20 minutes then cut you off per day.. not very customer friendly in that regard.
Room service was not completed until late in afternoon, by the time we got back, it was too late didn't have clean towels, or clean room, had to call desk several times for towels..

This year my wife and I decided to have our Xmas lunch at the Crowne Plaza Coogee as it was our first year the kids were not in country. The experience was great there was plenty of everything and the food was all cooked and the presentation was excellent. Can only recommend the accomodation, food and location.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Coogee and will back during the year for another visit.
Coogee Crown Plaza has a welcoming atmosphere, which is missing in the bigger hotels which come across as railway stations, people in and out all the time.
When the staff recognize you they say hallo etc. which makes a big difference,

The Crowne Plaza Coogee has rooms with fantastic views. It has good facilities and is close to the nice villagey area of Coogee. It is very close to the beach. It has all that you would want in a hotel near a large city, however I was disappointed that there was not free wifi. Most hotels around the world these days have free wifi, and in fact we went to the Coogee Bay hotel down the road for a beer and lunch and they had free wifi in the beer garden.

Hotel is in a great location but the common areas are looking tatty especially the carpets in the hall ways. Rooms were comfortable but we had ants in the bathroom.

Working for the government means that it can often be quite hard to find a hotel within the allowance we have to follow.
This particular instance we were able to secure a room within the guidelines and stay near the beach!
Good clean room, helpful staff. Definitely would stay here again.

Stayed many times at Crowne Plaza, the atmosphere and location is fantastic in Coogee, and always great to be so close to the beach and many restuarants.
Hotel food has always been fantastic. Some of the rooms are tired, ones that have be renovated look great.

I thought the room rate was a little high and prohibitive for a weekend stay when compared to similar hotels in Sydney. However it is in a nice location by Coogee beach at Sydney. Clean rooms and great dining. Be prepared to pay for it though. If you can get a discount price then I would highly recommend it.

our room was very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed, hallway carpet was dirty and stained and needs cleaning or replacing. Dinner in your dining room was very ordinary, we were disappointed in the food generally.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach the night before my wedding day in the Reef Suite - beautiful spacious room, picture perfect views! After a quick friendly check in I arrived to my room to find a lovely bottle of champagne along with a card from the Front Office team!
My family and friends were also in the hotel occupying several rooms, all of them were so impressed by the rooms and all the staff's friendliness and dedication to assist in any request - Front Desk, Concierge, Reservations & Meetings and Event team (before even arriving in the hotel), Housekeeping and all Food and Beverage staff.
My pre-wedding reception was held at the hotel's Oceans Bar right on the corner of the hotel opposite beach - gorgeous views again. Ocean's was a hit with all the guests, we got platters served and had a bar tab (which didn't go over the limit at all, it forced multiple rounds of Jagerbombs before the guests left - just to get near to the limit, which were very enjoyed to say the least!).
My husband and I could not be more pleased with our stay and function there.
There is one section of the guest experience rating is, did the hotel help me achieve my goals? Without a doubt - Our wedding was unforgettable. Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, Thank You!

We visit the Crowne Coogee very regularly as we have a daughter who attends UNSW so our comments are just not from one experience. The reception desk manager (Ari) is just fantastic and always presents a keen interest in all the guests at checking in. The rooms are quiet and never disturbed by folks in the passage or ajoining rooms.
Great views of the ocean and heaps of food options close by.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach in spite of the day I had prior to getting there. My original flight was cancelled so I was late leaving Brisbane.
I eventually arrived at my hotel only to find they had already allocated my room to another guest, so when I was transferred to another hotel I was expecting the third event to go wrong too...
I was greeted warmly and efficiently checked in by a team of helpful people with friendly faces. I made my way to my room only to discover the door wouldn't unlock. I tried quickly, slowly, and a mixture of the two - nothing worked.
Annoyed, frustrated, and tired, I returned to reception to relay the details only to be intercepted by the friendly Concierge who asked if she could help me.
She persuaded me to let her have a go and see if the lock would budge for her.
I simple swipe later my door opened and I was able to fall onto my very comfortable bed for a desperately needed rest.
Maybe bad news doesn't always come in threes.
Maybe I'm getting a bit 'past-it' (Fifty years is rapidly approaching), maybe I was beyond caring, who knows, but what I do know is my downward-spiralling trip pulled out of it's nosedive shortly after I arrived at Crowne Plaza Coogee.
Send my thanks to the whole Team there - I reckon they're all Rockstars!

Thank you for looking after all of us and handling all the bookings of all our visitors and relatives so efficiently. This hotel was perfectly placed for our function and everyone had no problem getting to the wedding ceremony and reception. The rooms were all well laid out and very clean. So thank you to all the staff at Crowne Plaze Coogee for making our stay so enjoyable. Looking forward to staying here again.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza was made that extra special due to the lovely staff for our four day stay. Nothing was a problem and their smiles were not un noticed. They were extremely lovely to our two children. The only downside was I believe the hotel needs a little TLC especially the pool, our family has stayed in many hotels all over the world and believe value for money is only fair here. Need to lower the prices to fit in with the hotel now is quite ageing. But otherwise clean rooms.
