We expected a higher level of cleanliness.
General cleaning of the soil is not done thoroughly.
Bottom tiled unclean, especially in the bathroom.
Some dust accumulation...
Worn carpet ....

Staff was very helpful with telling us where things were located and getting us transportation to and from locations. Their over all knowledge of restaurants etc.in the area was very valuable to us.We had a problem with the coffee pot not working in our room, they addressed it right away. we had a new coffee pot within 20 minutes. GREAT PLACE TO STAY.

This hotel has a nice lobby and restaurant area; however, the rest of the hotel is weary. I was on the 8th floor, ceiling tiles were missing and there was a large gash in the center of my room. Furthermore, I thought it was really petty that they wanted to charge $5 a day for a refrigerator that would have to be brought to the room. Really? Overall, I wasn't really impressed with the hotel--I was surprised it had such a high start rating upon arrival. Best part though--the bed, very comfortable!

Came to visit University of Tampa and had a great room and location. My only negative was a very slow sink when it came to running water but everything else met or exceeded expectations and we will stay again when my daughter enrolls.

I stayed at the Tampa Westshore for a week in early February 2013 on business and could not have been more pleased with my stay. Everything from the quality of the room, the helpfulness of ALL the staff that I interacted with, to the outstanding breakfast served, room service and exercise facility made my stay an excellent one!!
I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again next time I'm in Tampa on business!!

The lobby is noisy and cold in appearance. The room was on the ground floor and we killed 3 palmetto bugs on arrival. The ceilings were low and the hotel was generally much less than CROWN PLAZA quality.

Came in for Gasparilla got a good deal on the room. It was a clean room, great view. I'll definitely go back when I staying in Tampa. Friendly staff. However DO NOT USE BLUE ONE Transportation group. They are a 3rd party shuttle servive group that the hotel has on site. They charge $10 a person and only drove us 4 miles to the parade. Their vehicle smelled like vomit and the driver gave us a business card and told us he'll pick us up later. Later came a we called the company and the driver made us walk 2 miles away from the parade so he can get to us. 2 hours waiting he never came and never picked up his phone or called back. After a long time of searching for a cab we finally got one and he only charged us $5 a person to get us back. That company is definitely making Crown Plaza look horrible.

Paid for Excutive Club floor Stay, which was not that at all. Checked in, sent to 11th floor never told no ice machines or soda or snacks on that floor. Club floor sitting room locked and dark. Asked for King bed which turned out to be Queen size bed. Nothing special for this floor. Was told that there would be Starbucks coffee in the room none for 2 days stay and all I got was excuses. Was told I would have one day stay taken off my bill that was not done I was charged the fee for when I made the reservations and then when I left. Manager would not come to desk when I went to complain. This was not an EXECUTIVE FLOOR STAY. And when my husband was coming back to the room a bunch of drunk women from the bar accosted him and made advances to him. This is liquor being served to the excess to bar patrons and guests in the hotel.

We booked into the hotel because of an early flight from TPA....location was excellent, staff went out of their way to help you and the room was spotless and well equipped. I will stay at this hotel again!

This location is a model of how hotels should be operated. I have stayed at this property on several occasions and am always pleased with everything about this hotel. Rooms are always spotless, check in is very efficient, and every staff member goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and appreicated.

Perfect airport location. Timely airport pickup and great transportation in 3 mile radius. Hotel's free shuttle took us to 2 great malls, a bay view restaurant and also to a walking path. Great service, comfortable spacious room, good bed and nice bathroom. Well maintained, and great value. Nice bar and a Starbucks plus a good breakfast. Highly recommend.

When in Tampa, the Crowne Plaza is my preferred hotel and am not happy when I have to stay elsewhere due to the hotel being full. In any case, the last time I was there, I mentioned that I liked a particular room and when I arrived in two weeks time for a subsequent trip, the staff had reserved that room for me. I was blown away that by merely mentioning this preference, they took care of my next stay by giving me the room. So hotel "A" rating...staff..."A++"

As a platinum member for several years for Priority Club I was expecting this property to have a completed member lounge. To my surprise they were just starting to create one. The hotel was fine but for the value I'd rather stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

The Crowne Plaza Westshore was a modern up-to-date hotel. The on property restaurant and lounge choices were a plus. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and the staff was friendly. The location was great also near downtown and next to a mall with restuarants. Cons would be the cold outdoor pool/no spa and the signs in the rooms advertising $3 Coronas in the lounge but getting charged $6 each in the lounge even after mentioning the signs in the rooms. Also the windown blinds do not do an effective job keeping out sunlight in the mornings.

My company conducted a multi-day training session at the Crowne Plaza, and several of us stayed over night for several nights. The staff was extremely professional and helpful, including Jackie, Edwin, Jack, and others, in terms of coordinating and setting up the facilities, helping us with shipping equipment in and out, catering, A/V, and conducting the meetings overall.
My only complaint about the hotel is that the (free) internet service is spotty; the wireless signal appears strong in the rooms I stayed in, but the connection goes in and out, I couldn't use my Company's secure VPN, and I couldn't stream video reliably.

Your staff is always great, but Jorge went above and beyond for me, in my opinion, when I checked-in for my last stay. It was a Friday night and he was visibly slammed at the front desk. I asked him for a room with a refrigerator, and he said that it was not possible but to hold on a minute. He easily at that moment could have said, no (and I certainly would have understood), checked me in, and I would have went my way. Instead, I patiently waited a bit at his request and he took the extra time to triple check his availability and in the end, he accommodated me with a refrigerator. I usually don't care where my room is or what type of room I get. So, it was nice to see that Jorge helped me out on the one occation that I had a specific request.

The bathroom was a pleasure. Big tiled shower with glass doors - no useless tub or creepy shower curtain. Everything was super clean even though the hotel is not really new. The food was very good and everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to everything.

We had a 5:45 AM flight on Tuesday to San Diego, Checked in on Monday night. Great room, great price and free parking for 7 days. 7 minute ride to the airport. Saved $70 on long term parking. Room was the "best". Even the shuttle driver was top shelf.

I recently stayed at this location for 2 weeks. I was in a Cabana Suite and it was very nice. Plenty of room. It did not feel like the typical hotel room where you eat, sleep, watch TV and work all in the same room. The fitness room was excellent. It had all the equipment that I use and then some. The staff was always friendly and helpful. It goes a long way to be greeted by the front desk staff as I walked in every day. The breakfast staff made sure I had what I wanted every morning. I will stay there again on my next visit.

I stayed here for a work related trip and it was perfect. They offered a really good breakfast every morning, which was included with the room. The restaurant attached the hotel was reasonable priced and had a good food selection as well. The gym and pool were of a good quality. The staff were courteous and helpful.
All things considered, I couldn't think of a better place to stay during travel for work. Everything I needed was close at hand, I was able to be very productive and free up some time to get workouts in. I wish every place I traveled too was this good (I travel a lot for work).
This hotel would be equally appealing to me if I was staying in Tampa on a vacation.
